Finally, we found a trustworthy handyman that is so reliable. We have a rental property we were getting ready to renters in a very small window. He estimated about 2 hours of work which was much shorter. He was focused and didn't get distracted like my previous nightmares with handyman experience. The work he did in our place was puddle of water that always gets back into our dishwasher. It started to get really bad odors and awful stink throughout the house. Turns out our previous contractor that installed our new kitchen sink and dishwasher, never bothered to add "air-gap" therefore water will back into the dishwasher. I recently had a section of my fence fall apart, and after searching a week for someone to come (lots of left messages - no responses) - I contacted Chuck at All Systems Home Service. I texted Chuck on Monday, got a response on Tuesday, and he came by on Wednesday morning to look at the fence. On Wednesday afternoon, he sent me a quote for labor and materials (recommended using redwood) and then completed the job on Thursday. Jeff was on-time, courteous, professional, friendly; an all-around good guy. We hit a snag early in the work that neither of us foresaw -- the cable couldn't be run through the attic. We had already sunk two hours into the job when we discovered this. Jeff was a trooper, though -- he stuck with it, trying several different strategies before he finally found one that worked. Chuck is a GREAT handyman! After calling several contractors and handymen in the area, Chuck was the only one who knew how to do the job right, and do the job right away (it was a bit of an emergency). Long story short, some contractors accidentally cut the internet cord at my office. Chuck re-wired my internet cord from downstairs to upstairs and even worked closely with AT&T to make sure it was working before he left. He was able to do the job quickly and very professionally. It was a delightful experience hiring Chuck to do the work for my rental. I have been a homeowner and owner of this rental for many years. I have hired many contractors and handymen throughout the years. Certainly Chuck ranks among the highest among handymen that I know because he is good at so many areas and does his work in a meticulous and thorough manner. Furthermore, Chuck is very knowledgeable about internet and therefore communication with him is very easy. The works that needed to be done are: 1. Double oven and dishwasher replaced and 2. Other small repairs include replacing all the fixtures in the shower, as well as two-way switches for the Kitchen and laundry room. My rental house is not new and he was able to advise me the need to replace some new faucet for the dishwasher. With double oven, he pointed out, due to Aluminum wiring in the house, additional connectors are needed. I am an engineer by training and could tell what is necessary and therefore appreciate his expertise in both electricity and plumbing to save me a lot of trouble in the future. Based on another yelp review, I called Chuck because my smoke alarm was chirping. It's in a very high area at the top of some stairs, and not easy to get too. Even though it was Saturday, Chuck returned my call quickly, and came out that morning. There were a few mysteries, but Chuck used his smartphone to get the user's manual from the manufacturer. He even sent me a copy of a photo he took inside the alarm so that I would have the mfg date and the proper model number, and sent me the PDF file of the user guide. A couple of years ago I had a new front door put in. After 4 visits the installer could not get the deadbolt to line up correctly, and the door knob did not latch correctly. A strong wind came one night and completely blew the door open and left a big hole where the latch was. I contacted Chuck and he was able to get the dead bolt to work correctly and fix the large hole for the latch. I am very pleased to finally have a front door that works well. He also installed two light fixtures in my bathrooms, fixed a drawer that would not work correctly and fixed my magnetic back screen door so it could again latch. Temco Logistics damaged the external door frame when they delivered a refrigerator 12/2/2015. My garage door frame was also damaged from a separate incident; he fixed both perfectly and took the time to do a meticulously good job (several trips) to make sure both areas were even better than when I bought my townhouse. I also had a light that had gone out in the kitchen and for some reason, could not put a new light back in. He fixed that problem no charge and took the time to explain what had gone wrong. I found Chuck here on Yelp when I needed my rain gutters cleaned. I sent out several requests for quotes and he was the only one that responded. And he responded quickly!! I had a good gut feeling after talking to him, and felt his prices were very reasonable. We agreed he would do the work. I warned him that the job might be a bit difficult as I have a 2 story house in a mobile home park, but he wasn't phased at all. Once he saw the house I think he was a little surprised at how "deceptively tall" it was, but he didn't walk away! I would fully understand if he had! But he had made a commitment and was going to stick to it, and found a way to make it work. He made sure to keep me informed, was very safety conscious, thorough, and incredibly fair with his end price considering the challenges he faced. That sort of integrity is quite rare I think, and it certainly reinforced my decision to have him do the work! I've got Chuck on my "speed dial" now. I've contacted him several times regarding other projects around the house. He's always responded quickly and has been incredibly helpful!
