My wife and I caught them right as they were closing up on a Saturday at about 4:30pm. They had nearly sold out and it's obvious why. We made our choices from what hadn't sold and every bit of it was delicious, I can only imagine how good the meats we missed out on are. The pulled pork was tender, the sausage was flavorful, the ribs fell off the bone, and the sauce was tangy with a hint of heat. The sides were killer too (though a bit small). The baked beans especially were delicious. Most of the time I avoid small town restaurants, but this place is worth making a special trip to visit. read more

I'm very picky about bbq and this was fantastic. Came through on a road trip and stopped in for lunch and pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I orders the pulled pork nachos and my brother got the open face pulled pork sandwich and both were amazing. The pork is tender as the sauce is flavorful. Owner was extremely helpful and friendly. We stopped by this restaurant after a great day of fishing in the Walden area, and boy were we happy we did! The meal was fantastic! The brisket had a very flavorful rub on it that could stand alone without sauce (but you could get either mild or spicy sauce on the side or on top of the meat). We also had the ribs that were full of flavor, not dry at all. The owner uses hickory as his wood to smoke the meat. Sides were great as well. We enjoyed chatting with Larry and he went out of his way to make sure we were pleased with the meal. Make sure you stop by if you are in Jackson County, CO. read more

Excellent pulled porked sandwich with mac and cheese. Service was fast and the owner was very welcoming.

Upon entering I was greeted by the owner with a welcoming smile. I immediately realized he had noticed the smile and shocked look on my face. This was for two reasons, the smell and location. While somewhat out of place in Walden, CO the smell was crisp rocky mountain barbecue! I'm not sure if this place sells rocky mountain oysters, but they'd be the only ones I'd eat. Brisket and pork sandwiches were spot on, great flavor, amazing cook. I tend to always put coleslaw on my bbq sandwiches, the combo was amazing! Highly recommend! read more

This place has totally legit BBQ. We got a little of everything, except they were out of chicken, all the meat was good but the ribs were the best! We tried all the sides were really good so you can't go wrong with anything (beans, coleslaw, potato salad, and Mac and cheese). The portions were generous and they gave our 2 year old bottomless Mac n cheese (which she did not take advantage of) but it was delicious. Owners were very friendly, gave us additional taste tests right off the smoker, and overall very welcoming and nice. Wish I would have taken some pics to include here. read more

Really what North Park needed. The spicy bbq sauce and the smokey flavor tasted excellent on the meaty ribs. The chicken was moist with the great smoke flavor as well. Call ahead for carry out or eat in. I had Dickey's BBQ in Laramie recently...does not even come close to "All smoked up". read more

The owner was chatty and glad to see everyone, and he gave us each a sample of brisket. We ordered the plate with one meat - we chose brisket - with slaw and potato salad. He added cornbread.
