Our nightmare with this company started back in March 2022. We put half down on the project so that materials and custom windows could be ordered (which never happened until several months into a job that was supposed to take only a few weeks). Here we are today, July 8, and my siding is still not complete and we are having to pay another company to come and fix all their mistakes and finish the job. Not to mention, we prepaid for custom windows costing almost 2k that we never received. We were lied to on multiple occasions, which we documented and confronted them about, only to have the owner come out and make promises and nothing get resolved. Many days only 1 person would show up to work for a few hours. They tampered with our electrical box without having a licensed electrician do it and now it sits held up by a board - which is a huge safety hazard. They would eat lunch and leave all their trash in my yard to blow around. Heaps of trash piled up around the home (broken glass and rusty nails and trash thrown on my expensive patio furniture and left there for months) without them hauling off as promised. They left gaping holes in my house for rodents, bugs and weather issues for months without fixing. They punched a hole in our water line with a nail and never came back to repair the water damage. The final straw was when they left corner flashing, soffits and facia off the house for over a month and the wind got under our metal roof and ripped almost half of it off. All-Tex claimed that was not their fault and refused to pay to repair the damages caused by them leaving critical pieces of the roof off that fasten it down so this type of damage does not happen. I am leaving this review, not out of spite for the company, but because I don't want anyone else to go through the absolute nightmare and stress we have with them. The trash you see in the pictures has been sitting around my house for 3 months now and we finally had to hire a company to haul it off after being ghosted. I emailed All-Tex with details of what I wanted. They emailed me back with list of details they needed in order to do the work. I completed the information (basically duplicated all I had told them in my original email) and sent that to them. They gave me a time/date to meet with their rep. Then, I got another email saying they could not provide the material I wanted and could provide something I would not be caught dead accepting. I cancelled the appointment. I have an idea for them. If you can't get the material, which is easily available through the manufacturer, ORDER it. "If a company can not agree to meet with me then they probably are not serious enough". read more

If you have time to allow Alltex to try subcontractor after subcontractor to repair what the previous subcontractor did wrong then Alltex is the company for you. If you want to wait a half a year to get Windstorm certificates while the engineer keeps failing your roof and window replacement then Alltex is the company for you. If you are comfortable having Alltex telling you "you don't need to know" when you ask them the name and contact number of the subcontractor they hired for work in your home, then Alltex is the company for you. Russell and his team do outstanding work! They built a patio cover for us recently, and did an excellent job. Work was completed on time, and within budget. The patio cover was fully integrated into our existing roof and breezeway, such that everything looks like it has been there all along. We all live in Houston, which means there is all ways traffic. Today I was scheduled to meet him at the property at 10:00am, on the way, I was stopped by a very long slow moving train, behind a very long line of cars. Russell calls me at 10:09 & asked if I were at the house, I responded I will be there at in 2 minutes, the train just passed. He responded with "I am done!!! I just drove 45 minutes, I was behind the train too & was still able to get here on time and that I should have called him if I was running late!!!" so he left. I arrived at my my home at 10:11 called him back to let him know he was still welcome to come back even though he was very rude. I tried to explain the long line of cars & the train, he still refused and told me I was rude for not calling to let him Know I was running late. He could have easily called me upon his arrival but I am glad he chose not to bid if that is the way he handles his customers. I did let him know I would post a review. read more

I just called these folks just to get a bid on a screened porch addition for a rental property we own in Austin, TX. The receptionist said she would be glad to set up an appointment with us in our home. I told her that we lived in Washington state now, so that would be hard to do, and couldn't I just talk on the phone with a sales representative? After a lot of silly excuses and even sillier suggestions (like presenting a bid to our renters instead), she finally put me on hold while she talked to someone in the office. When she came back on the answer was that if they couldn't come talk to me into a sale face-to-face they weren't willing to work with me at all. If that doesn't send up red flags, I don't know what does. If you ask for a bid from these folks and let them into your home expect to have every last hard-sell tactic known to man thrown in your face. Reputable professionals don't turn down good business just because they have to deal with you over the phone rather than in person. read more

