After browsing some pieces online, we decided to drive to Ashley in the Mainplace Mall. Much better to touch and sit on the sofa/loveseat than to buy it sight unseen or rely on reviews. We entered the store and was promptly greeted by Sabino Salgado. He stayed in the zone to answer any questions as we were looking at sofa recliners and loveseats. Once we made the choice, he was there to answer questions about the pieces we selected and to queue up the order. He mentioned that Ashley is having 12 months, no interest financing and I was interested in that to help me budget for this purchase. Yay! I got approved. I would recommend Sabino. He was professional and pleasant to deal with. It was a great experience. My boyfriend and I just moved to Orange County from the Bay Area. We needed to furnish an entire apartment as we got rid of all our furniture when we moved. We wanted to explore the area / mall and walked into Ashley Furniture to browse. We were immediately stopped by Zana and were told that it was company policy to follow around customers to help them browse. We thought this policy was invasive and didn't allow us to freely shop and consider our options. We also saw other people shopping freely without a chaperone so we felt targeted. She even told us that she thought we were teenagers when we revealed we are in our 30s with a child. She also kept talking about financing options if we didn't have the funds to purchase. We felt very awkward and ended up leaving without purchasing anything even though we need basically everything for our new apartment. Ashley Furniture should really reconsider this store policy (if it's true). I have a feeling she just wanted the commission and lied about the policy because we were the only ones being followed around. read more

I purchased a sofa from Ashley Furniture in March 2025 for over $4,000, expecting basic quality and honesty. Instead, I got a defective product and a company that refuses to stand behind what it sells. In less than a year, with a total usage of maybe 30 hours, the cushions have severely sunk. My wife and I are almost never at home, so this couch has seen virtually no use. There is absolutely no justification for this kind of failure. To make matters worse, I was sold an "extended warranty" with clear assurances that it would cover everything, including cushion issues. That turned out to be completely false. After two so-called "expert" inspections and more than six phone calls totaling hours of my time, they are now denying coverage and backtracking on what was promised. This is not just poor quality, it is blatant misrepresentation. I have two witnesses who were present when I was told the warranty would cover cushion failure, especially this early on. Now they are pretending otherwise. I will be taking this matter to small claims court. Avoid this company at all costs. I will never buy from them again and will continue sharing this experience so others do not fall into the same trap. read more

