All Screens is fabulous! Last May I needed a new screen door, called them, spoke with Rik (who answered my call while he was on vacation) & Rik & Rick were out within a week. Old, cranky screen door gone - brand new screen door in! These two guys could not have been nicer nor more efficient & their work speaks for itself. Fast forward 5-months to a couple of weeks ago & my 120 lb. dog got excited about something outside & ran right into the screen door. The integrity of the screen was compromised a tiny bit & it did come off the rails so I needed help getting it back on. Called All Screens, very busy but out within a week & got it back up for me! We have great views of sunsets, but that also means we have west facing windows with full sun exposure all afternoon making parts of our house very hot on warm sunny days. The first time All Screens came to our house Rik installed solar screens on all our windows and sliders. What a difference! The heat relief was immediate. We have had the solar screens for several years now and they still look and work great. Recently I needed a screen repaired because one of our dogs is huge and he likes to plop down and press against the slider as he naps. If the slider is open the screen takes his weight rather than the glass, so this screen started to pull out at the bottom. I called Rik and we scheduled an appointment to fix it. He arrived and the job was done quickly and expertly. What I appreciate about Rik is that he calls to let me know he is on his way or to explain that he is running late. A common courtesy, but not all businesses do it. He is very customer service oriented and I highly recommend his work. read more

AWESOME!! No other words to describe All Screens (Rik and Rick)!! I called on Tuesday because the screen door on my slider has been broken for over a year and with the recent heat wave we've had, I needed to be able to get a cross-breeze going at night time to cool off my apartment. After reading the reviews here on Yelp, I called Rik. He said he could come out Friday (today), told me the options and cost...done, set, deal. He showed up (10 mintues into the 1 hour window he gave me!! Again, awesome!!) with a smile on his face and truly looked happy to be here! Both of them are so dang friendly, I was shocked because I've had service people come out for different things and they all acted like they'd rather be dead. Rik and Rick were enthusiastic to get my "cool air flow" going, so he measured, went to work making my screen door on-site, as he put it in he explained everything and I have a gorgeous sliding screen door that was done start to finish in about a half hour!! Yeah, I know, how can a screen door be gorgeous....IT IS!! I love All Screens, Rik, and Rick and will be recommending them to everyone I know and making sure they get a shout out on social media to everyone I know (and I have A LOT of family that live and own homes in Sonoma County!) I had this company install 4 window screens in my home ...around $800 for the 4 . I called them a few months later and asked them about moving 2 of them that were the same size to a spot that got more sun..all were the same size...was told he couldn't do that and that they were permanent...so how do I clean the glass then...I call that doing the install...getting paid and that is it.. don't bother us if you have a problem....wouldn't recommend them to anyone... read more

Almost need a 6th star for 2nd to none! Rik and Rick were great. Stopped by their shop with questions about screens for 3 sliders and Rik was very informative and helpful, answering questions and giving us different options and showing example pictures. We hit the right day because 3 hours later, Rick was out with the mobile screen truck and trailer and within a couple hours we had 3 new slider screens that open and close like they are on ice! I watched Rick during some of his assembly and install, asking questions and he was very patient and a pleasure to talk to. Rick and Rick are great! They replied to our initial call the same day and were out on-site to take measurements and give me a quote the next business day. Three days later, I had a new screen door. This same process takes about 6 weeks to get a custom sized screen door from the chain stores. Also, the solar screen they put in the door frame is an amazing product! It reduces the heat from the direct sunlight so that you can leave your door open and not get that terrible glare and keeps your house cooler also! I called Rik for a repair on a trailer door screen. I brought it to his work and it was done immediately. It was done well and for a very fair price. While I was at his work I purchased a screen door for the front of my home. Within a very short time he was at my house installing my new screen door. Rik is awesome, his knowledge and expertise is really 10 stars but yelp doesn't go that high. We initially met him at his shop for repair of two window screens. While there, he told us about the solar window screens he makes and how they reflect the heat but not the light. Given the hot Santa Rosa summers and that we don't have air conditioning this was a great option for us. Rik came out and measured our windows, including the really high ones on the second floor. Today Rik and Ricky came out with the solar screens they made and installed them. They fit perfectly and look beautiful. We couldn't be happier. Fantastic workmanship!!!. read more

