I tried dealing with another propane service that already had a tank on a property I purchased in N. San Diego County. My call was answered by an automated phone answering system that put me on hold. After a long time on hold, a person in some other state took my call. That person couldn't answer the most basic questions without putting me on hold so they could, "Look that up," or "check with the local provider." Eventually, I had a vague idea of what it might cost to use their services and an appointment for them to fill the tank. The day before my appointment, I was notified they wouldn't be showing up and that they would contact me to make new arrangements. Three weeks later, I still had not heard from them. Meanwhile, I noticed a lot of my neighbors were using All State Propane, so I gave them a call. What a difference. Very personable on the phone. Answered all my questions. Clearly explained their services, costs (which were less than the first place I called) and billing options. I made an appointment for them to install one of their tanks right away. They called the day before the appointment to confirm and again to give us a heads-up 40-minutes before arriving. Ben, the installer, obviously knew what he was doing as he skillfully craned the new tank over structures and plants and under trees to get it into the same spot the old tank had been in, so we didn't have to run any new gas pipes! About 20-minutes after the tank was install and tested by Ben, the All State Propane tank truck showed up to fill up our new tank and we were good-to-go! So far, my whole experience with All State Propane has been exceptional. Everyone has been super nice, knowledgeable and pleasant to work with and... the price is right! I'm a disabled veteran living in Warner springs California. For those of you who don't know, that's far Northeast San Diego county. We folks with disabilities depend on generators out here when the power company shuts down the grid during high winds, and high fire risk situations. Our lives literally depend on reliable electricity in some cases. We were two and a half days into a blackout that began on December 9th and I noticed that my generator's propane tank was running low and there was no way that it would last through the blackout. Without power my CPAP machine would be useless, making it very risky for me to sleep. It was after hours when I called Allstate propane. I had to leave a message, but within a half an hour I received a call back from Ben, a driver / technician, and he assured me that everything was going to be okay. Within an hour he showed up and delivered more propane to carry me through to the end of the blackout. Thank you Ben! You are awesome. I can't express my gratitude and satisfaction enough, and I wanted to share my experience with the public, especially if you are trying to decide which company to go with for your propane needs. My home in East County San Diego has run on Propane since I purchased it in 1988. I won't name the prior provider we used for the prior 10 years or so, but will simply say I got fed up with its terrible service and high prices. I also tired of renting my 500 gallon tank, so I started shopping for a tank to buy. After making a bunch of calls to a bunch of vendors, I found that All State offered the best price for my new tank. What I didn't expect when I bought the tank two years ago was that All State would continue to provide customer service that shines PLUS pricing on propane that made it easy to select All State to fill my tank when required. Now that I own my tank, I can buy propane from anyone. I have yet to find another vendor that will beat All State's price, and the company's service has continued to be top-notch. Thank You Dave! I was so pleased to change my propane service to All State Propane -- Really great customer service with Susan who went out of her way to help me and was so nice. I'm so pleased because my husband and I are on a fixed income and it's very difficult for us to come up with the large amount every time I order propane. All State said they are willing to work with me on a budget plan after the initial payment to get the first delivery. After that I can send in payments that will go towards my next delivery. The other propane company would not work with me. I would recommend this company to anyone living in the Back Country (we live in Campo) as the other propane companies are not very good in my opinion and I've had two others in the past. read more

Allstate Propane has been an amazing company with incredible delivery drivers and customer service reps since we first started using them back in 2014! Their office staff is always so polite and wonderful, it feels like you're talking with family. Today I had the amazing privilege of meeting one of their delivery drivers named Cuco. He was so informative and patient and answered ALL of my many questions! I seriously have never experienced this type of service from a company before. Allstate Propane is truly a top notch company who really cares about their customers, which in this day and age, is practically unheard of. I think my last email will explain the star rating. Not only has Allstate not offered any remedy they are refusing to provide future service. Susan, Let's recap, we had Allstate come out to provide us a quote and verify scope of work for what needed to be done on a used propane tank. We were given a price on a used propane tank and informed installation wouldn't be an issue. Since that date, the price on a used propane tank went up $600 or 40%, the delivery was late with no communication with a window of 10am to 2pm so an entire day was wasted for us, and on top of that we are now being told that installation is a problem. I just receive my first official bill from All State Propane and what a great surprise. I can actually read and understand the bill. They have made it as simple as possible. My previous company's billing was impossible to figure out. I could never tell how much propane I had received nor how much they were charging me. Refreshing to have a nice, simple bill. This is just an added gift as the best gift from All State Propane is the staff. Paula is always there when I call with great professionalism and personality. I just recently moved to Ramona and have never had a home Propane tank before. As a new homeowner, All State called me and said they would check out my system. I found out that there was a leak on my part of the interface. Being a new customer they shared the cost with me on the repair. Also I have had 2 fills. They are always on-time and do an excellent job. Prices seem very good. Also let me know last year at the end of summer that it would be economical to top off as the rates were at there lowest point. I have been pleased with the service at the house as well as talking with them on the phone getting educated. I would recommend them! read more

I recently purchased a 500 gallon propane tank for my generator. Ben performed a site visit and told me the location was acceptable. I plumbed the gas line from the new tank location to my generator. I was invited to pick out my new used tank at the Allstate yard on Newman Way. The following week the tank was delivered, set in place, leveled, filled, leak tested, and I was all set. Been with Allstate Propane for over 3yrs now. Just recently relocated to Shelter Valley. Called and had my service moved. Best prices and customer service in San Diego County by far! I have had several propane companies over the years. The other ones were just plane Horrible - nightmarish. The other companies were rude, expensive and always tried to rip me off when I went to cancel my service to find something better. we are pretty new to all state propane. so far my experience has been a good one. when we first signed up the rate beat all the competitors. they were pleasant and very prompt. its that time again to refill and Holly is very pleasant and willing to work with you and get you the best price she can.so far great company to work with even down to the delivery driver. i remember him being very friendly when we first got our tank filled. I have owned my own tank for 5 years and am thankful that I have a choice of which propane company I can use. I found All State a few years ago and they are almost always offer the lowest price per gallon for propane compared to all of the other companies. On top of that, All states employees are very personal and have excellent customer service. We had an emergency and needed propane right away. A friend recommended All State when I mentioned all of my local companies were not available for a week. All State came out immediately, they were and continue to be extremely courteous and helpful beyond our expectations.
