Their quote was $12.99 and although their policy is cash only for orders under $25, they made a one time exception for me since I didn't have any cash on me. Turnaround time was 3 days (Monday afternoon to Thursday afternoon), but service can likely be expedited if needed. They asked me when I needed my pants back and I told them there was no rush. Some of the employees speak limited English but can still understand a lot of clothes-related words. They will contact someone higher up if they do not fully understand.

But they were out of the petite lengths, so I bought the regular length ones And decided to get my jeans hemmed. They are life changing. For ~$10, you have jeans that are tailored to your height. They don't drag, look unkept, and I don't have to fold the bottom like I'm in a flood. I also requested that they kept the width of thickness of the them. The hem was straight. I brought a couple pairs in at noon one day and they finished by the next day, and picked up the following day. So 2 day turn around. I'm sure it varies based on their customer volume and service required. They were also so sweet and nice. I'm definitely planning on using them in the future.

He spoke very little, wasn't at all friendly, but that wasn't the issue. After he finished pinning my last dress, a customer asked for my opinion on a pair of pants she had altered there. The zipper was noticeably crooked and the one of the sides of the pants looked uneven. I agreed with her concerns, and she asked that the pants be fixed. He insisted they just needed ironing. As I was checking out, I asked him, "How will you be fixing the sleeve to this dress?" His response was, "This is my job, I don't have to tell you how I'm going to fix it." I didn't realize how rude that was in the moment, so I calmly said I just wanted to know if he planned to cut the fabric (which that is what I wanted) because I was concerned it might end up looking bulky if he just shrink the elastic of the sleeve (which is what he mentioned he was going to do). He suddenly began unpinning the sleeves and told me, "You ask too many questions--go do it yourself or take it to someone else." Then he proceeded to unpin the rest of my dresses and said he wouldn't do the alterations for all others either. His passive aggressive behavior was shockingly rude. All I could say was "you are so rude" grabbed my items while he was unpinning them, and proceeded to walk out. The sweet customer who was still there heard it and kindly apologized on his behalf even asked him to apologize to me. I told her she did not need to apologize for him--he should be the one apologizing, he never looked at me and did not say a word, To the sweet lady: I truly hope they fixed those pants for you, because they didn't look right and that was not an ironing issue, I also hope you find a better place next time. And to the front desk man who treated me so disrespectfully: If you're going to have such a poor attitude, the least you could do is lower your prices, improve your customer service, and learn how to handle more complex alterations. The final product was fine. The hip area went from extra roomy to very cozy. Not to the point I cannot wear it, but I was not most impressed. The results may vary from person to person. My second pair of pants needed the seat seam to be expanded. It was a suit pants with extra material causing it to be excessively tight as explained by Kim. This service was $30. I was very pleased with the results on this pants. The suit jacket required slimming of the torso and narrowing of the sleeves. The total for this would have been $125, but I declined it as the suit jacket fit decently enough. Overall, the service was acceptable although it seemed a bit pricey to me.

Before visiting Bet Cleaners, I called to find out the cost of cleaning a ladies suit jacket (I had eight, so I was a little concerned about the cost). I was quoted a price of $5.99 by the man on the other end of the phone. I asked if there was any way he could offer me a discount if I brought in eight jackets and to my delight, he lowered the price to $3.99. When I arrived at the cleaners, I handed my eight jackets to the gentleman I presumed I spoke to on the phone (he confirmed I was correct). He entered my information and the number of items, and I noticed the cost of ladies suit jackets was already $3.99, seems I wasn't really getting a discount at all...in fact, he was apparently going to over charge me at $5.99 if I hadn't asked for a "discount." I pointed out what I noticed and he over talked me and acted as if he didn't really know what I meant. I was annoyed but decided it didn't matter and left the cleaners. Two days later I arrived at the cleaners to pick up my jackets and received some of the worst customer service I have received to date in my life. When my jackets were brought out, I looked over them, as I always do when I pick clothes up from the cleaners. I noticed the lapels on two of the jackets weren't laying properly and when I pointed it out, the same gentleman from two days before came unglued. He yelled at me and told me it was the way the jackets were placed on the hanger, and it was fine because they were clean! So I asked him to hang them on the hangers correctly since they weren't right. He rearranged the jackets on the hangers and the lapels were still not laying properly. I asked if he would be able to press them again so they would lay flat. He told me nothing was wrong, it was the movement of the jackets when they were transported and they would be fine. He yelled and I do mean yelled, and told me if I have a problem with it then don't come back! I was embarrassed and offended for a couple of reasons, not only did I have to pay $42.25, but I was yelled at in public by a stranger for something that was not my fault. And to add insult to injury, I still have to take my two jackets somewhere else in order to have them pressed again to get the lapels to lay correctly. Take your business elsewhere because Bet Cleaners does not care about you, your clothes, or repeat business.
