We went back and forth with ideas, and he was extremely communicative. We finally scheduled and he did an excellent job moving our lighting fixtures as well as installing medicine cabinets in a clean fashion! He is very personable (even my 2 year old enjoyed seeing him!), and a perfectionist. He is thoughtful and clean as well. He took a bit of time to complete our job, but was a pleasure to work with and was flexible and worked hard to complete the task. He even went above and beyond and notified us of other concerns he saw in our home (ie our water heater temperature was scalding and could have burned our kid!) Although Chuck is a nice person to deal with, he was not dependable in arriving on time ( 2 hours late on 1st visit), and the next appointment we made, again, he had not shown up by 30 min later, so when I texted him, he said he had me down for 3 hours later!! No way would I have booked at that time, as I had other things attend to. He blamed it on his "scheduling" app, or whatever. I'm sorry but twice messing up the arrival time is not good business and I told him so. He was very apologetic but that did not make up for his two "mistakes" on time. I tend to only bother to write reviews when the service is exceptional or terrible. Here it is exceptional. I did the standard Yelp search and liked what we saw about All Systems. We asked Chuck (the owner) to help us with a series of plumbing and electrical tasks around the house and in the garage. Our house is an old house and therefore several of the projects were less than obvious. Over about 4 scheduled visits, chuck came and got it all done. Some items took more time than he expected and he made time over the weekend to get it done for us. He was extremely proactive in terms of texting when he would come, when he left, how things were going. He went out of his way to ensure things were done the way he'd want it done if it were his house - recommending against some items when not necessary, but also suggesting items when he thought it would add value. This level of consultative service was very much appreciated. The quality of the work was great - we are very satisfied. And the entire time, chuck was friendly and professional. (Side note: this happened during the covid-era, and chuck was conscientious about cleanliness and mask wearing). I was looking to get my garden lights taken down and was on a time crunch since we were moving. Not only did Chuck respond quickly to the quote request but was able to look at the photos I shared to determine that it'd be a quick job. He was able to squeeze me into his schedule and got all of the light down carefully without breaking any of the bulbs in a little under an hour. He does charge for an hour minimum but the the efficiency and care, so worth it! I have 2 outlets in the kitchen that stopped working, so I asked for quotes from local electricians for a house call. Charles from All Systems replied back in just 23 minutes on a Thursday evening, and offered a suggestion to reset the GFCI switch on the outlets, or if they weren't GFCI, to reset nearby GFCI outlets as many are often connected together. I tried that and it worked! Charles was very polite and helpful, and helped me solve a common problem without needing a house call after all. Chuck came to take a look at my attic fan which seemed to turn on and remain on, even when the weather was not particularly warm. He told me that my fan was working normally! At my request, he turned the fan thermostat setting up slightly; then, without being asked, looked around the attic to troubleshoot the problem. I originally contacted Chuck in Sept to get quotes on changing out toilets and vanity cabinets, however due to unforseen circumstances, I had to put it on hold and renovate my kitchen instead. I called Chuck to see if he was able to help with kitchen project, but he wasn't able to. So we both agreed that once my kitchen was done, he'd be happy to help with other projects that would be $500 or less because he's not allowed to charge above that by law. I had an outdoor electrical outlet the powers our outdoor lighting and watering systems that was not working. My tub was beginning to leak where it joins with the tub door, so I called various places for quotes, but Chuck was the only one who asked meaningful questions about my dilemma and was able to give me a thorough and accurate run-through of what the repair job would entail. From this I gathered that he is a detail-oriented person who is expert at what he does, which was later confirmed to be true by the wonderful results of his work. For example, he did his research by reading through the manual for the exact model tub that I had and followed the directions to a tee on what type adhesive to use, something that the previous homeowner's handyman neglected to do obviously. One of my tub doors had a handle that was falling out of place and he even fixed that, so it literally felt like I came home to a brand new tub. Another thing I appreciated was how careful he was with moving things around and keeping things clean, because I imagine working with tubs and leaks can get messy but I came home to a perfectly clean and tidy bathroom. Chuck is also extremely thoughtful and respectful-- without being asked he took off his shoes when entering the house. He's also very kind and cheery with his words, which makes a world of a difference when dealing with the stress of things breaking down in the house. Chuck was very meticulous about what needs to be fixed and how he was going to do it. He also helped fix the water heater, which save me a significant amount of money, if I called a plumber out to look at it.
