Dave was at our door half an hour later and by 10:00 he had diagnosed the problem, replaced the inlet valve (which he had on the truck) and was on his way to his next appointment. Pretty impressive. I am giving them a 5 star. Would give them 6 if it was available. The technician was very knowledgable about the repair needed to the freezer, and suggested to add freon but informed us it was only a temporary fix for a few months to 2 years. However, a few days later the freezer did not freeze enough again. We contacted them and the technician came out for free and refunded the expense of filling the freon minus service call. I did not even have to ask for a refund. He immediately just did it. I will call them with all my appliance repair needs as they stand behind their work and make repair decisions easy that way. read more

Fridge was leaking water due to a mouse bite in the ice-maker water line. Called EAR and described the problem in detail. The color of the culprit hose. Where on the hose the leak was coming from. How to turn on the ice-maker to replicate the problem. The guy came the very next day. 3 1/2 hours late. He had me sign a form that allowed him to service my appliance. After needing me to reiterate the location of the problem, he then voiced his need to make a hardware store run. He quoted that he would waive the service charge of $65, the cost of materials and any taxes on the service cost itself which he said would be $189 as he pointed to the price in a small manual he held in his hand. He then presented yet another form for me to sign which confirmed that I agreed to the pricing before he left for his supplies. I said - $190 for a hose change?? And no one spoke anything about a $65 service charge. He began to argue with me that I couldn't really have expected a free service call to identify the problem. He let me understand that if I decided not to go through with it, that $65 would be owed and he would be on his way. I told him 1/ We identified the problem to you when we called. 2/ Without prior knowledge and agreement to the service call charge, you can't spring that on us. He said fine - I put everything back the way it was and leave - no cost. I just shook my head at the nerve of these people. I'll fix it myself. read more

I called Everyday a few days ago and didn't receive a call back. Maybe our problem wasn't big enough to justify a visit (vibrating fridge), but we would at least expect a call back. I'm glad others had good experiences, but I can't recommend them based on ours. read more

It's true! After reading on here that they will not tell you what part is wrong after coming out to give, I called and confirmed this is true. The lady said they don't reveal exact issue because then customers may go out and fix the part themselves. This may be true, but on the other hand they ought to consider how suspect it seems to not be told what in particular is wrong with the machine. I would suspect anyone who doesn't have money to throw around should be told what in particular is wrong with the machine. Who goes to an auto mechanic and is told the (unknown) part is going to cost $500 and is willing to allow mechanic to service their vehicle without telling them what is wrong? I mean really??? You may find out the part and can also find out from other servicemen how much they charge. I suspect these people service only those who have an ATM in their living rooms. read more

I called in yesterday to get the washer at my sisters salon fixed and they came out the next day (today) so thats awesome compared to sears that said they couldnt be there til saturday. On another note, they had two (good looking but you didnt hear that from me) men come out. =O Everyday applicanes...theyll fix your washer and look good doing it too. I had them come out to take a look at my washer... it was old... and I was braced for the worst. They told me they couldn't get out till the next day which was fine. I made my appointment. That same day the repair guy (im terrible with names) called me and said he was in the area and if I had time he could pop over and take a look at my issue. He came over and looked it over. The actuator had detached. I have six kids... I can't have that. He told me honestly that the washer wasn't worth repairing. It was old, and I would be better off taking the money I would spend on repairs and get a more efficient unit. To top it off, he didn't charge me. Wow. I was surprised. These guys were great. And bonus! They weren't afraid of my dog. Which is nice. I have a very fluffy and sweet Husky who loves everyone. But shes excitable. That matters to me. You guys rock. My washing machine was acting up, so I called Everyday Appliance and they had someone out here that afternoon. I always appreciate companies that keep me posted on when they will arrive, and the repairman certainly did that. My Whirlpool washing machine was leaking from the bottom. It was only two years old but the standard one year warranty had run out. So, I called Everyday Appliance. They said it's $7.95 charge to come out (if you're in the metro which I am). They gave me a 3 hour window of when they'd be there (same day) and called within the first hour of the window. Guy gets there and wants to run the washer just to make sure it's not the drain. Well, it WAS the drain. The washer was fine. He even recommended ways to clean the drain myself before calling a plumber. Then, since he was already in the area, he waived the $7.95 fee! Normally I am very hesitant in writing a review. However It is easy here. Everyday Appliance Repair is one of the most honest and professional companies of it's kind. All we knew was that our refrigerator was making noises it was not supposed to be making. When we explained what was going on they walked us through the problem on the phone and stated not to have any service call because our issue was not serious and by simply unplugging it for twelve hours would resolve it. It worked!! They could have sent a rep and charged us but instead gave us the solution over the phone at no charge. We will never go anywhere else for our appliance repair. read more

