We initially hired a different foundation repair company, but unfortunately, they caused significant damage to our pier-and-beam house. They had assured us the house would be raised slowly and carefully, but in reality, they lifted it far too quickly. This sudden movement resulted in structural damage. We no longer felt comfortable allowing them to continue with the leveling work. We knew we needed to find a company we could trust, one that would be honest, meticulous, and meet my very high standards. That's when we hired All Texas Foundation Repair, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. The owner, Bill, came out with his foreman, Jose. Jose went under the house with me and inspected every beam for damage. Some beams had snapped, while others were riddled with termite damage. Bill prepared a quote based on the scope of work Jose estimated would be required. After considering the proposal for a couple of days, we called Bill back. He handwrote a detailed work order that clearly laid out everything that would be done. This included installing termite shields, replacing specific lengths of beams, and rebuilding the exterior columns on new bases were level, plumb, and properly aligned with the beams. We also requested that the AC unit be raised on blocks, the deck lifted along with the house, and the porch stabilized with beams. Jose and his team worked on the house for a week. He understood exactly what I wanted and was never frustrated with how particular I was. He worked through every challenge thoughtfully, always finding ideal solutions. Jose could be trusted to work independently, but if he was ever unsure about something, he always asked. It was clear he genuinely cared about making sure I was happy with the results. He also took the time to explain each step and the trade-offs involved. For instance, our en-suite had been built on a sagging frame. Jose explained that while it could be leveled perfectly, doing so would cause extensive damage to the wall and floor tiles. Instead, he carefully monitored the leveling process and adjusted gradually until he reached the maximum the frame could handle, achieving near-level results with minimal damage. The crew working with Jose were true professionals, always polite, friendly, and clearly proud of their work. They used metal and wooden spacers on top of the jacks to prevent damage to the beams. They cleaned up thoroughly, removing all debris from the site, replacing any displaced soil, and even sweeping the porch when they were finished. Most impressively, Jose was able to level most of the house to within 1/10th of an inch from the reference point. This company was recommended to me by a structural engineer back in 2009. I hired them and they fixed my foundation around that time. I've had cracks around doors and windows, and a back door that occasionally sticks, ever since. Mark came out twice and always said nothing is wrong. He also said they lost all their records in a flood, but I have my copies. For the last couple of years, they have not been answering their phones. I even stopped by the address once, which was a run-down office with some foundation repair equipment and several cars, but nobody answered when I knocked. Now my chimney is starting to separate from my house, so I called other companies, who have all found similar discrepancies. It's interesting that there are such recent reviews here, which tells me they still are in business. So much for my lifetime warranty. I would not recommend this company. read more

Recently, we had some work done and our contractor suggested we have the foundation evaluated before doing any additional repairs. Mike took measurements in a number of areas of the house and found no issues that were out of the.ordinary. The impressive part of our meeting was that he reported not seeing anything that warranted foundation repairs at this time but gave me the name of an engineer in case I wanted a written report from a third party. In a world where repair people will often make up problems so that they can charge for making unnecessary repairs, it's so good to know that there are still some companies that are honest and have integrity. The most important thing for a company is prestige but All Texas Foudation has disappointed us. Here are some things you should get ready based on our experience. 1st: Please prepare for about 3 months if you want to see them because I have to wait about 3 months to repair the house. Second: Mark was the one who exchanged directly with my family but came to repair my house to be another person. This shows irresponsibility but he gave my family a gift and we acknowledge an effort of him. 3: You also prepare your Life Time Warranty really doesn't have too much difference with you having to hire another company (11k with total 54 piers) because the price they offer. All texas Foudation offer 1 Pier outside is $ 395 and the inside is $ 575, Adjustments is $ 250. 4: The cost they record on the contract will be different from the cost you have to pay. $ 8660+ and the ending is $ 10950. There is no new drawing or a new contract sent to but just a handwritten and exchanged on the phone, text messages. 5: Mark's lifting recommendations, different from the recommendations to raise the foundation from a engineer. Although Mark later followed. 