From the moment my grandma moved into Oakmont of Carmichael, we knew she was exactly where she needed to be. Lindy, who oversees the facility, is truly exceptional. She is kind, compassionate, accommodating, and genuinely cares about both the residents and their families. During every interaction, she made us feel heard, supported, and valued. Her leadership is reflected in the culture of the entire community. What stood out most to me was the staff in Memory Care. Every single person went above and beyond for my grandma. They were attentive, patient, loving, and treated her with dignity and respect. It never felt like they were simply doing a job--it felt like they truly cared about her as a person. As a family member who spent a great deal of time at the facility, I had the opportunity to get to know many of the caregivers, staff members, residents, and families. The warmth and genuine kindness I witnessed every day was something special. My grandma loved living there. There were always thoughtful activities to bring joy to the residents, from fun events like Mocktail Mondays to musical guests and entertainment throughout the week. The staff work hard to create meaningful moments and a sense of community for everyone who lives there. As my grandma's health declined, the care and compassion shown to her never wavered. Knowing that she spent her final days surrounded by people who genuinely cared about her brings our family an incredible amount of comfort. This was the third place she had lived in during 2025 and we've finally found a place that we all like! I'm super impressed by the professionalism of the entire staff. The Executive Director, Lyndee, is amazing - friendly & energetic and is always available to answer questions, address concerns, hold an family meeting, or just catch up. All of the front desk staff are always smiling and it's cute how they automatically open the front door for you when they see you about to walk in. The staff in Traditions is on top of it... they check in on mom frequently and encourage her to get out of her apartment and participate in activities. When she declines, they'll visit with her a bit in her apartment to make sure she's doing ok. Linda, Gilda and Erick are standouts that my mom really, really likes (that's saying a lot, too!) They've called me a couple times when mom refuses to take her meds (usually she's confused and thinks she's already taken them) or if she's upset and crying. Since I'm so close by, I can pop over there to help her out and keep her company. I'm so glad mom moved to Oakmont Carmichael and it has relieved a lot of our stress to know that she is so-well cared for!

The staff has been awesome! I still have zero complaints. I want to give thanks to the new administrator, Toni Jones for making some positive changes. One of the changes made was the parking situation. I work around the corner, and I see my mom every day on my break. In the past I would drive around trying to find a place to park and it would take up some of the time that I could be spending with my mom. Not anymore! The change that was made is the staff park elsewhere. Now visitors can find parking. Parking is no longer an issue. On 5/24, Toni had arranged a "pink and purple candlelight dinner" for the residents and their family members. It was amazing! The food was so good I had thought it was catered in. The dinner was made from their main kitchen. A lot of smiles that evening. What a thoughtful/meaningful event for the residence and their family. Attached are some pictures.

Unfortunately, my parents spent many painful years living in sad, unsafe & neglectful facilities…read morenearby. After my father's death, I struggled to find a safer home for my mother. Right when it seemed impossible, a few in home support nurses recommended Gramercy Court, saying it is the home to their happiest & best cared for patients. By the grace of god, as soon as I inquired, a room became available for my mother. In disbelief we moved her into a lovely, private room with her own bathroom. She instantly made new friends with both residents & staff. She'd text me all day about the excellent food & would video call me every night smiling, in tears over how much she felt cared for. Admin Toni Jones is warm, present, supportive and professional at every turn, and has truly created a home like environment at Gramercy Court with the highest standard of care. A big thank you to her staff, especially head nurse Joanne, who love & advocate for residents like they are family. Gramercy Court has been a safe haven for my mother & one of the biggest blessings of our lives! My family and I highly recommend.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful to family members and patients. What also sets this facility apart from any other facility is cleanliness. You can go in and it doesn't smell bad. It's also comfortable and bright with wide halls, large rooms with big windows or sliding glass doors. You also receive the best skilled nursing care around in my opinion. The therapy room has floor to ceiling glass windows. They keep patients active with games.

