Not the most amazing BBQ in my personal opinion, and understandably overpriced (as most other places in WP). The suggested tip showing up on the terminal at order time, was also quite steep given the lack of staff friendliness we interacted with. As a positive, the portions were quite large and we took some food home. Overall a decent place for us to stop for gluten free/celiac needs so it worked out ok but not sure I'd return if I was back in WP...

I would give Smokehouse BBQ 3.75 stars. You order at the counter and seat/bus yourself which I find common with BBBQ restaurants. The decor is on par with similar restaurants. Staff was friendly but you have limited interactions with them. The sides (Mac and cheese, potato salad, and fries) were the highlight in my opinion and were flavorful. Meat was just okay and a little dry for me. The cornbread was also dry and lacking "corn" taste so I didn't bother eating it. Probably would not return in the future.

Southern BBQ in Winter Park, Yes! Popped in for lunch on Monday, early. Glad we did, as place got busy as we were leaving. Had the Colorado Cuban sandwich and a side of Mac & Cheese. That sandwich rocks! See the attached video. Try their house made sauces, delicious. Gonna stop in here again before we leave and try dinner.

Visiting from Indiana and this is hands down THE BEST BBQ I've ever had. Better than TN, AL, GA. The staff are amazing and it's an all around fun vibe. Do yourself a solid and stop here! Or even better have Shawn cater for your group!!

Gave it a try. It was good. Brisket and Potato salad was good and large serving that is enough for at least 2 people. Mac and cheese is creamy and large serving as well. Corn bread biscuits had good flavor. Homemade lemonade was not too tart or sweet. The service was good and the place has a funky vibe ( we didn't like the artwork) and the music is a bit loud. Easy to find and easy to park. Loved the beautiful hanging baskets outside and it also had a nice patio.

"Really good BBQ, especially the brisket and sausage - both had amazing smoke flavor. The mac and cheese, potato salad, and fries were super tasty, too! I wish I'd tried the ribs, but there was a small mix-up with my order. No big deal, though - I was still very happy with everything, including the service. Highly recommend!"

You order first and then they give you a number and you go find a table to sit down. - Smokehouse Sampler 2.3/5 The meats were SO DRY. They have a lot of bbq sauces to try but the meats were so dry.... Ribs 3.1/5 Tasted good but was SO DRY and some parts of the ribs were hard and inedible... Burnt Ends 4.2/5 These were my favorite! They were the most tender and juicy out of all the meats.. too bad they only give two small pieces. Sausages 2.9/5 Basic sausages but also dry??? How can sausages be this dry.. Chicken 1.8/5 These were VERY DRY... and only comes in a few slices? Pulled Pork 1.8/5 Just as dry as the chicken.... - Brisket 2.7/5 Still dry but some pieces were OK.. - Potato Salad 1.6/5 Heavily underseasoned.. n - Baked Beans 5/5 These were so flavorful and delicious! - Coleslaw 1.7/5 Bland and kind of sour? - Mac and Cheese 1.9/5 Under seasoned... bland.. Free parking in lot.

If I could rate it higher I would! Best baked beans I've ever had. Family meal is a great value instead of each getting individual platters. This fed 4 of us and we still had leftovers.

    Brisket, kids meal, BBQ plate

BBQ like Texas-to perfection and the only place I've ate at in Colorado to nail it! I'll eat here every time I'm in Winter Park

Family platter. Brisket, pulled pork, hot links, turkey and chicken thighs.

This place was great. From the food to the friendly staff. We ordered a family platter. The beans were fantastic. They forgot our ribs, when we asked about it they gave us the ribs and also a bunch of cookies and brownies. 10/10 highly recommend.

Sides were really the only quality part of the meal, our tables were dirty, silverware & plates were dirty. The staff was very attentive which was appreciated. Brisket was dry, pulled pork had no flavor, sausage links were dry and tasted like straight black pepper. Definitely not the type of BBQ I'm use to. Sauces were different a good kind of different!

The folks at the Wild Horse Inn used to run Solstice as a kinda pop-up restaurant in Fraser next to the Safeway in the winter when they weren't catering weddings and events during the summers. But then the Fanches who own Devil's Thumb bought the Inn owners out for over $3 mill a while back when they were on their way to buying up the whole county. So what happened to Solstice? Well, for a fraction of that price some sweet hard-workin' folks bought the Wild Horse catering business and . . . wait for it . . . yes . . . Solstice. Now (sweet) Sue and her partner have just started running Solstice as a full-time restaurant and boy does it rock. The place only seats around 25 people, but it'll be worth the wait (once everyone comes to understand that the place is now regularly open all the time this place is going to be jammed!). This new policy just started a couple/three weeks ago so when we came in last night the room was lightly used and we had a chance to visit with Sue, who's about one of the kindest best bartenders/servers/owners ever. We decided to make dinner out of five of their tapas offerings, starting with a super fresh and delicious salad, and followed by their smoked salmon crostini, dates with (spicy!) capicola skewers, ridiculously delicious scallops, and a really savory "burnt ends" dish of pork belly bites and crispy(!) mini-ravioli. Can't believe we had room for dessert, but the flourless chocolate tart with homemade whipped cream and raspberry preserve sauce was something we couldn't resist. (Next time I'm coming for you Mr. Key Lime pie:). All in all, a truly fine dining experience at a reasonable price point. So the bottom line is that this is great news for Grand County: the addition of a wonderful new restaurant serving really excellent food right in the heart of Fraser! 2
