This is a long overdue review. After a pretty terrible experience at another speech therapy…read morefacility, we were grateful to check this one out. There was a waitlist, but after a couple months, we received a call that there was space available. Most of the popular times were taken, but we eventually found a schedule that worked for us. I know that there are mixed reviews about the front reception area, but from our experience, Cindy is exceptionally great at what she does. She may come off as strict, or maybe not as friendly at first, but she is the one that holds the fort down. For what she does, she needs to be that gatekeeper. She makes sure that the paperwork is there, the insurance is applicable, the schedules for all the therapists are set, the common area stays clean, there is just so much that she does that people don't realize. She is truly great, and I stand by my comment that she is a huge asset to that team. My son was in speech therapy since he was two years old. At that point, he only said one word. We started virtual therapy because of Covid, and eventually moved into a on prem therapy. When his therapist left the facility, we were heartbroken and had anxiety about what we would do. At that point he was also doing speech therapy through the public school system, but we felt like he still needed that one on one practice. His first session at Little Sprouts was with Amanda. She has a ton of energy, and unlike his other therapist, which was mostly play based, Amanda got down to business. She incorporated rewards along the way, and little incentives, but most of it was hard work. I believe we were there for about a year and a half before my son was clear to graduate. I give a lot of credit to the hard work that Amanda put in with him, the work we did at home that she recommended, and the group sessions that he had through public school. It truly takes a village. It's always difficult to see your child struggle with something that you feel might be out of your hands. It's amazing how quickly they can catch up with a lot of perseverance and focus. This facility is amazing, Amanda is an excellent therapist, and I couldn't be more thankful and grateful for them! Our son has so much to say every day, and sometimes I forget how far we've come that I have to take a step back and take it all in. Thank you so much, Little Sprouts. Thank you, Amanda. Thank you, Shari! We are beyond grateful for your team and their dedication to these littles!

Who does that to a child? Especially one with special needs? Don't work with children if you can't be bothered with them. My daughters first session the OT couldn't work with her or help her regulate while she had some behaviors and difficulties adjusting to the new environment (daughter is on the spectrum) as it takes her time to warm up and adjust to new people and environments. OT was very passively natured and I could immediately feel that she was not cut out to work with kids who had any issues with adjusting or needing help to emotionally regulate, which surprised me being that it's an OT clinic. It felt as if they didn't want us to return back after one session being a little bit challenging. We switched to another clinic and have had an amazing experience and OTs that help regulate and help with strategies and solutions and understand our kids need time and patience and help to regulate often times! We felt unwelcome and like they were judgmental seeing a child struggle to emotionally regulate and didn't feel cared for or like they wanted to be helpful. Super disappointing and wish we would've skipped this clinic all together.

I was embarrassed to be ref'd for Cognitive Rehab at the time. But, Jim Davis treated me so kindly and skillfully with a series of weekly sessions in which I improved tremendously. Unfortunately, my car was hit again while I was turning left on a green light in Feb of 2021. Although the neurology office I have been seeing again recommended Cognitive Rehab, once again for my re-activated concussion, it has been made much too difficult and stressful to work with that particular neurology office. Since I don't know where else to go and transfer my case,, it seems that I will not be able to get any of the tremendous help that Jim provided me with the last time. I dearly need it and only wish I could because it was invaluable to my recovery. In the meantime, to anyone else referred for Cognitive Rehab, I'd like to say, don't be embarassed like I was at first. There's nothing to be ashamed of. Jim Davis is a super- specialist at what he does, is compassionate and highly skilled, His accessment and treatment will help you tremendously. And, the homework treatment is actually fun after awhile!

I had tried PT several times in the past, and never got any help from the one-size-fits-all, one part at a time approach. I was reluctant to try this place for that reason, but I am sure glad I did. Jim and his staff's approach is completely different. They look at your functioning as a whole, and work towards retraining your body to work with your mind. The staff is amazing-- kind, considerate and knowledgeable. They really care about their patients health and recovery, and treat everyone with respect and compassion. We are really lucky to have this place in Temecula.

She has recently opened an office in Temecula, and it is a God's send.  I have experience with a few other hand therapists in the Temecula area, and Evans is by far the best. They have been able to accomplish things that other therapists couldn't deliver, increased range of motion without unnecessary pain.  At Evans, they are extremely knowledgeable and professional, yet personable. They cater to what you need but are open to feedback.  There is no "one-size fits all" type of therapy at Evans. Kimberly is a genuine person and pays attention to you, your treatment, and your experience. It is clear by the decor, the staff, and the atmosphere that Kimberly cares about the details of the practice. I admire that they give back to the profession by bringing in interns to learn and study under the certified therapists on staff. Patrick is a diamond in the rough, eager to learn and eager to help.  If you are looking for a Hand/Arm/Shoulder practice that is top-notch and accessible, you found it.

My 5-year-old son's tolerance to new foods and textures developed significantly during the past 7 months he's worked with her in "food school." I had wanted to work with someone familiar with the SOS method taught by the STAR Institute for Sensory Processing Disorder in Colorado, and Amanda was one of the few in the Bay Area with this training. She brings to the table many other OT/feeding treatment methods too, and she continually educates herself on the latest. We have worked with several feeding therapists, and Amanda is one of the best out there. She has a natural, easygoing, playful temperament that made my son feel safe and adventurous in trying out food challenges. Our son has developed flexibility in drinking out of different cups, is able to handle sticky/wet foods much better, and has taken his first bites out of sandwiches--this was huge for us. What I especially appreciated about Amanda is that she had a big-picture plan of where she wanted our son's development to go (with our input), so that the foods/themes proceeded along logically from session to session, which made it conducive for our son to learn and assimilate more effectively and quickly. (It is common for feeding therapists to take an adhoc approach from week to week.) My family is grateful to have found Amanda, and are sure that her new family-clients in Colorado will be extraordinarily lucky to work with her.

When we began this journey, Masyn was using fewer than 10 words and mostly relied on sounds and gestures to communicate. It was a time filled with uncertainty, but from the very first session, Ms. Alyssa formed a meaningful connection with him that laid the foundation for everything that followed. What stood out to us immediately was how quickly Masyn responded to her. Within that first hour, he had already picked up on new concepts--something that spoke volumes about both her approach and her ability to truly reach him. Over the months, especially in the last six, we've seen incredible progress. Masyn now uses over 100 words, possibly more, and expresses himself in ways we once only hoped for. Watching his confidence grow along with his communication skills has been nothing short of amazing. In addition to the incredible care and expertise they provided, we also want to express our deep appreciation for the team's excellent communication and flexibility. With Masyn receiving other services at the same time, scheduling could have easily become a challenge, but they always worked around our availability with such ease and understanding. That level of support made a world of difference for our family.
