Craig, the owner, was certain that he could repair it, so we set a time for me to bring it to his shop. He gave me clear directions and met me at my car to take the chair out and up to his shop. He carefully assessed how he would go about repairing it and said he would have it repaired by the following week. I was delighted when I picked it up yesterday, seeing that Craig not only expertly repaired the rung, he took the extra step of painting it, matching the red color perfectly. Craig is an expert in his field, having worked in furniture repair and refinishing for years. He clearly loves what he does and takes pride in his work. I almost want to break some of our furniture so I can do business with him again. Just kidding! I decided to leave work early at 2PM to arrive before the 3PM close time. A hand written sign was posted on the door that said "sorry closed today" So ridiculous! Poor service and good luck ever getting work done by this upholstery shop. I also looked in the window and saw an old run down building that was dirty and unorganized. The owner told me the plain glass doors he orders are coated and the water will repel and I won't have to worry about hard water stains. I ordered the doors the owner recommended based on what he told me. I have only had the glass shower doors a few months and they are completely covered in hard water stains and look horrible. I contacted this business twice and explained what is happening and asked if I got the glass doors that were recommended to me. No one has bothered to get back to me.

They said something about giving me a great price because I was letting them use the recycled the material. Well upon delivery, it looked great but after only two days of sitting the "firm padding" has dramatically thinned out. The padding that was 3" Monday is already down to 1-1/2" on Wednesday. Maybe by Friday it would be down to 1" plus base wood. I'm kicking myself for 'trying out' the shop for $100. Talk about throwing good money after bad... One more thing...the place is bought out by a younger guy and it is now called: Automotive Interior Repair or AIR. Fancy name no? The original craftsman has been retired and most of these great ratings must be from the previous owner. When you walk in the shop expect to see a huge pile of "light-me-up" flammable shit just piled high in the middle of the shop, I could only describe it as an industrial waste site. With those old reflective heaters turned-on all over the place keeping the place warm, with this soup of plastic, rubber, foam pile in the middle, it does wonders for your sinuses and lung cancer. Buyer-Be-Aware!!