We join the ranks who have given very poor reviews for this company...and now we know why. Had a terrible, terrible experience with Rick, owner of this company, and will never use his services again. We asked him to make a screen door for our master bath. He measured it while at the house installing a window screen...so far so good, but that was the last thing he did right. I asked when it would be ready, he replied, "that's a good question." I did get a call from him several days later on a Monday saying he could be out Wednesday to install it. We arranged our day around him. He showed up with the wrong door and began to turn around and head out. I asked if he was going to get the right door and come back...he said, "No, I've got to get to the next customer on the list who's waiting." Huh? Then he said he couldn't come back until next week because he would be celebrating an anniversary. I said unacceptable. He said, okay, I can come next Thursday between 12:00 and 2:00. Thursday comes, no Rick by 2:00. I call, he says at least another hour and a half because he's at a "really substantial job" he can't leave until it's done. Doesn't the money from my "insubstantial job" spend just the same? It's now 3:30, I've blown off a day of must-do errands waiting for this guy. I call again, and he says, "yeah, we had to bring a pressure washer in on this substantial job." I'm now substantially pissed. He says to name the time I want him there tomorrow, and he'll be there. I say YOU tell me when you're going to show, but be sure you do. I tell him I still don't understand why he didn't go get the right door and come right back to my job...his answer? "I'm doing the best I can. I can't leave the next customer waiting." Wow. He says he'll be there for sure at 9:00 a.m. sharp. That was yesterday.....AND HE NEVER SHOWED UP OR CALLED. Really? Not even a call, just blow the customer off? Please DO NOT EVER CONSIDER USING THIS PERSON'S "SERVICES." You will be sorely disappointed and lose several days of your valuable time, something he never considers, wasting your time waiting for him. No follow through, just excuses. I believe in giving high praise to people who do a job right and letting people know when I've been burned....and boy have I been burned with this character. read more

Rik installed solar screens on all our windows several years back. They still look great. We have west facing windows which get hot on warm days, the solar screens have been amazing to cut down the heat in our living room and loft. On hot days the combination of the solar screens and insulated blinds keep our house quite comfortable which is a big difference from before. Rik is always communicative and calls when he is on his way which I think is excellent customer service. read more

They were great! I spoke to the guy and he arrived when he said he would be here. He took out my 2 sliding screen doors and I watched while he re-screened them on the trailer set up with all the materials. He even installed the screen guards that I had purchased at Home Depot for me at no charge. Since I put on the screen guards I probably won't need to re-screen again for some time but if I do I'll definitely call this company again! read more

Rik Withington at All Screens did a fantastic job on customizing screens for our 1924 bungalow in Santa Rosa. Given the age of the house, no two window dimensions were the same. Rik carefully measured and fitted each one to ensure the best fit. His advice to add sun screening to the south side of our house for both privacy and shade is already paying off in our comfort and security. I was referred to Rik by a friend. He's repaired screens (windows and sliders) on my home and for our rental properties. When pet's tore up the screen, he offered a heavier duty screen. When the frames were removed by tenants or lost, he created new ones. I've been to his original and his new location and he always provides great service, explains the options available (gray, black, solar, light blocking, etc...) and his product is flawless and I've never had to return one or repair one. He called and said he would be about 10 minutes later than we had the appointment for. He not only fixed the screen but the door as well. Now it is working better than it was before he came. I'm a little puzzled....I have only been reviewing for Yelp for a couple of months and this is really only my third review. So it is possible I don't understand how it all works or why only one negative review is showing up and I had to search for anything positive which is all hidden...that being said, I have been using All Screens for at least ten years all centered around a dog door for large animals that is located in a sliding screen. Rik first repaired a door that was created almost 40 years ago and he kept it going until it could go no further. Then he actually created a sliding screen door for our needs. Screen door might not be the accurate name for it as he designed it with heavy duty plastic on the top so that year round we could use it and minimize the cold air coming through...Originally I THINK we had a plastic cover and he has fine tuned it until this actual door where it is just the heavy plastic. Because several years ago I had a dog who had an amputation, I needed the door redone so that the dog would not have to stoop at all to go through the door...Rik made it perfectly. Although sadly I do not have the dog anymore, my newest dog is a large malamute and this door is perfect. You cannot find a ready made dog door that is so well made and where the opening is so tall. I have been asked by the owners of other tripawds to send pictures so they can attempt to have the same door made in their out of state areas. He also made it so that he can (whenever necessary) replace the lower swinging plastic part! So when it gets well used and needs replacing, out he comes at almost a moment's notice. Last week I realized one of the wheels had come off the track and that the lock had all of a sudden lost a screw and was hanging loose...I called Rik and he made time to come out the next day. If that isn't perfect service, then I'm not sure what would be. I can recommend him most highly from his follow through to his attention to our needs and this is based on years and years of contact, not just a single incident. read more

Wow is right! I'm shocked at the below reviews. This is the 2nd time in 4 years, I've had the good fortune to have All Screens, fix my screen after someone attempted a break in. I can't say enough good thing about this owner, Rick and his service. I drove the screen directly to his shop, after a phone call appointment, stood there and visited with him while he fixed it. $50 plus tax, a very fair price and I was back out the door, he loaded it back in my car and I was back on the road in less than 1/2 hour. His was and is professional, a very kind and considerate man, consistently, both time's I've used his service for this same screen. The first time, 4 years ago, he built it from scratch, (don't remember the price) as the old one was deteriorated and the one he made has held up beautifully. I'm so pleased with his service and kindness, I'd be back to do business with him in a flash. read more