We frantically began trying to find her a spot, but it was hard because of her somewhat unique care needs. When we toured Aegis, we were skeptical. Without exception, the recruiting/admissions staff roll out the red carpet no matter what facility you're considering. They engage with staff during your tour, hype up the longevity of their employees, brag about the extensive amenities provided, answer all of your emails and calls immediately. Unfortunately, as we discovered at Atria (review pending), that treatment can end abruptly once you sign the contract and write that first check. But not at Aegis. Here, that excellent sense of security and care you get during your first tour is something they obviously strive to maintain. And it shows! After a full month at Aegis, all I can say is that I'm more impressed every day with everything, from the grounds to the staff to the food to the activities. Even the admissions coordinator continues to assist us and answer every question we have. The staff is happy, even if you're not touring. Someone comes in to check on my mom no less frequently than once an hour whenever I'm there, usually twice. If it's not the pet therapy, medication management, snack cart, or other scheduled thing, it's someone popping in to ask mom if she'd like to go to dinner or an activity, or simply if she needs anything. It's clear Aegis takes pride in its facility. It's well-maintained and concerns are promptly addressed. If the person who'd normally take care of it is out, someone will be there to try to fill in. The difference is night and day from the last place. For example, at the prior facility, we were only able to arrange transportation successfully about three times. The remaining fifty or so times, they ignored us or gave excuses. At Aegis, I had a last minute request to get mom a ride to the dentist and their response was "Don't worry about it. We'll make it work!" The grounds are well-kept and the facility is clean. Plus there's an adorable fluffy white dog that lives there and lots of times is just cruising around greeting folks. Aegis feels more like a giant shared house than a hospital, like some other places do. Many residents leave their doors open. It feels safe and I feel good knowing my mom is in such capable hands. Finally, they make extraordinary efforts to get to know you and your whole family. Some staff actually take notes about conversations with residents and families in an effort to personalize every single experience. I don't know how, but Aegis seems to have perfected the art of residential care. I cannot thank them enough.

The only reason I can write this review is because I've worked there. There's this one Indian…read moreemployee who has the staff fooled, but she's the reason for the high turn over. Behind the backs of those promoting her, she treats the guests like trash with no brains. Bully other employees into leaving and uses others to watch employees she bullies while she makes up lies against them to make them look bad. I've never had such an experience until it happened to me. Getting bullied at a job you enjoy doesn't feel good at all.

My father spent several months at North Pointe to complete his therapy after being in two other…read morenursing homes that were not the right fit for his needs. What truly set North Pointe apart was their willingness to accept him when no one else would, due to behavioral challenges related to his illness. This facility gave our family hope at a time when we felt like we were running out of options. I vividly remember being at the hospital for the fourth time in just one month after more heartbreaking experiences at other nursing homes. During that stay, the nurse manager connected with North Pointe. She came back and said, "The first thing they told me was, 'Bring him in...let's make him comfortable.'" From that moment on, we felt like we had finally found the right place. They welcomed my dad with open arms, and the cycle of hospital admissions stopped. It was a huge weight lifted. From day one, the staff at North Pointe was exceptional. We were comforted to see the same nurses, CNAs, and therapists each day ...people who knew my father by name and took the time to understand both him and our family. Their consistency and compassion made all the difference. I especially want to thank the CNAs, nurses, and rehab team. They are incredibly experienced with patients living with Alzheimer's, dementia, or recovering from serious illness or injury. One thing that really stood out to us was how diverse the staff was. There were team members from many different cultural backgrounds, and many of them spoke Spanish;including nurses, CNAs, front desk staff, and even members of the cleaning crew. This made a big difference in creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where communication felt more natural and respectful, especially for patients and families who speak Spanish as a first language. The facility does a great job of helping residents stay active and engaged. The backyard area is one of the highlights...patients are able to walk outdoors safely, surrounded by large shade trees and grassy areas. There's even a big birdcage that many of the residents enjoy. Inside, there's also a piano, and music is played. It's comforting to know that patients aren't just confined to their rooms...they have opportunities to socialize and enjoy the outdoors in a secure setting. While the front porch offers a nice place to visit and provides some privacy, it gets hot during the summer. Unfortunately, there's no designated indoor area for families to sit with loved ones privately, which made daily visits uncomfortable at times. The backyard is more of a shared space, and you'll often be surrounded by other residents. That felt a little intrusive in the beginning, but I quickly grew fond of many of the residents over time...they meant no harm, and it became a familiar, even comforting, part of our routine. The rooms are usually shared between three residents. That can be a challenge, but the staff works hard to match roommates based on compatibility. Everything is gated, which is a huge comfort if your loved one has memory issues or a tendency to wander. Safety is clearly a top priority. That said, the facility really needs renovations. The closets, dining room, and especially the bedding are outdated. We noticed torn linens more than once. It's time for ownership to invest in this space. Our seniors deserve not only excellent care...but an environment that reflects their dignity and worth. North Pointe has the heart and the team. With updated rooms, furniture, and better indoor common areas, it could become truly exceptional. Staffing was also stretched at times. While every staff member we interacted with was dedicated and hard-working, it was clear they were doing more than their fair share. They need more support from leadership. The social work team was also understaffed and could improve in communication and follow-up. I'm sharing all of this because I know how difficult it is to choose the right nursing home. We relied on honest reviews when we made our decision... and a lot of places had a lot of fake reviews....and I'm so grateful we chose North Pointe. It's not perfect, but what matters most...the staff are truly outstanding. They cared for my father with patience, skill, and compassion, and they gave our family peace during an incredibly stressful time. Thank you, North Pointe.
