This my new go-to for propane refills. When I arrived at the Kearny Mesa Rd. location late on a weekday morning, the employee was wrestling with an uncooperative tank for the customer in front of me. It took a while, but I had the time. I was impressed by how diligently the employee attempted to resolve the problem. After several re-connections & changing of pumps, it took changing the tank, but both parties kept up the good spirits. My tank cooperated & was done in about 3 minutes. Didn't get the guy's name who refilled propane for me the other day but he was super helpful in the pouring rain. He filled up 5 cans of propane while I waited in the car, then helped me load them in the back. Been here a number of times for propane and I always get good service and a very good price for propane. read more

One star is generous! I've been coming here for weekly for years. Mike was the friendliest most helpful person and made this place worth the drive from Jamul. This WAS a 5 star propane service center but Unfortunately it is NO LONGER and friendly courteous service is NO LONGER a part of Expo Propane at the Ketner Location. The new guy is one RUDE, GRUMPY, MISERABLE human if not just plain AWEFUL to deal with. Normally It wouldn't matter, I'm just getting propane and it shouldn't matter too much but this new guy has zero people skills and he is just a Certified A** and guaranteed to rain on your disposition. I thought it was a fluke but came here a second time with the new guy and he proved again to be a real piece of work. On another note, I have met the owner before when he came down and he was excellent. So I'm sure he is unaware of the rude demeanor now present at Ketner. I'll pay a few pennies more elsewhere until this changes. read more

Probably one of the nicest human beings I've met. The tank on my van has no gauge so there is no way to know if it is full or empty except to use it and if the connected stove doesn't work then the tank is probably empty... or in my case it's been a long time since I used my stove and I'd forgotten how to use it and therefore assumed the tank was empty. Long story short they realized that my tank was full and spent time helping me figure out how to fix my issue. Since my tank didn't take any propane they didn't charge me. I will definitely be coming back with any actually empty propane tanks I have going forward, be it bbq tanks or the one in my van. read more
