I am extremely pleased with All my sons moving company. Everyone was very professional the entire time, starting with Mike in Colorado who started my request and worked with me to the end. He made sure that I had everything I needed. On moving day two great guys Trey and Houston showed up at my door with a smile and worked very quickly and efficiently. They were very polite and provided great customer service. The two man team was amazing. Sean constantly called me to check and verify things. The customer service from the Lynhurst road team is A1. I Highly Recommend All my Sons. My only feedback is to invest in stylus so customers can sign the tablet quickly.

    Unloading job

I hired AMS to unload a small uhaul into a spot in a warehouse. It was literally an unload job and nothing else - General Manager Adam quoted me $179/hr for labor only with a two hour min - Adam said the team would arrive at 9am the day of the move - They showed up 8 hours late because Adam didn't submit the work order - They unloaded the truck in less than an hour charged me over $750, because they say there's a 17% fuel surcharge that applies to everyone (which nobody told me about) and they charge for travel time (which they told me wasn't the case over the phone) - I called everyone from the local branch to people at AMS national and got stonewalled by each one - I looked and found that this is a national chain who uses unfair and deceptive business practices to swindle people systematically - When I told them I'd take legal action for fraud, the welcomed the lawsuit With that being said, I've lodged a complaint with a friend of mine at Morgan & Morgan (national litigation & class action firm), who said if 4 more people call in (it takes 15 mins to tell them) with the same story, they can file a class action suit against them. These people are awful, and I encourage anyone who experienced similar charges that weren't included in the quote, call that firm, alert the attorney general, and let BBB know. I've had it with losers like these exploiting people who are in the middle of something as expensive and stressful as a move.

Friend and I moved September '20. Items were damaged, guys hit the telephone pole across the street, lost time when they hit the pole (police had to be called for a report) and our second load was abandoned after they hit the pole and never returned - we were quoted too small a truck for our move. 2am in the morning I was loading the last load in a uhaul truck alone - all my belongings were in the front yard of the home we sold (buyers moved into the home that afternoon...) Filed claim and have spoke to them numerous times - we keep being pushed under the rug- 10 months now after numerous emails and speaking to multiple people in two departments...

Torn and mud soaked corner of mattress

First members I've ever had to completely destroy something. They're giving me $120 to pay for my king size mattress that cost me over 2,000. It was soaked and covered in mud because they were too lazy to pick it up off the ground when moving it from the storage container to the truck that was parked right next to the container. They also managed to break a game topper leaf. These are quiet expensive. I believe for my entire set I spent something like $2,500 to $3,000. How on Earth they manage to do this when these things were stored in bags and have shoulder straps designs to move them I have no idea. If we were talking nicks and scratches and stuff I wouldn't be posting. we're talking about the fact that they damaged very expensive items simply by virtue of not handling things properly. Is it really so hard to pick up bed up off the ground as a trained mover instead of dragging it? Is it really so hard to not throw items into the truck?

I'm not typically a One Star kinda reviewer but this is necessary. Lots and lots of frustration short, we scheduled a move for May 31st. On May 30th, we contact for a time, they said they would be over at 11 and would call 45 minutes ahead to tell us they were on their way. On May 31st, 11 comes and goes, but NBD, I'm not in a huge hurry. So, we called them a couple hours after 11, because, honestly, I was worried it wasn't going to happen, and we were told "an hour or an hour and a half". 4 o'clock rolls around...they call and...they just aren't coming. They aren't coming and there's nothing to be done and we are just out of luck. Too bad, so sad, they have another more expensive job to attend to. This company just canceled our move day of...the entire reason I wanted to hire movers was specifically because I didn't want friends to cancel their help day of...and then the people who we hired did. Plus, they broke some stuff. I think it, it happens but I posted pictures of the wooden box my grandfather gave me at 8 which has made it through nearly a dozen moves. I'm honestly not even sure how they did it, as they just sat it among other things and let me find it. So, before hiring this company, just know, they might just decide your move isn't worth it and put you in a bad spot.

Had a move set up with them. Initially they were very responsive to get the business and then the nightmare started. The movers damaged the dry wall in three areas and one of the area they dropped the dresser on the drywall and made hole in the dry wall. They asked me to put in a claim in and they have do it in written and then submitted with pictures. They also want me to submit all the paperwork I signed with their company which they already have. You can never get anyone on the phone and if they come on the phone they are rude and condescending. Basically they have hired assholes who act like they are doing us a favor. I got a quote and the repair for the drywall and paint match was 400 $ and they say that they can't honor a quote from others but they have up to 30 days to respond. They also say that people routinely cheat them and so they won't pay if we fix it before they review. They also don't have anyone they can send for repair as they have no one .only choice is to wait for them to go through the claims process and they will come with a estimate that we have to accept. They have yet to full fill the claim and maybe now that I have posted a negative review they may not fill at all. Just be aware that they are not at all easy to deal with .

