Patience is a virtue.. Our LG fridge went out 3 weeks ago and it was fixed today. We had to call LG, as our fridge is under warranty, and they had connected our repair ticket to All Star Appliance. Our fridge went out on a Saturday, our call to LG was on Monday when they opened, they sent the ticket to All Star Appliance and we were promptly called to set up an appointment to send out a technician that Wednesday. The technician arrived in a 4 hour window that was quoted and he quickly worked to find the problem. A new control board had to be ordered from LG so most of the waiting time in this 3 weeks was because of LG, not All Star. The part came in this week on Wednesday and the same technician was out here Friday morning to fix the problem in less than an hour. Everyone that we have talked to at the office was wonderful, the technician was very polite, communicated well and worked quickly and efficiently. Look, they tell you a tech will call before they come.. know they are calling and answer the phone when they call. Be polite to the people you are talking to and you will be treated with the same respect. I was really nervous going into this repair due to the reviews on All Star but everything went smoothly. Know that you might have to wait some time due to parts etc.. make plans for that. I'm very happy with our experience, thank you for taking care of us when no other repair company in the area would even take a glance at our LG fridge. Appreciate you! read more

Worst experience ever! They came out six times and were unable to fix my dishwasher. After ordering several repair parts and waiting over 3 months I had to get another company to come out. They fixed it on the first visit. The original tech who came out was rude and unprofessional. She refused to even look at the unit the second time she came out until my husband pulled out the unit because she scratched my new hardwood floors on her first visit. The office staff was impossible to get ahold of, unprofessional and rude when I called to complain. I would never recommend them and informed my real estate agent never to get a home warranty that uses this company. read more

The service tech herself was knowledgeable and performed the job well. The process of this place is lacking for working people. Their windows of arrival are 4 hours, which is normal, but they give you 10 minutes to call them back if you miss their call or they reschedule you. That is almost impossible for anyone who works. I called them 14 minutes later instead of 10 and they rescheduled me a week later. Starting at the beginning, we were told the repair would happen in 4 to 14 business days. On the 15th business day, I had to call THEM for an update. They told me they were waiting for a part number. When I asked if anyone had followed up for the part number since the first day it was asked for, 15 business days prior, the person I was speaking with could not verify that any follow up had occurred. read more

The repairman was efficient and accurate in evaluating the problems we were having with our Bosch dishwasher. We had a contract with a home warranty company, who finally sent out the All Star repairman after sending out two others who either were incompetent or a complete novice. After two months of delays for parts and simply not showing up the warranty company sent out the All Star repairman. Hugh difference and fixed all of the problems. Contacted All Star Appliance as they are a service provider for home warranty, they promptly responded and made service call for a washer/dryer combo unit in our condo. While waiting for to resolve coverage questions with warranty company I asked if they could just give us an estimate as we might just complete the needed repair without the warranty coverage. I called and either left a message or was promised they would call my back on 12/10, 12/12, 12/14,12/16 and 12/22. To this day I have not heard back from them! How hard is it to give an estimate for repair after your service tech has already made a service call and looked at the appliance? I would NOT recommend. read more

We have Sears Home Warranty, so the choice of a service is not ours. The dishwasher stopped working, so another service was sent out. They were a disaster. After weeks of trying to reach them for service after the parts were delivered I called Sears, and they contracted All Star. Our good fortune. Chris came out at the. scheduled time and immediately recognized the likely issue, some thing the first company failed to do. Chris' guess was correct. He worked diligently for about an hour installing a new part and checking all aspects of the dishwasher's functioning. He patiently explained what the issue was to me. I greatly appreciated that. He left his card and his phone number should we have further problems. So, his service rated 5 stars, and I will ask for All Star if and when another appliance needs service. read more

If If I could give a zero, I would. We submitted a claim to our home warranty company in Nov. 2021. We needed a fan motor and knob for our Viking cooktop. On Dec 02, 2021 the parts were ordered by All Star Appliance. I called 4 times between December and February to find out the status. I was told I would receive a call back, but I did not. Finally, we received an email indicating the parts were ordered but would take 12-18 weeks to arrive. All Star Appliance called to set up an appointment as they received the parts. The Technicians arrived, started the repair but did not have the correct part. My husband was very frustrated and the tech was not nice at all. A yelling match ensued and the techs left a mess and did not repair anything. The office manager at All Star said she would figure out a resolution when I spoke with her. The next day I received a message from the home warranty company indicating All Star did not want to repair the stove top because we "would not give them access" to the appliance. That could not be further from the truth. We did not choose this company, but please beware. They are difficult to work with and their employees have no problem yelling at homeowners when something doesn't work out. BEWARE! read more