Alltex has no full time craft employees, they subcontract your work to others and pocket the difference. Some are good subs, some are really bad. I chose this company because of the information on the website that I later founded out that we had to supply. The website states that you get an electric cooling and sound system package Free with a custom patio cover. After talking to Aleck we found out that we have to supply the fans & speakers for the cooling & sound system, and its just installation. They also use sub contractors which they were more polite when dealing with us. Aleck was not clear on the timeline of the work. Granted they had to wait for HOA to approved. However once it was approved, he stated work would start on a wednesday and never gave full details. The contractors showed up unannounced a day earlier to start framing because they were told to pour on Wednesday. Aleck texted them wednesday morning and told the to go to another job. (TEXTS WERE SHOWNED BY CONTRACTORS) Once it brought to my attention they would not pour until friday or Saturday morning.(TOLD BY ALECK) I reach out to Aleck for him to be beyond rude, unprofessional, over talked me, and very nasty over the phone. ALECK attitude was unacceptable, seems like once our down payment went throught his happy attitude went out of the window. He wouldnt answer calls, and he wasnt as quick to reply to text messages. His delivery changed, so the rest of the way he dealt via text message with my husband (which was upset, but knew I wanted a patio) The sub contractor were the total opposite. They were open to all questions, and contacted me once they arrived and kept us updated. Even though lunch got out of hand one day. They cleaned up before they left and made sure our yard look as they found it. They did a wonderful job on our patio. I wish that I would have done business with them directly instead of going thru ALL TEX. read more

Russell Ahmann handled our backyard renovation and I couldn't be happier with the results. We covered the patio and put in a fire table and kitchen. The work was done flawlessly but more importantly when I wanted to make changes Russell worked with me to make sure they got done and it all came together perfectly. There are less expensive options out there but my experience is you get what you pay for on these types of projects and I have no doubt my backyard work will still look new long after I'm gone. The quality and craftsmanship of the construction was top notch. One interesting note. Because of the way our roof sloped Russell insisted that we build the addition so it would handle even a snow load. That way even after years of heavy rain and Houston weather the roof would look new and hold up over time. The other important thing Russell did for me was making sure my ideas wouldn't cause problems later. There were things I wanted that just don't make sense. Russell with his years of experience made sure I avoided those pitfalls. read more

I paid All-Tex $2,500 to paint my 7 year-old house in 2013. I expressed concerns to the PM, Aleck, that the wood hadn't had enough time to dry from recent rain before they started painting. He assured me that they honor their 5-year guarantee. In 2016, I noticed that the paint had bubbles and blisters in more than 100 places - mostly on the wood surfaces, but also in 8 places on the Hardie siding. After an on-line warranty claim and three phone calls, Aleck finally came to look at it. In a nutshell, he said that there's nothing that can be done to prevent painted wood from blistering and that I shouldn't have waited 3 years to report it, although I had only noticed it then and the warranty period is 5 years. He said that he would correct the bubbles on the Hardie siding, but he never did even after I gave him a follow-up call to get an update. It's worth noting that he literally screamed at me on the phone and told me I could sue him if I didn't like it. ...... I called the office and spoke to Sue, one of the owners, and asked her for only one thing - to send someone else out to give her and me a second opinion. A couple of weeks later, Russell looked at it and immediately said that they would repaint the affected areas - which they did. Russell was very nice and professional, as were his painters. read more

All-Tex just completed two jobs on our house in The Woodlands. Replacement of all the wood siding plus soffit and facia with Hardie products. No more wood for the squirrels to chew or weather to rot! Once that job was completed, the roofing crew arrived within a few days to replace our roof. What really impressed me was the customer focus from both Russell for the siding job, and Scott for the roofing. I was continuously reminded that my satisfaction was key to them, so any concerns or issues I brought up were immediately addressed. The Hardie siding and trim looks great. The crew stayed busy from dawn to dusk, with my neighbor even commenting on how well they cleaned up after each day. Scott personally worked on specific parts of the roofing job that I was particularly interested in. Both crews were great. Communication was never a problem. Permits were handled quickly by Sue. I had used All-Tex about 8 years ago. I knew they were customer focused and chose All-Tex again over two other competitive bids. I'm very glad I chose All-Tex again. read more