Scratches on brand new lvp floors

This was unfortunately the worst experience from start to finish. They under-quoted the estimate by $1k and also the truck they ordered did not fit everything so we had to urgently pick up a separate u-haul trailer to get everything else. Floors and furniture were damaged during the move, the team did not re-assemble any of the furniture apart from our son's crib, couches were left in complete disarray, and furniture was kept plastic wrapped and taped. When I reached out afterwards to express my disappointment, not one person reached out to discuss with me. Instead, I received a generic claims request form. I have yet to submit the claims request but I am not optimistic that it will be a smooth process. I truly hate going to these measures but how they're conducting their business is not okay. Hopefully this review saves someone else from making the same expensive mistake that we did.

I cannot recommend them highly enough. We hired My Movers Inc. for an interstate move (about 12 hours away.) After a short phone call, they responded with a rough estimate based on the size of our home the following morning, which was a great response time. They scheduled an in-person walkthrough that week, showed up on time, and had an itemized, specific estimate by the end of it. We were able to schedule the move then and there, and were given guidelines on how to pack our things for the move and what wasn't allowed (e.g. liquids, fragile loose items, etc.) on the truck. Movers showed up right on schedule and cleared our packed belongings and furniture in under 2 hours. Similar story for unloading: they arrived right on time, and got all our stuff off the truck in 2 hours. Even though we didn't have a ton of stuff, I was impressed with how quickly they were able to load and unload. Everyone we interacted with throughout the process was friendly and polite. We ultimately came in slightly under the original estimate, which may not always be the case, but I appreciate when a business estimates high. Pleasant surprises are always better than unpleasant ones. :)

We paid a very large amount for this service and also paid extra for their insurance coverage specifically to protect our valuables. During the packing process, they broke several items worth thousands of dollars. When we filed a claim, instead of taking responsibility or honoring the insurance we paid for, the owner was rude, dismissive, and outright hostile. We were essentially told "too bad, you should've packed it yourself," and "if you didn't want it broken, you shouldn't have hired us." That is completely unacceptable, especially from a business that charges for professional packing and insurance. Not only did they fail to protect our belongings, but they also refused to fairly address the damage and spoke to us in a shockingly unprofessional and offensive way. We trusted them during an already stressful time after a flood, and they made the situation much worse. I strongly warn others: do not use this company if you care about your property or expect basic professionalism and accountability. Paying extra for their insurance meant nothing, and the way we were treated afterward was insulting and outrageous.

However, I kept getting ads for U-Pack and decided to get a quote. TLDR - I am SO happy I went with this service as the process was transparent, simple, and convenient. I had about a studio apartment's worth of furniture in a 5x10 storage unit. The U-Pack team in Indy helped accommodate me and where the cube could be placed at my storage facility. The person who dropped off the cube was communicative, clear, and provided helpful advice for packing. One thing I did not realize I would need is LOTS of bungee cords and ratchet straps to hold things down, so be sure to have plenty on hand before your cube arrives. During the move, I checked the "moving dashboard" (the online portal that includes all the details of your move) religiously. It always had up-to-date information about where my cube was, which helped ease my anxiety about the move progress. My cube was picked up on a Wednesday in Indiana, and arrived the next Friday morning in California, which was right in the middle of my estimated time block (which was 5-7 business days). The movers who dropped it off were equally courteous and helpful, as I was putting my cube on the street. If you are moving to a city/area without a driveway, be sure to get all of the proper legal clearance to park your cube. I applied for a temporary no-parking permit for week to accommodate the cube if it arrived early or late. Some other tips: I cannot overstate how important it is to CALL the U-Pack customer service line for a quote/arrangements, as the online quote tool will shoot way above what your actual price will be. Secondly, the online dashboard and the ability to change details about your move online is very convenient and useful. I changed the drop-off time several times and it was always updated instantaneously. All in all, this service was seamless and helped me as a first time mover, and everyone from on-the-phone customer service reps to ABF Freight movers were exceptionally kind and helpful. I will absolutely use this service again and recommend to all.

I would maybe consider them if I had a lot to more things than what was in my 1bedroom apartment. I had to use 2 relocubes for a one bedroom apartment. These cubes are inexpensive. All you need is to pack it yourself and put locks on them. (2 per cube) you have 2 days to unload. I'm in an apartment complex and had people I hired to unload so if I call same day .. they will pick cubes up next day to get them out of the way.
