Roosevelt's crew knows the best ways to pack a POD so as to use every inch of space efficiently. They take great care in moving items from a house into a POD without damage to any property, furniture, or other belongings. We have been amazed every time at how much Roosevelt's team can fit into a 150 square foot POD. If we had packed the POD units ourselves we would have needed at least two more PODs to fit all of our stuff. We definitely saved storage unit money by hiring All Purpose Movers and letting them do our POD loading for us. Its our first cross country move (WA to IL), and honestly stress levels have been high. My wife and I have been anticipating the day we need to put all this stuff (our house), into this tiny POD (Large box 16' long by 8' wide by 8' tall). I appreciated Roosevelt has been communicative prior to the move so we both know what to expect and we are properly prepared for it. On the day of the move, Roosevelt and Dan were there, and were able to pack the POD in a short period of time. Their speed and efficiency was indeed impressive. I hired All Purpose Movers to pack a 16' Pods unit. I was a little late to get things done and my apartment was still a mess, and for some reason I forgot to tell them there were three flights of stairs up to my place. Roosevelt and his team, however, were professional, respectable, took care of their bodies by stretching first and worked at a steady and safe pace that got what would have been an exhausting all day job for me done in about 2.5 hours. Despite me not having everything together, they took care of the job and took a big load off my plate with their work. I really appreciate their professionalism, despite my somewhat frazzled state. Roosevelt and his crew helped move us this past week and we were totally pleased with their service. They were on time, professional, fast, and really put thought into packing our household belongings with care so they would make it in one piece. The Uhaul we reserved fell through and we ended up with a 20' truck instead of a 26' truck. We were so worried it wouldn't all fit, but they did it. Every square inch of that truck was packed. Also, we have a very large commercial freezer that weighs 900lbs that they had no problem figuring out how to load. If you're moving, call these guys. read more

If you're moving and want the job done right call these guys. They are highly professional, courteous and conscientious. They took care of our belongings as if they were their own. The movers were both friendly and knowledgeable as well as hardworking, loading up a 3 bedroom house and moving it to a 2 bedroom apartment on the third floor in just 4 hours, with only a 2 man crew no less. They are the best!! All Purpose Movers was personable, on-time & professional. I received a call the morning of to let me know that they were in route to my location. Upon arrival, they got right to work! All of my furniture was protected with blankets and shrink wrap. They were extremely careful while moving items. Roosevelt is the best mover I have ever hired. We were thrilled with service! They were professional, friendly and speedy. They were able to unload a tightly packed 16' x 8' x 8' POD storage container into our third floor apartment in three hours with 2 movers, and, unlike many other places I got quotes from, they did not charge an extra $100+ for dealing with stairs. Their price was at the lower end of the range, and they were able to accommodate our schedule of 4-7 p.m. on a Friday. Definitely recommend them to anyone! read more

They did a great job and were very timely. They also treated our items with respect and were sure not to damage anything. My only complaint would be that it seems that one of the movers cut his hand (and the plastic containing our mattress) and stained our mattress cover. Luckily we had a mattress cover on the mattress and it didn't stain the mattress itself. A little annoyed at having to buy a new one but oh well. Would definitely recommend regardless! read more

Roosevelt and team did a great job! In just 3 hours, they managed to pack my entire ~600 sqft apartment into a 5x8 pod. Roosevelt's attention to detail & ability to pack my items in a tetris-like configuration meant that I could use 1 instead of 2 pods, and cut my storage costs in half. Today (12/22/17) I used Roosevelt & (An)Drew for the second time in 2 months...because they are fantastic! In Nov. 2017 they packed a 16'er & I was blown away by "how much" they got in. Today was a 7'er & when delivered I immediately new it was too small...But these two packed it beautifully & everything worked out! Communication is excellent too. Fleetwood and Calvin were great for my last minute appointment to move my furniture. They called ahead of my appointment time and let me know exactly where on route they were. From the second they showed up they started working right away making the move 30 minutes under the estimated time.
