I went to two stores in person for my hunt for a futon, in addition to online searching. Basically I stopped at Futon World first...I thought the store felt kind of barren and weird energy for whatever reason. They didn't have any futons that looked like couches, so i kept searching. I came next to Futon Factory and the guy Jose that works there is so knowledgeable and helpful. I told him I wanted to spend about $300 and I wanted a really small unit. He showed me the futon I ended up buying. I spent about $150 more than I wanted to but i feel like this bed will probably last longer, and be a better quality than a couch futon. I also like that I'll be able to change out the mattresses if it gets old. I laid on the mattress and it really feels like it will be comfortable like a real bed. Delivery and set up of the futon is only $40...which I think is a steal. I was out the door for $450 installation and delivery included. read more

Went in looking for an adult sized folding foam chair the converts to a bed. Only saw kid sized ones but I did see a folding foam bed. Jose asked that I take a look at something that he had just got it, it was the PERFECT item that I wanted, a folding foam chair that converts to a twin bed. Well I can raise my review up balls in your court. But this placed ripped me off. Made me feel special by stating that if I paid cash I could get it cheaper. So I did one day later I'm @&#@ing pissed clean beans for 3+ hours. It broke my vacuum too I had to finish by hand. Dont buy vinyl or at least test the sh@# of your bag before leaving. read more

I was in need of futon to add to my daughters playroom where guests can sleep comfy. I came across this place based on fellow Yelper's reviews. Jose the sales man was great in answering our questions and even recommended we go with a cheaper mattress based on our needs. I felt we got an honest deal however the mark-up on furniture can be astronomical so It's hard to tell. If you are in need of a futon, be sure to holla are Jose!! Tip: Street Parking only and most of the furniture needs to be shipped from the warehouse so don't expect to walk out of there with your new furniture on the same day. I wen in yesterday (Saturday) and Jose said he'll call me when it's ready for pick-up. I'm not sure if things are any different if you have them deliver and set-up for you. read more

The selection of futons and futon frames at this store is pretty good. The owners son helped my wife and I. He was very knowledgeable. When we had made a decision of what futon and frame we wanted to purchase his father took over (Jose I think). Our in-store experience was a good one. Delivery was insisted and we (regretfully) resigned to have the purchase delivered. The delivery location was Corona and the owner said he would deliver the futon and frame (and set it up) on Tuesday before the store opened (10 AM). This worked out great for us and for him too because of the morning traffic; he wanted to be back in Orange to open the store as close to 10 as possible. Tuesday came and I waited, and waited, and waited. I called the store number (only number I had) at 0719, 0825, 0916, and again at 1019 (at which time I was running late). I gat a call back at 1021 and the owner said he was getting ready to load the futon and frame into the truck. WHAT! This is where the experience turned for the worse. I was already late and not willing to wait any longer. With SO Cal traffic, my order wouldn't be delivered, at minimum, until noon; NOON! I told the owner I wanted to cancel my order and asked that he put my money (over $1500.00) back on my credit card and he began to yell and argue with me in a tone that was not appreciated. He said he wouldn't credit my account and I would need to dispute the charge with my credit card company. So I did, he lost but then on the last day he had to appeal his losing, he did. So I provided phone records and a copy of our receipt that stated morning delivery and he lost a again; I'm glad that he hand wrote 'morning delivery" on the receipt. I gave two stars because the initial in-store experience was ok. If the owner hadn't been such a jerk and refunded our money, or better yet, delivered our purchase when promised, I would be giving this company a five star rating. As it stands I say "enter at your own risk" at this store. read more

A few years ago we came to Futon Factory for a medium Pink 3 princess beanbag. They didn't have one. they made a special order and it was done in a week. My grand daughter loves it. Now it was time to get one for my Grandson. We had a custom made Angels on top Dodgers on one side and KC Chiefs on the other side. It took a week. We picked it up and was so surprised how it looks. Purchased 2 Futon Frames, one with a matress one without as the matress on one of the futons we are replacing is in good shape. Paid for them to deliver and assemble. Price paid was fair, and Jose was helpful in picking out the units we wanted. Only issue was the matress that was delivered was incorrect for the futon we purchased, so now I have to pick the correct one on my way home from work. read more
