Beware. I get massages all the time and the conduct of this male masseuse was not normal. He sexually harassed me. I told him I wanted him to focus on my arms. Instead, he kept pulling down my underwear and squeezing my butt. Just left my one hour massage. My male masseuse pulled my underpants way too far down and poked his finger went into the top of my butt crack. I am a woman. Hi finger went Into the top of the crack. I had to stop him. And I actually did right there stop him but it ruined the vibe. He also kept burping. I let it continue debating my own comfort but now I wish I had stopped him. This all was very inappropriate. I left a low tip. I now wish I had just walked out. But I was so embarassed by how this made me feel, that I didn't want to create a scene. I just wanted to leave. I used to go to the one in the west village and have been going to the one in midtown east on e38th. I went yesterday for a foot massage and got a woman. She didn't seem to know what she was doing at all and kept rubbing the same spot on my foot the entire time instead of actually doing reflexology on my feet. She did not work on my heels or my toes. I was watching another woman who got a man to do her feet and he was doing all of these things and actually doing reflexology. But what I have ended up getting since last spring is a rubdown, no pressure at all, and every time they get down to my butt area, they stay there for like a full hour of the 90 minutes. Booked a 1 hour massage for myself and a friend as a gift. After reading reviews I requested Linda to do my friends massage and for me I requested a female with a lot of experience. My friend was happy with the technique however complained that her masseuse did not listen to her I strictions to avoid certain areas of her body. The atmosphere is slightly above your no frills massage parlor. The rooms smell like washed linen and a calming music plays Iightly in the background. As I went to my stall I saw a couple of rooms slightly opened. In my room there was the usual pillow at the foot of the bed and instead of a towel to cover yourself it was some kind of blanket. I didn't really like this, and as I read in some reviews, it doesn't seem like this is changed after every use, as the blanket wasn't white there's no way to know. Also the same pillow your foot is on is flipped over to lay your head on, and again not sure if this is changed after a single use. The massage itself was frustrating. My masseuse did check in and I told her to focus primarily on areas I had tension but she seemed to enjoy massaging only my back and spent most of the time rubbing it up and down. I had to keep drawing her attention to my neck. She seemed to be in a hurry and massaged me pretty frantically. She barely massaged my legs, she only firmly rubbed it up and down, same with my arms. The next day I woke up feeling pain in areas I dont usually feel pain, and still had tension in the areas I usually do. I dont know what the hypes about but this wasn't a great massage in my experience. read more

It was our next to last day in NYC. We had been walking about 7 miles a day, and our feet were aching. We happened to walk by this adorable little shop, and noticed a sign out front advertising foot massages - abrupt stop! Went in and they were able to accomodate us immediately. Let me tell you - I have never had a foot massage that was so effective and fantastic. He seemed to find every spot that was hurting and was able to release so much of the tightness in my feet. We chose the 30 minutes, but honestly, if they would have let me, I would have stayed all day. It ended with a hot stone rub over my calves and feet. They had a special for $54 you could get 30 minutes of a foot massage and a 30 minute neck/back massage. After being so relaxed from the feet I was like, sign me up! They have small, quiet little rooms in the back for the massage, or you can choose to do it from a chair as well. You never know how tight and tense your neck and shoulders are until someone starts trying to release the knots there. The first time I searched a couple weeks ago, I ended up at a business who basically gave me a tap massage and tried to bribe me for a positive review! Geesh! I searched for another place and saw this nearby, and the reviews looked good so I decided to give it a go. I called and they had availability so I went in 45 minutes later, and there were a few people in the front getting foot massages. From the outside it might look random/touristy but I was led to a room (separated by walls and curtains) and looked clean enough. Nothing super fancy. The massage itself from one of the male therapists was FAB! He really felt which areas needed more attention and definitely knew how to relieve. I almost fell asleep and woke up looking like Chewbacca, now that's when you know you got a good massage! I tipped him more than 20% as he deserved it, as it's only $55 for an hour. Fantastic massage by Michael! Where I'm from, "foot massage " means a fully clothed foot soak, accompanied by massage of the everything from the head to the waist, then the feet and legs. I guess that's not the norm in Manhattan, because that is considered full body massage here. Regardless, it was still a fantastic job at $55 for the hour. The facility is clean and functional, not very noisy. I've had regular massage for years, and Michael was one of the most intuitive I've ever had. (As of 2022) I was suffering from some chronic though not severe back pain. Getting a massage with these guys literally felt like I was getting beaten up - but the result was magical. It was like they took apart my body and put it back together brand new. No pain no gain - the result was well worth it for me.
