Once they moved most pieces to the new house, they stated they had no time to put it together, when I asked for the hardware it was at the old house. when we went to retrieve the hardware from old house, less than half was found strewn about a room and we had to get replacement hardware. I have moved 10 times in my lifetime, which included moving from Ohio to Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania to Indiana. Hiring All My Sons for this move was the biggest mistake I've ever made and we only moved 4 minutes down the road. Our move was a week ago and I am still dealing with this massive headache. We had everything packed and moved to the front room. They weren't moving any appliances, tvs, computers, gaming systems or personal breakable items. My husband, my son and I loaded our three vehicles six times different times to get this nightmare over and done with. We told them not to wrap anything due to the short distance and they wrapped 3 items and charged us over $200. Our final bill was triple the price we were quoted. They didn't move everything and wanted to keep it between us that they would come the next morning and finish the job. They didn't arrive when they said they would and we had to call the office and the manager wasn't aware the job wasn't completed. The truck had so much wasted or dead space, so unsure why everything wasn't moved to begin with. The movers spent a lot of time calling the office complaining about the job. We were told by the movers that they were sending out two more movers but they never showed up. I could go on and one for days. I had a mixed experience with AMS but the end of the day left me feeling very taken care of. Got a call saying that my move was delayed to 4/4:30 after having a window of 12-3. Annoying but fine. I check-in at 3 and make sure it's still on track - it is. 4:30 comes and goes and I don't hear anything...a few more calls from me later and they arrive at 6. Sean, the store manager, personally came to my place to make sure the move was on track and helped move items. He was professional and apologetic, noting that it was a day that when it rains, it pours. We all have those. He gave me a discount and kept his cool in a situation where quite frankly, I couldn't. Moving is stressful and he made an even more stressful situation less so. The movers themselves took a little while but as the last move of the day (ended at 10pm) I understand. All in all, AMS did a great job in a pretty crappy spot and I understand their hiccups throughout the day. I personally am giving 3 stars because of the way the situation was resolved in the end. I hired AMS to unload a small uhaul into a spot in a warehouse. It was literally an unload job and nothing else - General Manager Adam quoted me $179/hr for labor only with a two hour min - Adam said the team would arrive at 9am the day of the move - They showed up 8 hours late because Adam didn't submit the work order - They unloaded the truck in less than an hour charged me over $750, because they say there's a 17% fuel surcharge that applies to everyone (which nobody told me about) and they charge for travel time (which they told me wasn't the case over the phone) - I called everyone from the local branch to people at AMS national and got stonewalled by each one - I looked and found that this is a national chain who uses unfair and deceptive business practices to swindle people systematically - When I told them I'd take legal action for fraud, the welcomed the lawsuit With that being said, I've lodged a complaint with a friend of mine at Morgan & Morgan (national litigation & class action firm), who said if 4 more people call in (it takes 15 mins to tell them) with the same story, they can file a class action suit against them. These people are awful, and I encourage anyone who experienced similar charges that weren't included in the quote, call that firm, alert the attorney general, and let BBB know. First members I've ever had to completely destroy something. They're giving me $120 to pay for my king size mattress that cost me over 2,000. It was soaked and covered in mud because they were too lazy to pick it up off the ground when moving it from the storage container to the truck that was parked right next to the container. They also managed to break a game topper leaf. These are quiet expensive. I believe for my entire set I spent something like $2,500 to $3,000. How on Earth they manage to do this when these things were stored in bags and have shoulder straps designs to move them I have no idea. If we were talking nicks and scratches and stuff I wouldn't be posting. we're talking about the fact that they damaged very expensive items simply by virtue of not handling things properly. I read some of the feedback and was surprised there were some one stars. I had a team of 4, I believe Micheal Tener was the lead. We walked thru the house to ensure they knew what needed to be moved. Everything that could break or be scratched was wrapped. Nothing was carried in a manner that could result in a break. Care was taken not to ding walls as items were moved. Well at this time I feel I have no other recourse but to post Back in February of this year I contracted All My Sons to move me Upon arrival at my new location and the truck was unloaded I needed to go get a second tip to get the remaining items from my house and garage. The agreement was I would pay an hourly fee plus fuel until all my stuff was moved to my new location . At that moment I was told to go get a fucking U-Haul and do it myself. I was sooo disappointed that all I could think of is getting them gone. I paid my bill and even gave each mover $20 tip. After they left I noticed that I had a firearm missing. I immediately called the moving company explaining the situation. They did nothing for me on my behalf. Trying to resolve the issue with them without calling the police. After being told that me being the customer didn't matter and they were not doing anything for me. So filed a police report. Sent the report to them and still it didn't matter. They were totally dismissing any responsibility in themselves. Found the CEO of the company in Texas Robert