Their quote was $12.99 and although their policy is cash only for orders under $25, they made a one time exception for me since I didn't have any cash on me. Turnaround time was 3 days (Monday afternoon to Thursday afternoon), but service can likely be expedited if needed. They asked me when I needed my pants back and I told them there was no rush. My hot girl hack is to buy whatever pants fit/on sale, and get the length hemmed, (am petite 5 ft). I just bought high waisted, wide legged jeans and fell in love with the fit, plus it was on sale, like 50% off. But they were out of the petite lengths, so I bought the regular length ones And decided to get my jeans hemmed. They are life changing. For ~$10, you have jeans that are tailored to your height. They don't drag, look unkept, and I don't have to fold the bottom like I'm in a flood. I also requested that they kept the width of thickness of the them. The hem was straight. I brought a couple pairs in at noon one day and they finished by the next day, and picked up the following day. So 2 day turn around. I needed a corduroy shirt hemmed and slimmed and they were very quick with helping me get the measurements I wanted. They asked about the type of hem stitching I wanted and gave me options for other services, like shortening the sleeves, which I didn't need this time. The total for the hem and slimming was $40. I was looking to try a new tailor since the one I typically go to has had some recent negative reviews. All Star Tailors came up on Yelp so I decided to give them a try. I brought a maxi dress to be hemmed. The owner was so nice and greeted me immediately. They have two changing rooms and the fitting platform is in the changing room, so the seamstress came into the room once I had changed. She asked me how high I wanted the dress hemmed and also asked if there were any other parts of the dress that I wanted altered. The owner asked me how quickly I needed the dress. They have a two week turn around, but they can expedite your alterations upon request. I asked for it to be done in 1.5 weeks and the owner was able to make it happen. Payment was made up front. When I went to pick up the dress, it was ready as promised. They did a nice job and I was pleased with the alteration. I will probably use them again the next time I need something tailored since the service and quality of work was great! read more

1. My pink ticket said to return on Saturday at 8 PM and they close at 4 PM on Saturdays. I'm glad I double checked on google. 2. The clasp they inserted on one dress I brought in is off center. 3. The dress I need to wear for event was altered in the bust perfectly, but it is fringed at the bottom (which occurred at their business). When I brought it to their attention, they blamed it on the quality of the product. The solution they offered was taking it home, cutting the excess thread, and spraying it with hairspray. The folks that work there are kind, but I won't be returning. My dress is now ruined at the bottom. read more

I took my gown for my son's wedding to them to have the length taken up. Chose them based on all of their good reviews. I left so upset and in tears yesterday when I picked it up. There's 2 horizontal snags in the front of the chiffon overlay from the pins and some kind of sticky residue along those snags and on other spots that I have no idea what it is. I said something to the lady, she dismissed my concerns and kept telling me that it just needed ironed. Ironing is not going to fix this damage. This dress is brand new still with the tags on it and they damaged it. While I do realize that these snags don't make the dress unwearable, it looks bad. I do not recommend this place at all. Not only did they damage my brand new dress but when I brought up the concerns to them I was just dismissed. They could have cared less that there was a problem and I was upset about it. The lady offered to "iron" my gown but I told her no because I didn't want them doing anything else to it and not knowing what the sticky residue was I didn't think it was wise to put heat on it. read more

Dropped off my Daughter's Girl Scout vest for patches to be added. A week past with no call back. I call and they don't know where the vest is. He (the owner) finally finds the vest and says he'll call back with a quote. Quotes $46. We go to pick the vest up today and some lady there says it's $67. The owner s not there and does not answer the phone. Finally he answers and does not remember the vest or the price he quoted and is going along with $67. What a ridiculous price for 10 patches. Anyway, we asked them to honor the first price or take the patches off. My Mother In Law is happily sewing the patches on. The service use to be really good but I won't be back. read more

I took a blue jean jacket in to have some patches properly sewn on. I had previous taken the jacket to Vo Alterations and the job was horrible. I then took the jacket to Joe in desperation. He asked for my grandson son to be present so that he verify how the jacket fit him this making sure the patches correctly positioned on the jacket. He removed the patches, positioned them and then sewed them on perfectly. I would recommend All Star Tailor for anything that you need to have done. His prices are so reasonable and his work is excellent. I would give more stars if I could. read more

My husband bought a suit set from a Japanese retail store hoping that it would fit perfect on his quite petite body. (He is 5.4 and he weights 115 pounds) But the suit jacket was way far from his expectation. So we decided to come to this tailor for a rescue. Joe was so considerate and listened to my husband needs. He asked him to fix sleeve size significantly and also asked him to tighten the torso area. After 1 week later, we came back to the store, Joe fixed everything. His previously oversized jacket fit him like a glove. We are very impressed and please by his service! We definitely will come back again! My son needed his Deputy Constable uniform repaired when he ripped it. I wasn't sure a normal alterations place could work with the very thick, polyester material. This place specializes in military/law enforcement uniforms. He was very friendly and funny. He was also very quick and reasonable. BEWARE! Apparently this business was sold to a new owner. The old owner was amazing and did work for me on many occasions. The new owners are awful! The new owners did not post a sign or tell customers that the business has new ownership. I recently took expensive decorator fabric to have pillows made by the person that had been sewing for me for years and years, without knowing that she was no longer there. The new owner cannot sew at all. I gave them about $750 worth of decorator fabric and trim to make pillows from. They destroyed my fabric. On the day I picked them up, the fringe was unraveling from FIVE of the pillows. Not only that, but none of the pillows were the size they were supposed to be. All 9 pillows were at least one inch or more off. Although the owner offered to fix them, it was clear from the poor quality that they have no idea what they are doing. I just couldn't trust them to leave the pillows to be fixed. Now I have a mess and have to find a new seamstress to fix the existing pillows or else start over with new ones. The worst part is that I paid these people $350 for this mess (in addition to the fabric they ruined). Very expensive mistake. Don't make the same one by going here. read more
