I recently went to All Star Pizza in Deerfield Beach and it's not my first time. I love their food so much but since the pandemic started, I expect ALL workers to wear a mask!!! I was so disappointed to see a couple guys in the back doing the cooking and not wearing a mask. I don't want to get anyone in trouble but this is highly irresponsible. If not for this issue, I would have rated 5 stars. I used to frequent this business but I had a bad experience with the owner/manager. I showed up to pick a pie we ordered but he gave me a hard time about the name on the order and when I tried to give him my debit card to pay he told me we charge cash prices and made me feel bad for paying with a card. The truth is the more cash he gets, the more he can cheat on his taxes, and the more the rest of us get to pay to make up for d-bags like this. In my opinion the way I was treated was out of line and I have ordered 100 pizzas since from other pizzerias without the attitude. This place doesn't care about your business and the pizza is mediocre anyways. If you live near this place I recommend Zuccarellis, Sicilian Oven, My Pizza Place, Anthony's, or El Tamarindo. People in the neighborhood can't wait for this place to go out of business so a better owner can take over the space. read more

The pizza is fine, but the owner is a disgusting person. The problem with this place is the service, the owner's obsession with credit cards, and his general proclivity to be a complete jerk. If you don't remind them that you ordered something, they will oftentimes let your food sit around for 30-45 minutes before they actually bring it to you. It's happened to me a number of times. They are always surprised that you are still around waiting for the food you paid for, and they are always confused because they seem to have forgotten that you ever ordered in the first place. When I went here the first time about a year ago, they accepted all credit cards. A few months later, I went in again, and they had a minimum amount you could spend in order to use your card, then, they started getting after me for using my AMEX, then they stopped accepting AMEX, and now, they have imposed a $.25 fee if you want to use your credit card to pay for pizza. Last time I was there, I mentioned how weird it is to try to make it difficult for your customer to pay for food to the owner, and he gave me a meandering, incomprehensible lecture about how some law Obama just passed allows him to charge me to use my card. It wouldn't have bothered me so much if it weren't for the fact that the previous time I'd been there, I'd brought a friend who's fingers can be a bit idle. He started playing with the curtains on the side of the restaurant. He wasn't doing anything untoward. But the owner yelled at him across the restaurant, "get your hands off the goddamn curtains." Needless to say, my friend will not be back, and I have decided that the many poor experiences I have had here have made me decide not to patronize this restaurant ever again. So-so food. Terrible owner. For the sake of the universe, go to the Chinese restaurant next door or Sal's just down the street. read more

WOW is the owner rude. My mom has been ordering from here since we moved here three years ago. She liked it a lot. My husband and I were lukewarm about it because we had gone in once a few months ago and the owner was less than polite. Today my mom decided she will never order from this place again. So we call to order from the menu that we've been using for the past three years. We last used this menu in June and got what we ordered at the price on it. Today we call to order two of the lunch specials that are listed as $4 for two slices and a soda. We order sweet potato fries to round out the $12 minimum. The guy on the phone was nice enough and told us they don't have them anymore and we hear the owner tell him they haven't had them for five years. I say that's funny because we have it on the menu in front of us. He said we must have one from 5 years ago. I said we've only been there three years, but whatever, it's fine. Just give us normal fries instead. He totals it and it comes out to $16 or something ridiculous like that. I say, "But how is that possible if we ordered two $4 specials and a $4 fry?" He said the special is $5.50 (or something like that). I said, "Since when? We ordered this a month ago and it was under $13." He puts the owner on and he says it's my fault for using and old menu and, "If you don't like it, don't order from us." And I won't, a**hole. You just lost a very loyal client in my mother. read more