(obviously we don't want to pay for something you don't get and can't even access through) anyway... this dude came off pushy.. following us around the store and also started making noises (lmao this didn't intimidate us but annoyed us especially when I'm pregnant and I get annoyed quickly which started with the following and then hand clapping or slapping hands on a couch) mind you we wanted to buy a lot of things there... we had our kitchen dining stuff picked out, beds, looked at the fire place stuff in the back, couches & all and literally took pictures of it on my phone & wrote it down so when we were done we could go up and start making our purchase but anyway.. we left which sucks because we wanted to spend our money there. I strongly advise against shopping at the Ashley Furniture store in Santa Ana. If you do decide to purchase from them, do not buy the 5-year Premium Protection Plan. Ashley and the protection plan provider deny all claims. I have repeatedly asked for assistance with my issue, but no help or resolution was ever offered. I told them I needed a couch that would not scratch easily if my cats decided to scratch it. My mom and I came here on Wednesday and she called in for a mirror and they said they had some in stock. Personally I think two stars was too generous; but I'll give two because they helped us look for it. Other than that, the service was absolutely horrendous. I don't know what kind of sale tactic is to guilt trip and be rude, but it's not working for us. We ordered a bookcase headboard bed with drawers on the side of the bed, for about a thousand dollars. We bought this bed on a 3 day weekend sale and it came with free delivery and set up. The bed arrived a few days later and the crew said there was no hardware, so they left the pieces of bed on the floor and left. We drove to Ashley in Santa Ana Main Place and spoke to the manager and showed him pictures. The manager was Manny and was a great guy, he made a few phone calls and told us the bed would be returned and a new bed with hardware delivered. Great! However with delivery service they argued about just bringing out hardware and we said no, because after this bed was delivered we kept getting texts that the delivery with the bed in pieces was complete and they were done! It took another few weeks before a crew came and picked up the bed in pieces off the floor and brought a new bed with hardware and assembled it. All this time our son whose new bed this was sleeping on the floor on his new mattress. The AI messages they send from delivery are ridiculous and we got a few saying they hoped we were happy with our new bed. The one in pieces on the floor with no hardware. After being on hold for hours and sending photos no one has responded and been over a month sleeping on the floor with our newborn baby and toddler. Oh Ashley, you did your best. Eventually, I received my living room set. After four appointments, 19 calls, and taking a chill pill, everything worked out. The first appt excuse, we have the love seat and tables but forgot the couch and rug. The second appt excuse, the couch was damaged. The third appt excuse, they forgot to load the couch and rug. The fourth appt- finally arrived. (They called me 19 times to confirm the 3rd appt. And they still didn't show up) If you are unable to deliver, it would be nice to let the customer know. This way I'm not blocking out the window time to be home. After battling conversations with several people.... I finally spoke to someone that came through. I asked him "I have a yes or no question. Just tell me, is the couch is in stock? if not, I'd rather u tell me the truth than to give me an appt time I want to hear" - and three days later it was finally delivered. : I purchase the mattress at the Huntington Beach location at, 7212 Edinger Ave. Huntington Beach, CA 92647 Online that specific mattress is listed at a comfort level of "ultra plush" - THE softest level of mattress. As well when I asked the sales rep when I was in the store to direct me to the softest mattress in the store was below $1000. He specifically showed me the two mattresses listed under alter Plush category. Both are sleep groove mattresses. I couldn't really tell in the store, because I only sat on them for a couple moments but based on what I saw online saying it's the softest bed in the store and the sales rep directing me to the mattress I figured I chose. I made the right choice. I am someone who NEEDS a very plush mattress!! The last mattress I bought from Ashley, was wonderful and ultra plush this one however, is a nightmare. When it was dropped off, I noticed it felt extremely hard so I waited about a week until it was fully out of the box and had time to properly expand. It was still hard so I called the store. They sent a mattress technician to my house on the 13th day that I had the mattress. Of course, I only had 12 days to return the mattress so this was not helpful, or remotely fair. I asked the technician why the bed was so hard and he didn't know why. so I did some research online about these particular mattresses. "NAPLAB" a VERY reputable mattress testing company did a full review and in depth testing on these specific Ashley Sleep Gruve Plus mattresses and confirmed what I thought all along. The mattresses are NOT remotely soft or plush (literally that's exactly what the nap lab results actually said verbatim). They rate the firmness at a level 6 out of 10- which is actually MORE firm than average! I have not slept one solid night on that bed - and I wake up extremely sore. I am very upset that I spent $1000 only to be misled. I never ever would have purchased that HARD mattress had it not said both online and in the store that it was "ultra plush". It's false advertising! I am a single mother who works TWO full-time jobs, and now I don't have a bed to sleep on! read more

My boyfriend and I stopped by in hopes of finding something for our new apartment and when we got inside we started to look at a couch when this old man came up to us (which we expected at this store). He asked us if we were looking for anything since they had black Friday sales. We told him we weren't looking for anything in specific and kind of just wanted to look around first. His attitude immediately changed and told us if we wanted to look around we could've just looked online because "now is the time to buy not look". We became upset at his change of attitude and then he asked us if there was anything he could do for us after that. We told him not at the moment, since again, we wanted to look around first. He then basically kicked us out of the store and told us "then you guys have a good night" and nudged us towards the door. Afterwards my boyfriend and I left, in shock and upset at what had just happened. On top of that, he also mentioned to us that the shipping time of furniture pieces could be up to 8 weeks during the holidays. It's as if they don't want to sell furniture and hate their job. I have been a long-time customer of this store, but my recent experience has left me deeply disappointed. Since the departure of the previous manager, the quality of service has significantly declined. The new manager mentioned to us that the former manager was let go due to "offering $50 discounts". We visited the store intending to purchase a dining table and chairs for ten people. Despite being ready to make a substantial purchase, the manager refused to offer any discounts--even on delivery charges. Feeling undervalued as customers, we decided to take our business elsewhere. At Living Spaces, we received exceptional service, including a $1,000 discount on an $8K multiple furniture purchase and 0% financing for 18 months. We found a great deal on a China cabinet in their clearance section and also bought two love seats and a sofa in addition to the table and chairs. Interestingly, the manager from the Ashley's called the next day, stating that "Corporate just emailed us and we have big discounts to offer you." A day late and a dollar short! I would advise others to consider alternative furniture stores that are more willing to accommodate customers with competitive discounts and 0% financing, especially in the current economic climate. I realize that not everybody likes to bargain, but most furniture stores will give you an unadvertised discount (on top of the published discounts) if you nicely push. Bargaining is obviously against policy now at Ashley's and they're going to lose out big time. read more

I would leave zero stars if I could. We purchased a tv accent cabinet and we're told we would get it In 3 days. It's been two weeks, 4 different schedule deliveries. I reached out to my sales person manny to make sure it would be canceled and he never followed through. The store actually hung up on me when trying to cancel the order myself.