Peterson and wrote a letter to him with all of the supporting evidence and requested that they provide a solution to this issue that they themselves have created. That if they did not respond in 30 days that I would have no other recourse but to take them to small claims court. Now it's past the 30 day window with not even an apology from the CEO. They are responsible for damaged and or stolen assets but yet refuse to accept responsibility. I hired this business to move a one BR from one apartment to another apartment less than 2 miles apart. Nothing fancy. Nothing excessive. When you pay by the hour I guess it takes 6 hours which gets the added bonus of breaking family heirlooms and leaving sofas and decorative expensive rugs out in the rain. But wait, didn't I agree to pay for moving supplies? Guess that didn't include plastic covering wraps for that or for decorative wall hangings or for my deceased husband furniture that I might have done better having 8th graders moved. Gas cost was close to $350 even though the station is across the street. So I tried to resolve my claim with them repeatedly and even disputed part of the bill through my bank which AMS rejected. I'm not typically a One Star kinda reviewer but this is necessary. Lots and lots of frustration short, we scheduled a move for May 31st. On May 30th, we contact for a time, they said they would be over at 11 and would call 45 minutes ahead to tell us they were on their way. On May 31st, 11 comes and goes, but NBD, I'm not in a huge hurry. So, we called them a couple hours after 11, because, honestly, I was worried it wasn't going to happen, and we were told "an hour or an hour and a half". 4 o'clock rolls around...they call and...they just aren't coming. They aren't coming and there's nothing to be done and we are just out of luck. Too bad, so sad, they have another more expensive job to attend to. This company just canceled our move day of...the entire reason I wanted to hire movers was specifically because I didn't want friends to cancel their help day of...and then the people who we hired did. Plus, they broke some stuff. I think it, it happens but I posted pictures of the wooden box my grandfather gave me at 8 which has made it through nearly a dozen moves. I'm honestly not even sure how they did it, as they just sat it among other things and let me find it. They are currently moving my 2 bedroom apartment and have taken longer than I would've if I had done it myself with another person! They came at 8:45 AM and are still here & it's 4:00 PM. Had a move set up with them. Initially they were very responsive to get the business and then the nightmare started. The movers damaged the dry wall in three areas and one of the area they dropped the dresser on the drywall and made hole in the dry wall. They asked me to put in a claim in and they have do it in written and then submitted with pictures. They also want me to submit all the paperwork I signed with their company which they already have. You can never get anyone on the phone and if they come on the phone they are rude and condescending. Basically they have hired assholes who act like they are doing us a favor. I got a quote and the repair for the drywall and paint match was 400 $ and they say that they can't honor a quote from others but they have up to 30 days to respond. They also say that people routinely cheat them and so they won't pay if we fix it before they review. They also don't have anyone they can send for repair as they have no one .only choice is to wait for them to go through the claims process and they will come with a estimate that we have to accept. This was unfortunately the worst experience from start to finish. They under-quoted the estimate by $1k and also the truck they ordered did not fit everything so we had to urgently pick up a separate u-haul trailer to get everything else. Floors and furniture were damaged during the move, the team did not re-assemble any of the furniture apart from our son's crib, couches were left in complete disarray, and furniture was kept plastic wrapped and taped. When I reached out afterwards to express my disappointment, not one person reached out to discuss with me. Instead, I received a generic claims request form. I have yet to submit the claims request but I am not optimistic that it will be a smooth process. I truly hate going to these measures but how they're conducting their business is not okay. If you were to every move DO NOT USE All my Sons Moving! The are terrible at communicating! They misquote and blame it on there scheduling center! They promise a discount and don't give it. The movers stated would move a couple items upstairs when done with other items. When asked and stated I was told they would move the items, they ran to truck and left. Didn't even let me see that the truck was empty. Called manager Sean who failed to return call or send movers back to complete job! I never received a receipt so no idea what I was charged for. Moved at the end of July '21. On-site estimate for packing and moving was 4 hours and 4 people for packing and 8 people and 8 hours for moving. The actual move took almost 12 hours. The estimator and their paperwork do not indicate that once they go beyond 8 hours in a day the customer is billed time and a half. Our move cost nearly 30% more than we were estimated. In addition, the moving crew slid wardrobe boxes down our stairs and damaged the wall of the home we were moving out of and had already sold. We had to pay a contractor time and half plus materials to come out and repair the wall the next day (a Sunday) because we were turning over possession of the home. The claims process is ridiculously complicated, involving physical paperwork and working with the corporate office not the local franchise. Finally, we provided waters, gatorades and lunch both days and the crew left half empty bottles all over both homes as well as cigarette butts in the landscaping and street at both homes. No one in our home is a smoker. read more