Been goin to All Star Pizza for year and was treated very rude. I always get the same dish and thought there was less chicken than normal, the owner opened up a mouth to me, if I'm not happy don't come back, he yelled at me and says how he makes me a special dish. I said all of the sudden after all these years I told him I'm paying for your special dish, your not doing me any favors. Very disappointed. We received a welcome to the neighborhood coupon with special free pizza. Placed our order for the free pizza, a second pizza and antipasto. Antipasto and second pizza were delivered but driver said our order did not show the free pizza. I called and they said they would deliver it next time. When I explained we had hungry people tonight and were expecting the other pizza he said it would take another half hour. Needless to say the "free" pizza was never delivered. I ordered online and it said that the order was supposed to come at 4:43, it did not arrive until 5 20. When my husband called to check it, the guy was very rude and said that "it will get there when it gets there". We live only 3 miles away and only ordered 3 items. The pizza wasn't even cut properly and we needed to cut it ourselves. And then when it came, the deliverer begged for a tip. The pizza was not special but not bad. Ordered stromboli and came out burnt, complained to the owner and he said that its not burnt! then went on saying his airconditioner isn't working so the oven is extra hot, then said that if he make another one to replace what he gave me that it'll take 20 min to do, but wen we ordered prior to picking up it only takes 10 min, so how long is it really? I was born and raised in NJ, 20 minutes outside of NYC My first real job was in a pizzeria and it ended up being the reason I majored in Restaurant management in college. I LOVE PIZZA! I'm also a pizza snob. I moved out of NJ 16 years ago and have had the worse time finding a good pizzeria ever since. Every time I walk into All Star, it reminds me of home. The smell is intoxicating. The pizza comes out nice and thin with crispy cheese. Mmmmm, you're lucky if I share! This is definitely my go to carry out pizza place. We ordered lunch from here today, I ordered Penne ala Vodka, what I got was red meat sauce with bacon. When I called and spoke to Gary to say there had been a mistake I got marinara sauce, I was immediately told well that's our vodka sauce, we've been in business 27 years and we know what we're doing! I asked for my money back(mistakenly paid cash) and was told he would not send the driver as it was lunch, he would send him later and I better not touch the food! Ever since I moved across the street and I placed my first order, my boyfriend and I order at least 2-3 times a week. Their pizza is very good! We love their grilled chicken Ceaser salad as well! Wings are great, just everything is delicious! The staff is very friendly. The delivery guy thanks us every time! We are in the industry and know how it is! They do a great job and so glad I found this place! Hard to find good pizza! I'm not too sure if Thony is the owner but he is a sweetheart! I have never tried All Star Pizza, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Price was reasonable, delivery was fast, pizza is great. My only slight complaint is that my Caesar salad was not mixed with the dressing, and there was no cheese in the salad. A Caesar salad is more than just lettuce, croutons and dressing. Thank you so much for providing the best food I've ever had catered. So many times with catered food, it's bland or overly salted. All Star Pizza, delivered the freshest home made dishes of Eggplant Parmigiana ( with ricotta, cause we love it that way), Chicken Francaise, that I am still craving more of. Moist chicken with that perfect lemon zested batter. Add to those dishes, Sausage and Peppers, Meatballs, and Baked Ziti; plus fresh beautiful salad. He had it delivered and set up with coffee urn. The delivery guy was courteous and professional. ALL GUESTS WERE THRILLED WITH THE FOOD. JIMMY.....all I can say is Thank you so much for taking the work and stress out of the celebration. First and last time I'm ordering here. Ordered online for pickup and when I arrived they said they never received it. The staff were rude and made it out to be my fault by assuming I ordered to the wrong place. Showed them the email confirmation and they took 20 minutes to make a pizza. If I wanted to wait I would have came in and placed the order. No apology by the staff. Returned home to find out the order of mozzarella sticks were over cooked with no cheese. I called the restaurant to let them know of my dissatisfaction and was placed on hold a number of times. They did offer for another order however I had to come back and get it. I told them no thank you and that I would be leaving them negative marks on Yelp. The manager was angry and said it was not his fault that their ordering system had an issue and I should not be reviewing negatively because of that. To that I say, sir, this is your business and is crucial that you provide the level of satisfactory service to your customers. If the ticketing system is causing issues it IS your fault. To pass blame on that for your crappy level of service is not professional. I am reviewing based on both service and food service which both are negative. This is what we as consumers are supposed to do, which is to let other diners know of these issues. Not to negatively attack your business but to give forewarning to other diners to make their own decisions. It is also to provide a level of feedback for you as the restaurant owner to look into an improve. I hope you take the time to review what has gone wrong with your business. I've been coming to All Star's for about 12 years and they have always been awesome! For me, if it's not a good homemade sauce being used it's just wasting you money. They have some of the best sauce I've ever had. I usually ask them to leave the pie in the oven a bit longer so it's well done. Their meatball parm. hero is da bomb. Calzone and ziti are really good too. Everyone there has always been nice to me. The only time I've seen the owner go off on someone is when THEY came in with an attitude acting like a d-bag. If someone has an issue and address him with respect, he'll bend over backwards to make it right. Great food and folks. To the haters....move on and stop your whining. read more

