Avoid. I would skip this company. They don't stand behind their work. They installed a chimney liner at my home which I thought they had done correctly. It was not until I had another company come out 10 years later that I find out that it was installed incorrectly negating the efficiency of my fireplace insert over that time. When I called to request that come out and install it correctly they replied that it was no longer under warranty. While I did not use their services the past10 years, I did use it but was not informed at any time that the liner was installed incorrectly. And it is a simple fix. read more

I used the company for an issue with my gas fireplace. I feel that the technician, Allan that came wasn't very knowledgeable about troubleshooting. After trying one part that didn't fix the issue, he then proceeded to tell me it could only be one other part that would cost a total of $500. Not sure I said I would think about it. I was able to find the part on Amazon for $120. Once I had it installed by another company I was still having the same problem. After further troubleshooting that tech found that the problem was a switch that was purchased from Home Depot for less then $10. I paid $175 for troubleshooting that wasn't done. I called at least half dozen chimney/wood stove companies to request an estimate for a wood stove replacement and a chimney rebuild with liner. Other companies wanted anywhere from $185 to $600 just to give me an estimate, but All Pro Chimney came out for free and wrote 3 different estimates to accommodate how I might approach the work! The team of 3 arrived on the day around 9:00 am and stayed until after 7:00 pm. I live in a 150-year old house and it took a long time to clean the previously unlined chimney sufficiently before they could install the new stainless steel liner. They set up a plastic floor to ceiling tent around the interior stove to protect my furniture and worked inside of it. When they were finally ready to leave in the evening, they were concerned about rain and got the ladder back out and placed a plastic sheet over the newly mortared chimney to protect it. They came back the next morning and removed the plastic sheet on their own. They worked so hard and were so friendly and REALLY cleaned both interior and exterior work areas. The workmen told me they'd have to more than double the value of my coupon, as I had two main ducts ( what I have is a duct that goes thru the ceiling and then splits two ways! ). All Pro Chimney did a great job on my fireplace. We just bought our first home and were looking to get our fireplace in working order. Kenny was the tech that came by and took care of us. Sadly the fireplace was in poor shape. We had to reline the entire fireplace which included adding a new stainless steel flue and cementing the smoke chamber smooth and then adding a damper to the top of the system. One thing to keep in mind is they have certified techs that come out to diagnose your chimney. Because of that, they are a bit more expensive that other companies. If you want it done cheaper, I would keep searching. But if you are okay paying a bit more for a fully warranty, you have found the right company! Before I purchase any goods or services, I tend to shop around town for the best quote. In this case, I contacted All Pro Chimney to see how much it would cost to replace my fireplace damper that would no longer close all the way. Rather than quoting me on a replacement, the guy I spoke with offered to come take a look to see if he could repair it instead. Immediately I thought (wow, he's actually trying to save me money) and this built a sense of trust. I didn't even bother checking with other companies like I normally do. I ended up having to replace the damper due to severe rusting. After All Pro installed the damper, I noticed a huge change right away - there was no more draft! While the guys were up on the roof, I also asked about a rusted metal box on the roof which was an eyesore. Apparently it's for the furnace and Dennis mentioned that he had an extra chimney surround kit in his vehicle and was able to install it at that time. Ultimately, I made two purchases that day - a damper and chimney surround. I'm just glad that I happened to find All Pro Chimney first. We've been waiting a month for All Pro Chimney to look at our gas fireplace, which isn't working. The appointment was scheduled for today (finally) but they cancelled just now because their technician was not available. There was no other appointment times available and no manager to speak with. All Pro Chimney has cleaned and inspected our fireplace in the past but didn't foresee this issue and apparently isn't even able to stop by to try to address it. The fan for our brand new (less than 10 months old) regency gas fireplace never worked. After calling the guys (Columbia Chimney) who installed it, they were less than helpful to say the least. They had no interest in honoring their service contract and the owner refused to even entertain putting us on their books to even look into it because he was "too busy". So we called around and by luck found All Pro. All Pro - Brennan Harris in particular - went above and