All my sons has done a great job of delaying our once scheduled morning move. When scheduling we were promised a morning move at 8am. We prepared our entire move day around this time and then we received a call a day before informing us our move is now in the 1-3pm time block, great job guys. Now sitting here on the day of the move, writing this review at the time of 3:35pm. We now have learned that our movers have JUST left heading towards us and won't be here for another HOUR. I'm am genuinely in shock and awe that scheduling is apparently an enigma that has yet to figured out in the moving industry. Here it goes. I lost my job last year and like many people, I spent the entire year searching for a new job. When I got hired finally somewhere, it was three hours away, but in the same state, so I decided to hire movers. Let me say, I've moved 13 times as an adult because of my career. I've tried every way possible and this was hands down the worst experience I've had. I called All My Sons because they had solid Google reviews and they were located in our destination city. I gave a lady an entire inventory of our home, including my child's train table, clarified that we had a few large items including a sectional sofa, king sized bed, washer and dryer, and a fridge. I never received my quote via email, so I called about a week out to make sure they were still coming. Here is what I was promised: Three movers, $179 per hour, 6 of those hours were expected for drive time and I estimated 4 hours to load/unload the truck. They would arrive at 10 a.m. to load the old house, but they would call an hour before arriving and let us know they were getting near. Since we didn't use any of their supplies, we expected to pay about $2,000. Moving day comes and we get a call around 8:10 a.m. saying they were on their way and would be there in roughly 3-4 hours. At 10:42 a.m. I receive another call and a voicemail saying they were 3 hours out and would be longer if they hit traffic. 2 1/2 hours just disappeared already- and you're still 3 hours away? . They finally show up at 1:30 p.m. in a moving truck that may have been large enough for a 2 bedroom apartment, not a three bedroom house with a family room, dining room, living room, etc. The guy who seemed to be in charge came barging in the front door, walking from room to room, pointing at things, (like an unsealed Amazon box of bathroom items, for example) saying "that's not secure, we can't take that, that can't go..." Clearly a tactic to get your nerves on edge since they're probably already frazzled because you're moving. (There was one guy on the crew who busted his butt, remembered where things went, and never complained. He needs to find a better place to work.) After lots of little annoyances and comments throughout the day about "how much stuff we have", my husband notices the washer, dryer, and fridge are still sitting in the house.. and the truck is halfway full. He asks two of the movers if they know those appliances are coming and they looked shocked. Fast forward about an hour and I walk down to look at the truck and it's full. To the brim. I looked back at our house and about 1/5 of our belongings were still sitting there. The head guy looks at me and says there's nothing they can do because we are too far away to make a second trip. We'll have to leave our stuff or take it ourselves. As the head guy is talking to my husband I hear him say "I mean, how could we have known?" I gave you an inventory, that's how you should have known. In the blink of an eye, snap! they were gone before we knew it. My husband yells from the other room asking if they'd left, just as he looked out the window to see the truck flying by. So here we are, 6 pm on Saturday driving from one UHaul location to the next, looking for a truck then to another location to find a tow trailer. $400 later we are now loading our own moving truck at 8 o'clock at night and we still have a three hour drive ahead of us. My father was waiting at our new home to let them in. When they arrived, he told them "everything is labeled, garage and outdoor items are in boxes, inside items are in plastic totes." They did the complete opposite. They put all of our outside items like camping gear, inflatable pools and slip n slide, and even our Christmas tree in the living room (along with tons of other stuff marked "garage") All of my sons toys, our kitchen items, and everything labeled "bathrooms" was in the garage. We went to set up the living room around 4 the next morning (still hadn't slept) and Surprise!! 7 of the 13 legs from our sectional sofa and matching chair are missing so the couch is unusable unless it's flat on the ground. I've called the office twice and I've been told twice they'll check the truck... my husband called tonight and a lady told him she would email me a form to sign so they can send me a check for $100 to replace the couch legs. Shocking, I still haven't received that email. And I beg your pardon with the $100, but you owe me much more than that for the UHaul and trailer I had to rent because your company messed up. Fortunately, my family has an attorney on retainer and we are looking forward to going after them. At every turn they were horrible to do business with. Companies that mess with people are truly awful and heartless, especially after everything people have been through in the past year, why make it so much worse? read more

To make a long story short, a box (which was visibly full of electronics/high-value equipment) went "missing" during our move. I specifically instructed the movers to leave that particular box, as it was still open and I preferred to move that box on my own, in my personal vehicle. The box was loaded onto their truck regardless, and it was never brought into the new house. I called multiple times a day for a week following, after being promised multiple times they would call back with news on the "missing" items (they never returned a single call). They made it incredibly difficult to file a claim, and now, over a month later, I received a settlement letter from them for $105 dollars. I paid almost $900 between the move and the deposit, tipped each of the four (I only requested three) movers $20 for their help, and now $1300 of my personal belongings are "missing", and they offer $105 to make up for it. Sure, I can't definitively say what happened to my "missing" property. I'm not saying it was stolen. I'm certainly not saying that box was targeted due to the high value of the contents. I'm definitely not suggesting that they know exactly what they're doing, by stealing high-value, low-weight equipment, given their "60 cents per ounce" settlement policy. Go check out the complaints on the Better Business Bureau's website. I may not be saying they're stealing from their customers, but plenty of other people sure are. read more

