Just happen to be nearby and saw this spot. I'd heard great things and the reviews here were positive. I was able to order online super easily, and even was able to apply 2 different specials in my one order--unheard of! I ordered 2 flatbreads and a small pizza with a soda. My order was ready in about 15-17 minutes, came out super hot & fresh, & was really tasty all around! This is a carryout or delivery spot diner, so had to go in to pick up my order. The cashier up front was warm and friendly, and she literally cleaned the counters 2 time within the 4 minutes I sat there for my order. The first thing that hits you when you walk is how brightly YELLOW it is!! And then the aroma of lovely pizzas hugs you. The establishment itself was clean and organized, despite it being busy. I had the Thai Chicken flatbread, extra crispy crust. My teenaged, athlete-girls had a choice of either pepperoni pizza or pepperoni flatbread--basically thin crust or regular pizza crust. Both were the perfect size for their dinner AND some for a lunch or snack the next day. Visually the pizza looked similar to a DOMINO'S or LITTLE CAESARS pizza but I don't recall their pizzas tasting as bad. Just like those pizza fast food restaurant chains HUNGRY HOWIE'S was founded in MICHIGAN. They have over 500 locations in 22 states with a good amount of pizzerias in this area. Last summer, I tried this place for the first time. I ordered online their baked pasta for takeout. I arrived a little early and picked up their hard copy takeout menu while I waited. The baked pasta was good, not great. Looking at the takeout menu, I noticed the promotion for some sort of Wacky Wednesday discount on some items. I went on their website on a Wednesday last summer or fall but found no such discount. I called from the website what I thought was their phone number. A guy answered with a thick accent. I asked if they still have their Wednesday discount. He admitted he was clueless. He also admitted he merely was from a call center and not at the restaurant. He tried to put me through to the restaurant but I got disconnected. I found a direct number on the hard copy menu and called. A girl placed me on hold for 5 minutes, then hung up on me. I have not tried to order from them since then. Upon looking closer at the hard copy menu, I think it was dated 2021. Maybe they're using up their outdated menus by putting them on display at the front counter even though the Wednesday promotion inside it is no longer active. I have been ordering from this Hungry Howie's franchise for years. They are so efficient and deliver so fast! The food quality is consistent and always fresh. I mostly order pizza but they also have a variety of salads, subs and calzones. They are located on Hillsboro road and it is usually highly traveled. The strip they are located in has terrible parking and ALWAYS FLOODS horribly in the rain. I usually never order a pick up order after heavy rains. The owner is courteous and really cares about return business and good customer service. I went there one night and saw about 6 cops having their dinner inside the restaurant. It made me like it even more because they could eat anywhere and they come here. Cops are not the most trusting when it comes to who they let prep food that goes into their bodies. Have you ever met an owner of a business, that comes off so personable that you feel like long term friends ?? Mason is the owner of this location and impressed our family with his care around, not only his location, but the franchise itself. My wife offered that she was very impressed also. The food offered at the Deerfield location is so much better than a typical pizza place. It's the fresh baked sub sandwiches which are almost sub and Stromboli in design. We grabbed four different designs and each were made exactly to order. The Buffalo Chicken had our son swearing it was the best ever. All the sandwiches had ample meat and cheeses and the sub sauce should be bottled. Deluxe, Club, and Italian were all slightly different in design and filled everyone's personal want. The sandwiches are quite big and 1/2 is more than sufficient. We ordered the cheesy bread and the included pizza/marinara sauce. It was like a small pizza with garlic and Parmesan Cheese included. We even got a nice sweet brownie for desert. My son summed it up best of all ... "my fingers now smell so good that I am afraid I may eat them while sleeping tonight". I walk in no one says hello have to wait for their personal conversation to finish . Next I pick up my online order ahead pizza that comes with a 20oz soda and the guy tells me I have to pay another dollar . I was confused bc online it says it is included . Then he tried correcting me telling me it's only the can (then why is the 20oz listed online MISLEADING !) and also my sticker on my pizza box says my drink which I had to go get myself instead of it being ready for when I got there . While all of them have better fast food pizza then any of the other chains and a larger selection of crust flavors (+ the ability to combine them), this one is set apart by exceptional customer service. I picked up a few pizzas on my son's birthday last month. The owner was there and included an order of cinnamon sticks at no charge. When I told him how nice that was and that my 9 year old will really appreciate the extra treat on his birthday he added a brownie for the birthday boy as well! I visited Hungry Howie's in Hollywood Florida today. The address is 380 N Park Rd, Hollywood, FL 33021. I was amazed at the friendliness, courtesy and efficiency of the waitress whose name is Jasper. I don't normally eat out, I cook most of my food at home. My sister and her friend invited me to eat with them. I had "alot" of questions and I am the one that people refers to as a "fuzzy diner/eater". Jasper was patient and understanding and showed that she really enjoyed serving people and working to make sure they have an exceptional experience at Hungry Howie's. I had the most amazing experience at a fast food restaurant due to a Mr. Mason I cannot believe the level of customer service this man displayed to everyone he came in contact with but It's real!! Mason is awesome and the reviews are legit! I do not eat chain pizza, ever. I haven't had any of the chains in maybe 5 years and Hungry Howie's was below even Little Caesar's in my mind!