Service I opted: Repair stove / cooktop / oven Update based on reply from ASA: Everything you mentioned including date time is accurate apart from following: 1) Everytime I call and leave message or phone number for call back, I never got callback. 2) Techinican said there isn't issue on 2nd inspection?? Techician himself agreed to a wite connection that came off, causing the issue. Please reach out to technician 3) My home warranty sent another technician from other company and they fixed issue just yesterday and explained root cause. 4) When you took me down for 2nd inspection on Wednesday, for Friday afternoon, even if home warranty said they will get to me, wouldn't a courtesy message saying that scheduled appointment is cancelled for some reason, be a good thing to do? read more

It took another company one visit, which was scheduled 3 days after they were contacted, to fix something that All-Star did not fix over the course of 4 weeks and 3 visits. If I could give this company a zero I would. I have never dealt with such rude people. First, of all they accused me of never calling them back to make an appointment which is a lie as I have phone records. Next, the day of my appointment, I was at home waiting for them to come. I looked at my phone at 11:34 and saw I just missed a call. I called right back at 11:39 to be told that my appointment had been canceled because I didn't answer the phone at 11:23. I was confused as to why they would cancel a standing appointment because I didn't answer the phone. Plus, I called right back after I missed the call. Their employee Jordan told me that "this was the same issue with you the last time". I asked what she was referring to and she said "Choice Home Warranty is not allowed to make appointments for us, and you didn't call us back to set your appointment". The thing is, I did call back. And those are the phone records I have. Second, the manager says that since I didn't answer the phone, they were unwilling to waste gas to come out to my house. And then he keeps aggressively talking about it has been there policy for 5 years. I asked for the policy in writing. And then I proceed to tell him the times I called his office back. He told me he wasn't going to complete the work. That I needed to call my warranty company back to find another company to fix my microwave. I forgot to mention that the rude owner of the company literally hung up in my face. Like, seriously got an attitude because I asked him if I could speak. He hung up the phone. Way to go business owner. Again, all of this is because I stepped away from my phone for 10 minutes. Should it really be a requirement that I answer the phone for a standing appointment, and should my entire appointment really be canceled if I called the company back within 2 minutes of noticing I missed a call. I just had a terrible experience with these guys. I wanted to come leave a review so others might avoid them. I see 16 1 star reviews no surprise. The insurance company sent them out and instead of my dishwasher not working properly, I now have a leak under my kitchen sink. All Star caused the leak and are not willing to fix it. Following up on a horrible technician service call. Yelped these guys earlier warning people of their inept performance. Since our incident with this company I had a real Viking rep service our stovetop rising fan only to learn that everything AllStar technician was telling me was completely inaccurate. So much so that my new technician stated All Star rep clearly had no clue what he was doing when saying he had to enter thru the side to fix the problem. Learned Viking sets an industry standard for the rising / lowering fan system and that they are only serviced thru the front. Again, people and I can not state this any clearer, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Their bio states you can rest assure you're getting only certified care. I learned firsthand just how untrue this is. We were referred to this company from a home warranty. We had a dishwasher that was leaking. We submitted the request on 2/8 and were pleased to get a call and able to schedule on 2/11. The technician came in and had a difficult time finding the issue. So he ordered a bunch of various parts hoping one would work. He told us the parts would be in within 10-14 days. Early March I started to get anxious. I wanted a working dishwasher! I called and was put on hold for about 10 minutes, hung up and called again. Someone answered and helped me. Hopefully 3/9 they said the parts would be in. So on 3/9 I call to see the status. All but one part were there and they weren't sure where the last one was. 3/12 we had a new technician come out to the house. He installed the various parts but told us the initial technician diagnosed it wrong and we still had a leaking dishwasher. Mike shared that Kyle is no longer working at the company and had it wrong. He said he would have the office contact the warranty company because we need a new door and drum. They would get back to me Monday to inform me if it was covered. I gave them some time and Tuesday morning called and left a message. No response. Called at 1:10 and someone answered then told me they were at lunch and will call back. At this point, I just don't feel that will call back. I called the warranty company... all star never even called them to inform them of either visit and did NOT call yet to get information for the next repairs. It's been 5 weeks from the initial visit and I still have the same issue and no information from the company. If you use this company, make sure you stay on top of them in order to get the job done. I have a wonky dishwasher ( hello to computerization) but Will finally fixed it. My dogs are happy. I am happy. My husband is happy. I just got off the phone with a technician from All Star Appliance Repair. I had sent in a message to four different repair companies for estimates on a repair to my 2005 GE Washer. I received a call from All Star Appliance Repair within thirty minutes. The technician inquired about what was going on and I explained what trouble shooting techniques I had already performed. The technician spent over thirty minutes on the phone with me and was able to walk me through a couple more trouble shooting probabilities. They were able to fix my washing machine over the phone, saving me who knows how much money and time off work! That kind of service is practically unheard of anymore and I cannot be more thrilled and pleased with our interaction. Thank you All Star Appliance Repair! Unfortunately, my warranty company paired me with All-Star Appliance in October of 2020 (SIX MONTHS AGO) and my appliance is still not fixed. The technician arrived at my house without any information on what he was fixing or whether the needed parts were ordered from the previous call he'd worked on (same technician, no memory of already having been to my house). Renee, their office manager, apologizes profusely whenever you call her, claiming they are under-staffed, that their manager is at lunch (EVERY TIME YOU CALL), and that someone will call back to schedule a visit. You go weeks without hearing from them, then their owner suddenly feels like helping out the admin side of things and randomly calls to schedule an appt. Yay!! You think you've finally closed this loop...only to have the SAME technician arrive AGAIN without parts to repair the appliance or a clue as to what's going on. I've gone back to my warranty and specifically requested NOT to use this company. Such a waste of time and stress. read more