Had a very good experience with Everyday Appliance Repair service for a faulty refrigerator start relay. I called at 8:30 AM and Dave was at my home before 1:00. He quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced the part, and had everything back in place within 20 minutes. The service was prompt, professional, and courteous. I had the problem diagnosed before they even came to my house regarding my LG front loading washer. I knew it was the bearing going out and told them that the day I called for an appointment that was the issue. The guy shows up at my house and in less than 3 minutes confirms yes it's definitely the bearing and needs a kit. I said yes I already knew that when I called and I told the person making the appointment that as well as the machine model. Then he told me he would charge $600-$800 to fix it within 5 minutes of his arrival. My jaw dropped and I said no way I am not fixing it. The problem is they charge a $75 service charge just for showing up and apply it to the bill if you do the repair or not. That is fine no problem I get that as I was definitely planning on them fixing it. However, I told them when I called exactly what was wrong with the machine and I let them know what model my machine was. Had they let me know typically they charge up to $800 for this type of repair I would have never made the appointment. What a scam this is and what a horrible way to do business. I have no problem with the service call fee if the problem needed looked into to be figure out. However, I told them exactly what was wrong with the machine and model of washer when I made the appointment and there was no mention that it could be up to $800 around the cost of a new machine. The lovely day my lg washer decided to crap out on me I called these guys up and they were able to come out the next day to look at it. Let me tell you NO other place will charge you so little to come look at your appliance. When I heard her say $7.95 I had to repeat it back to her to make sure I was hearing right. The repair guy was very honest with my husband. Right away he could see the rear bearing was broke and it would cost more to fix it than to buy a new washer. He suggested we call LG, he said he's seen it happen a lot and they might cover the parts even though it was an old model. (Called lg and they would have covered it if I had my proof of purchase, so make sure you keep it!) We asked what the problem was and he said he could not tell us because he would lose business if he told us what part it was. I am very angry he did not tell us what part it was. Great, fast, reasonably priced service! Oven went out and we scheduled an appointment for the next day, but asked to be moved up if there was an opening. Repairman called later in the afternoon and said he was in the area if we were available. Diagnosed the issue in a couple of minutes (which matched what I already knew was the problem), had a replacement part on his truck. Was in/out in a half an hour. Great service, great price. On a Wednesday my fridge decided to be a warmer not a cooler. I emailed Everyday that evening and called them Thursday morning during some really nasty weather. The nice lady said they were not scheduling new appointments due to the ice but would put me in the queue. By 1 pm Thursday, Dave from Everyday was at my house and determined my compressor was dying. He said it would likely be Saturday before he received and could install the compressor. Friday he called me at noon and had the compressor. We could not be there but he replaced it Saturday as scheduled and all is well. I highly recommend these guys! read more

They do not have same day service. I called a Saturday morning and left a message. Did not get a returned call and had to call back later that morning. First service available was Tuesday. Technician was very friendly and professional, but told us the issue was not with the dryer but an electrical issue. Power was not getting to the dryer. Paid an electrician who determined there was no electrical issue. There was power all the way to the back of the machine so the issue was definitely with the dryer. Called back the same day (Tuesday) and was told the next service slot was Friday. I chose them because of the reviews on yelp but certainly didn't have the same experience. read more

I called everyday appliance to fix a stove at one of my tenant's houses. They set an appointment between 9-12. My tenant took off work so she could meet them there. About 12:15 the tenant called, while I was on vacation and they had neither called nor showed up. I called them and they had completely forgot about the appointment. She said they would send someone out within a couple hours and call me back to let me know it was done. I received no call back and then didn't go out until the following day. On Monday when the called for payment, supposedly the guy said he was giving me 10% off. I guess $16 is appropriate for wasting my tenants entire day and making me deal with a furious tenant while I was on vacation. I would never do business with this company again. read more