beyond. He had to take apart the system to access the fan. He worked directly with the manufacturer to confirm whether or not a fan was included (which it was) and/or possible warranty options/etc. After 2 hours of labor, taking the system apart, Brennan discovered that the original guys (Columbia Chimney) didn't bother to turn the power switch on the fan. Not only did they not test the fan (impossible to test with no power), they told me when I first called to complain that the fan wasn't working, that WE didn't order nor did they even install a fan! Needless to say, All Pro / Brennan will be our go-to for all fireplace maintenance/needs. The fact that All Pro took us on even though they didn't do the original install and cared enough to actually help solve the problem speaks volumes. Brennan is one of those guys that really cares about helping his clients and you can tell that he genuinely enjoys solving problems. I spoke to professionals who, without coming to my home, told me they could not fix the problem and one company stated it would cost at least 10K. I decided to look for a repair person one more time and came across All Pro Chimney on Yelp. I spoke to Dennis on the phone and corresponded with him via email. He even corresponded while he was on vacation. He's truly a dedicated professional. When I called the main office to make an appointment, the lady in the office was also very friendly and personable. The workers that came to my home the first day were an outstanding representation for the company. They called to say they were on their way, were polite and answered any questions I had about the project. I hated to see them leave at the end of the day. The second day I had another crew, What a difference! They were the complete opposite of the first crew. I had misgivings about them when they showed up. They were late and didn't call to say they were on their way. There was no greetings and no cordial conversation. When the workers returned from lunch, one of the workers decided he didn't need to put shoe covers on, even though he wore them in the morning. He then had an attitude when I called him on it. He had an attitude the rest of his work day. When they were finished for the day it looked like a blind person had worked on my fireplace. I was pissed! I called the main office and left a message and sent an email. Dennis returned my call shortly after I left the message. He was angry about the poor representation the workers left with me. He said he would talk to the worker and assured me they would properly finish my job. The next morning, I got a call to schedule me for that day. I'll be honest, I am not entirely convinced chimney relining is necessary. But, we were too afraid to not do it, and wanted to be able to use our new home's fireplace as soon as possible...it was one of the things that sold us on the house! I'm not knowledgeable about this stuff, so this is based on my pretty limited fireplace experience. All that being said, we got 2 quotes and chose All Pro. They were slightly lower priced (but comparable) but what really sold us was that they gave a professional and detailed quote with photos and information of what they would be doing. They were able to get us in at what is probably a busy time of year, so we decided to go for it. They were professional from start to finish, and the chimney liner was in way faster than I thought it would be based on what I imagined it would take. The guys showed up on time and took care with the floors, etc. They do offer third-party financing for the work. I hired All Pro Chimney (based on reviews) to replace B venting pipes for gas my water heater a pipe that is less than 10 feet long . On 7/31/19 I paid the $225 service fee. I was told that the job would take 4 - 6 hours (expect 8 at the most). I was quoted a price of $1,500 based on the labor time. I priced my own supplies based on their quote and the supplies ran less than $125.00. On 8/12/19, Merylene (in the office which sounds like she's at home listening to the tv) informed me that I needed to pay 1/3 up front so that they could order the parts. At her request, I paid the 1/3 amount. I never signed a contract. On 8/20/19, the technicians (Efrain and another gentleman) came out to do the work. They showed up at 10:30am, rang the doorbell at 10:34am. At 11:02 they said they had to go and get materials and I asked them why didn't they have what they needed. They said they would be back. They returned at 12:58pm, walked up to my door at 1:08pm. At 2:54pm they were finished (had cleaned up everything and was in their van pulling off). So basically I got ROBBED for a job that 2 hours, 10 minutes. I was in SHOCK and what had just occurred. I called and spoke to Merylene and I assume Dennis (as Merylene had me on speaker unbeknownst to me). I'm talking to Merylene and some man jumps into the middle of the conversation never announcing who he is. This is poor customer service. Now check this out. These people who are running a business told me, that although it only 2 these technicians 2 hours, 10 minutes to complete the job; I have to pay for the time that they arrive at work, go get the supplies, travel the beltway, while they