Dropped multiple pieces of my furniture. My headboard is all scratched up. One of my dresser drawers has a chunk missing from the edge. I was quoted a 2 hr window for the amount of furniture I provided them with. My balance was double that amount. Spoke to EJ, the so called owner during the moving process about how bad the guys were doing, he said he talk to me about pricing after everything was said and done and would take care of it, but only took $100 off and told me to file a claim. I am a former AMS employee and will warn against using this pos company. I had to deal with 2 handgun thefts, 1 because the police called me and the other because the owner called me and informed me a handgun went missing. Don't expect a sober crew. They roll blunts and drink in the truck. It was owned by a finance company when I was an employee of AMS. They don't care about the customer. I've had a gun pointed at me twice while on the job and was then told to get in the truck and bail out after the customer called the cops on us. I do not have enough time in the day to explain everything that went wrong so here are the highlights: 1. They SMOKED in my climate controlled storage unit, around all of my smoke-free things. 2. They DAMAGED my apartment and did not tell me. When I called in to report it the manager said to tell my landlord. 3. They OVERCHARGED for packing materials and gas. Ex. I was charged for 3 mattress bags when I didn't have any mattresses to be moved. They were supposed to make my move easier, but they just caused me more stress. We had All My Sons move us to storage on May 30, 2023. What a Mistake! Only a couple of the movers were good. The other 3 were LAZY and messed with their phones, laid on the floor to rest and chat with each other. The 6th mover didn't show up until about 3:00 pm. The "Team Lead" was the one who put a wood dresser on its side and Shoved it across our wood floors. Damaging not only the dresser but the wood floor as well. I pointed that out to him and he got mad and sat in the truck for over 1 hour... while still on the clock! Two other movers took out an adjustable base to our bed and absolutely scratched and gouged our flooring in 3 places. They also dragged the base over the wood side rails of our bed scratching a large area on the wood railing. Never bothering to tell me... I just happened to see them in the act. Additionally, when they wrapped the furniture and large mirrors and expensive wall art, they used very sticky tape... and where did they put that?... You guessed it, right on the back side of the art work - on the art work backing. So when I tried to remove the tape... it pretty much destroyed the back of ALL my artwork. In addition to that, they used that same tape to wrap all of our furniture, (wood & leather) so needless to say took the finish off and left sticky residue all over EVERYTHING! I am still finding sticky residue. They also hit a bookcase on the door opening to our storage unit - and broke a piece off the top. I could go on and on...but you get the picture. The most insulting part is after I filed a claim with them, they stated the MOST they could give me was $502.... UNBELIEVEABLE! Doesn't even begin to fix the damage. We hired this company and was promised it would take 2 hrs to move a full bedroom set with boxes. Well the movers showed up 4 hrs late after have worked a 7 hr shift before coming to us. First of all, the company should've had a backup team ready that would've been on time in case it took the first team longer than expected to finish the first job. Second of all, the company sent a 3 person crew, one of them were supposed to go through training on the day in question since it was his first day on the job. They arrived on time for a small move. David and Jamal were pleasant movers. They were fast and efficient. Nothing was broken during the move, but the cost of the move and the moving materials was exorbitant. It was more than what I was quoted. read more

DONT DO IT. If you do book it through mymove because you have the option not to pay them. They scammed me, quoted me 300 then I paid the deposit and then another person called and told me 600 also told me that they actually couldn't do it on the day that I originally scheduled for and that "it would be about the same for a uhaul and that I already paid the deposit". We agreed on an hour tops to get what they can/the heaviest things and they noted it. I literally had everything ready to go by my front door. Ended up taking 4 hours and would have been longer if we hadn't helped them lol. Apparently it was one of the guys first days and instead of calling and asking to send more people to help they told me that was impossible right when they got there?? A lot of the heaviest stuff is still at my old place which was supposed to be the top priority. A 1000 dollar bill. They also charged me the extra 40 minutes it took to go over the charges with their manager before they gave me my furniture. I also apparently had to pay 75 dollars for a roll of tape. I edited this because upon getting unpacked and the plastic off of everything I noticed almost everything that they moved is damaged. Called customer service multiple times because I kept getting hung up on whenever I asked for a supervisor it's like no one actually worked there. Then I get hung up on by the branch manager instead of being transferred to his supervisor. read more

I recently used All My Sons for a move locally. It was a nightmare! From them trying to strong-arm me into rescheduling (I had scheduled a month in advance), to a screaming match, to broken furniture, to charging me triple what they said on the phone.