I have lived in this neighborhood for 25 years and this was my first time here. I cannot figure out why I've never been here. Anyway, other half was looking for veal marsala and the regular restaurant we go to no longer serves veal as it was not a big seller and that's when I went online and was reminded that All Star was in my neighborhood. Other half ordered the veal but got chicken instead. Waitress thought he said chicken and he didn't want to wait for a new meal so he ate it and thought it was ok. He said chicken was so-so. I ordered the meat stromboli and it was fantastic. Pepperoni and sausage stromboli to be exact with a delicious marina sauce for dipping. I ate half and took the rest home. They only serve canned beverages so if your a person like me who doesn't like sugary or carbonated drinks, you need to get bottled water. I was hoping for fountain iced tea. If I could give any less then one star I would. This place is a joke. The food was absolutely inedible and outright disgusting. We have ordered from them a couple of times for lack of a better option and today was the last time. My husband and I ordered two different kinds of pasta and I mean it was literally unbearable. The only bearable part was their salad .. even that was a sorry excuse. The salad had a few pieces of diced tomatoes and olives that tasted like dirt. The pasta sauces were almost at a wroting point. All the Parmesan cheese in the world could not fix this so called establishments food. The only thing that is semi okay from that entire place is pizza and half of the time it comes out burnt the other half raw and inedible. Do not go here. I took one bite of my dinner and have been throwing up. It is a hazard for your health. Absolutely disgusting. The restaurant owner has no interest in bettering things. We have resided within 2 miles of All Star Pizza for many years and have ordered delivery/pick up only 3 times. THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS THE MOST UNFRIENDLIEST OF ANY PIZZA RESTAURANTS WE HAVE EVER ENOUNTERED. The only 2 reasons we've ordered from them is (1) It was too late to order from somewhere else or (2) We think the place may have improved if we give it another chance. Not one employee has ever said hello, good bye, thank you for your business, have a good night, your momma, NOTHING! The only employee who smiles and speaks to me is the young female who works the counter and tables. I told her on our third visit that the guys have no appreciation for repeat business and all she could do was apologize for them. On two occasions the pizzas were average, but the last one had what looked like STANDING WATER in the center of the pie. It was unappealing to say the least. It was so late after doing renovations to our home and we were so hungry that we ate around it. However, the next day I called and complained and was told there was NO WAY the pizza looked like that and it couldn't have been that bad if we ate most of it and feel free to order from somewhere else next time. My husband and I have been eating at All Star Pizza for the past 10 years. I'm really particular about my pizza being I'm used to NY/NJ pizza. We both think that the pizza is absolutely delicious. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is efficient and always polite. I was very disturbed when I read the post written by Lisette, a very angry customer. We were eating pizza there that very evening. What the post stated was totally untrue. A couple's two children had dumped the container of Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper all over the floor. The children were running all over the restaurant and were very noisy. NOT ONCE did the parents try to quiet their children. The owner (who happens to be a very nice man) asked the parents to please discipline their children. When hearing this request their older son (I'm guessing about 19/20 years old) stood up and began yelling at the owner cursing at him and trying to get him to go outside and have it out. He accused him of being prejudice against Latinos which is certainly not the truth. Several of the employees who have worked there for many years happen to be Latinos. It is truly a pity when a person slanders another person with a multitude of lies and wants to ruin their good name. I think that these parents should realize that it is time to DISCIPLINE their 3 children and teach them how to respect others and learn how to speak to others in a kind and mannerly way. read more
