They take your credit card information online in case they decide to show up but don't give the curtesy of a response or timeline for service. The summer has passed by without any updates. My pool has never had a leaking problem until after they serviced it. I reached out to the owner hoping to resolve the situation, but instead of listening to my concerns, he told me to refill the entire pool "to see if it drains again." I explained that I didn't want to waste money refilling thousands of gallons of water just to watch it leak out, and his response was, "it doesn't cost that much. You live in Barrington, not East Providence," implying that I should just be able to afford the cost. It was condescending, rude, and completely unprofessional. I also explained, as a business owner in the trades myself, that I understand callbacks can be frustrating, but we just needed help resolving the problem. Instead of working with us, he told me he would charge a service fee--despite the fact that the issue only began after they closed the pool. The owner took zero accountability and dismissed everything I said. The lack of customer service, respect, and responsibility is extremely disappointing. While this is just one of many positive experiences, this one stands out a bit above the rest…read more Last season, I overtightened a fitting on one of the connectors between the filter and the pool. Although the "nut" had split, the connection wasn't leaking, so I left it alone. :) As I prepared to open the pool this year, it became apparent that I needed to replace the broken piece. Since it was a PVC connector that was part of the plumbing for all of the return lines, the repair was looking fairly complex. I brought the piece to the shop, where I met with Keller and Bill. Keller was just as concerned as I was about the complexity of rebuilding everything necessary to replace the one broken component. As Bill walked by, he took one look at the part and said, "Oh, that's an easy fix." Keller and Bill headed to the back and returned with a handful of pieces. It's a little complicated to describe, but I got home, followed their advice, and was up and running in no time. Experience matters. What seems like a dilemma to one person is often a problem that someone else has solved many times before. The lesson learned: when in doubt, ask an expert. I'm grateful for Bill's experience and his willingness to share it. Thank you!

Although it seems like a lot of money, I understand the reasons behind collecting a deposit (customers unexpectedly cancelling appointments, technician time to travel and diagnose issues, etc.). I paid the deposit and we confirmed the next available appointment was 3/20/25. On 3/14/25 I got an email (no phone call) telling me "Due to unforeseen circumstances we will not be able to complete your spa service on 3/20/25. Instead, we will be there 3/25/25". I was so frustrated and disappointed they had picked a new date without discussing it with me and that it was 5 days later. I discussed the issue with the service department, they apologized and said that was the earliest date. There was nothing more they could do. On 3/25/25, the day of my appointment, I get a voice message that said they needed to cancel the appointment and reschedule for 3/26/25. Because I have a fenced in yard with dogs I took the day off of work to be here. I'm beyond frustrated with NE Spas. Conveniently they took my money in less than 24hours but they have no problem rescheduling my appointments for 16 days. By the way their policy is no monetary refunds just store credit. So that's not even an option. I feel trapped because they have my money and left me no other option but to accept their dates.