leave to go get any other supplies and until the time they leave. Whoever heard of such foolishness? I would never tell someone this. So, if you come to work and mess around for 2 - 3 hours, a customer is suppose to pay for that? Really! I would never use All Pro Chimney Company again. The only reason I went with them is because of the reviews, my warranty was running out within a week and my hot water heater was leaking. Never again. Of course you're going to go with your own mind, but I suggest that you better get a full understanding. The gas log equipment did not look in good condition so we had not used the fireplace since we purchased our home 6 years ago. He was very professional and friendly. He did a thorough cleaning and inspection. He found the remote control system for the gas logs no longer worked and showed us how to manually turn the system on and off safely. This company is a ripe off. They sent a technician (Allan) to my home to make repairs to my gas/electric fireplace. I also requested a quote to build a new fireplace. The technician did a visual (troubleshoot) and told me I need parts. He could not tell me what parts at the time, when I would receive them parts or the cost. He verbally said it would cost an additional $550 or more. He also said it would be extra ($325) to have it cleaned. Overall, for the visual look, I owe them $275 for his one hour visual review. He also refuse to provide the quote for a new fireplace. When ask . . . He walked out the door. Rude! I also asked for an invoice to show what I paid for. He stated that I will only get an invoice if I pay him first. Think twice before using this company. Make sure you get everything in writing before they arrive to your home. Our chimney totally collapsed on a very windy day (due to the builder using nails instead of bolts). What a disaster! If you read no more than this....one word...highly unprofessional. We purchased a brand new wood stove insert from a company in PG County. AllPro came out to install this, and all was fine. Until 3rd burn on Saturday night around 11 P.M. when my husband and I smelt a terrible chemical burning smell. The insert started putting off visible smoke and the smell was getting stronger. We had no idea what was going on so we called the fire department. The fire department put out the fire and said, "This is not normal, something was not installed correctly". Sunday morning my husband called AllPro, they said, "well we can come out and take a look on Saturday possibly". Are you kidding me? We had the fire department at our house and you don't want to resolve the issue any sooner? We had a layer of ash from the fire having to be put out & our whole house had to be cleaned because the horrific odor had absorbed into every surface within the home. Once, I told them I was seeking legal advice they decided to come out on Tuesday with the owner of Allpro. When I walked in (I got there a few minutes behind my husband) no introduction took place. So finally I asked, "Which one of you is the owner" the helper pointed reluctantly at the other man and said, "He is". I'm not sure why the owner wouldn't turn around to acknowledge me when asked a question. I didn't want to be rude, so I let them look at and it turns out it WAS THERE FAULT that tape within the chimney sleeve had caught fire. But they told me "it was no big deal and it would have put itself out". I don't know how they can assume that and what about my house? The fact that we couldn't sleep there due to the potent fumes that filled my house? The fact our Sunday was ruined by cleaning our whole house top to bottom to try to get rid of the smell. When I kindly asked if there would be any type of compensation for what all we went through, he said, "no, I could give you a free chimney sweep next year". ARE YOU KIDDING me ??? I will not have these rude people return to my home, what an insult this company is. How about the over $2,000 we paid to have the chimney installed refunded? Then I wouldn't be sitting here writing this review. The company was at fault for improperly installing the chimney sleeve but yet they can't compensate me for it? This is wrong. I talked to other chimney sweeps and installers and they said it was completely unacceptable. Allpro seems to think it's not that serious and they just shrug this kind of problem off. I have had All Pro come out to my house to help with multiple projects and each time my experience has been wonderful and this time was no different. They go above and beyond normal customer service and they make sure that you are completely satisfied. I recently had gas logs installed in my home. I had gone back and forth with Dennis on what size logs I should get and even after I had him order the smaller size, he was more than willing to cancel that order and get the larger size after I changed my mind. After I had the logs installed by a different company (the company I have work on all my gas lines), I realized that the logs that were sent by the manufacturer were the wrong size (the smaller size). I had already been using my gas logs for about a week before I realized the box said the wrong size, so I wasn't sure if they could be returned.