Without having to write the whole story (because the issues went unresolved for over a week) will just say worst experience from top to bottom. The customer service, the manager and the technician were all awful. And at the end of the day nothing was fixed. Finally spoke to a senior technician who sounded like he knew what he was talking about but by then it was too late. Meanwhile, called another local company, they were at my house about 3 hours later with dryer vent issue resolved and he only charged me $60 because turns out back up lint was from screen at end of duct on roof (which isn't supposed to be there) so he didn't charge full cost to clean (which all star definitely would have done). read more

Charlie helped fix our dishwasher, but saw I had some issues with my oven, and went the extra mile to help me solve that problem too. It was very thoughtful of him and above and beyond. We were given a labor quote to repair our LG refrigerator of $425 based on estimated repair time of 3 hours (parts were under warranty but labor was not). I was frustrated with the labor cost but based on estimate of 3 hours for repairs felt it was probably appropriate. Except the repairs actually only took 1 hour and they would not adjust the repair costs. $450 per hour is highway robbery! Buyer beware... read more

(TERRIBLE) A service call was done 5/31/18. They were told the refrigerator was leaking drops of water from the inside top below the freezer. i had asked the new tenant to defrost it and told them how to do it. The tenant had told me the dishwasher was leaking toward the end of the cycle. This info was passed on to All Star. They showed up and told the tenant to defrost the fridge and they simply said the seal in the dishwasher was bad. Neither was true. The tenant googled what should have been done and called me and said they were ripping me off. I just bought them new appliances. All Star called and wanted a charge card over the phone. I asked for a receipt, they said we need the payment now. They didn't get it, but I refused until I received a receipt. I installed the new dishwasher myself, the tenants informed me the new one was leaking. I went back and found out I should have changed out the drain hose, of course I assumed the old one had a bad seal. Nope, a mouse apparently had chewed through the old discharge hose was all it was. When I loaded the refridgerator in my truck I found the condensing coil was caked with pet hair. I cleaned it and it has been working in my garage still to this day 11/25/18. Six months later, the owner had called me in early June and asked me again for payment and I drove there and showed her pictures of the clogged condenser which all there tech had to do was pull it out and look and would have realized that was the problem, and had the tech ran the dishwasher they would have realized it wasn't the seal but rather a mouse hole in the discharge hose. She had a tech in there with her as I asked her what her tech did to earn $115. I am certified in HVAC and the first thing we do is check for proper air flow. The tech left, I'm sure he realized I knew what I was talking about. She then at the conclusion said "So you are not paying because you bought new appliances?" Was she even listening? If this wasn't enough, a man called claiming to be the owner, and I informed him about the situation and told him I am HVAC certified. He then responded with, "So you read a book and took a test, huh?" I'm retired and have done it for more than 25 years. I was severely disappointed to have been treated like an ignorant individual with little HVAC knowledge, and to have been nearly scammed into paying for service that wasn't needed, as well as having to buy all new appliances. I finally received the bill with two diagnostic fees, which were both incorrect. They would be receiving ZERO stars from me. read more

I had a problem with my electric dryer. Matt came out and found the problem and fixed it in less than 15 minutes. He gave me some instruction and tips about the machine, which I promptly followed. Shortly after he left I ran a load of laundry and the dryer worked perfectly. Everything, including heavy jeans and sweat pants were completely dry before the cycle even finished. Left 2 messages and no calls back. Had to use this company because is LG certified but was a terrible experience, would give zero stars if possible.