6: In the process of lifting the foundation , we found that there was an elderly worker in the team filling the soil and putting the piers in very reckless. Other workers work well. But the whole team has no one supervised as well as the absence of Mark, making the majority of communication through the phone. Especially: Mark told us that he will discount the adjustment pier to $ 200 and give us a free new Pier and 3 Adjust Pier for us to be happy but then he says him NOT the owner of the company, just a manager and not discount us as he said, although he still gave us a new Pier and 3 Adjust Pier but that made us disappointed by the lack of professionalism and reputation. A reputable company should not be treat client like that. The current situation of the house after making the Foudation ripped the roof and two huge cracks on the wall and countless cracks in the house, the door was opened, we will update if there is an additional things after. We thank for those guys who help us lift the house responsible and help us cut those trees near foudation, cleaning a house, and help us pay by credit card. Expenses exceeded our expectations and we struggled to pay off the debt as well as cost extra cost to fix the house after finishing. These guys did our foundation back in 1991. It's been many years later and we are getting ready to put a new roof on, so we wanted to make sure the foundation wasn't messed up, since we've had floods and droughts since 1991. I called them to come out and do an inspection/assessment to see what might need to be done. Bill Marks, the owner, came out with equipment, did a thorough inspection, and verified that we've had LESS than 1/2" of movement since 1991, which is remarkable. As it turned out, the foundation is fine and good to go for the new roof. He told us that if we noticed any funky stuff in the future, we should call him to come back and inspect it again. Recently asked them to come back out and check the house as we noticed some cracking in the drywall in a few spots. Met the owner of the company on our property and while there was some shifting, discovered happily that it was minor overall, and he even recommended not to do anything this year! Although the sales guy was nice enough, I felt there was high pressure tactics. He wrote a huge, obscene $$$ on a piece of paper, crossed it out, wrote a lower number, and crossed that out, and so on. He asked me what I did for a living (why does that matter?) Then brought out a white binder with pictures and reviews from other customers and insisted my house needed foundation repair. I had two other companies come out after him. Those two companies came out with their same yellow level machines. They measured nearly 1" less than All Texas and both said it was normal settling and my house did not need repairs, just to keep the moisture consistent. I have to say first off, I ended up not having work done, but I met with Bill Marks, the owner, who looked at my property and he is a straightforward good business man. I live within the loop in a modular home on a block and beam foundation. The house is only 8 years old but half is a little lower than the other half. It bothered me and so I called around to see about leveling it and raising it a foot or two. A friend's company who works on these style of buildings looked under and assessed about 3k-4k for repairs. I was all set to do but the summer rains and their schedule kept postponing. SO i searched the web and kept coming across Mr. Marks and All Texas Foundation Repair. I called and left a message. We played phone tag for a few days and Mr. Marks ended up coming out Monday after Thanksgiving. He looked at the house and said from his glance it looked fine. He came inside and measured the changes in level across the entire house. He said it may be about $2600-$3000, BUT he would not recommend spending the money. He was direct and said he would do the work but did not want to take my money. I appreciate his honesty and assessment, at no charge (he spent about 30 minutes or so walking the house and explaining what was a problem to me was not a problem for the cost. The best thing he said (beside not to get the work done) was if the doors start having a problem, then that is when action should be taken. I am glad to meet someone who is not trying to merely take money for no reason in a business, too many people waste money for nothing. I had this company come give me a quote for leveling my house, I've since had two other quotes and chose not to use this company. Here was my experience: - I felt like he immediately began sizing me up, to try and determine how much he felt I could afford. It felt similar to shopping for a used car. - It was raining that day and my grass was just cut, so he ended up with grass on him. I offered him a towel but he refused and instead let grass fall off of him throughout my house. - He gave me a quote I felt was high and I asked him the reason. I guess he assumed I knew nothing about house leveling (maybe he doesn't know about the internet machine) and gave me a number of reasons that should have no impact on price. - I told him I was planning on getting more quotes and he immediately began making derogatory comments about his competitors. He even went as far as making near racist comments about some. - I was polite and let him finish his sales pitch. After he left, I noticed his clipboard put scratches in my dining room table. So I guess he'll cost me money even though I won't be hiring him. My first assumption ended up being correct. The other quotes I have received thus far have been about half the cost of his. I asked the other contractors if some of the items All Texas mentioned impacted the price, and they confirmed that they did not impact the price. Bill Marks of All Texas Foundation added piles to our home in 2007. Since then he has come out twice at no cost and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. After the drought, he said it hadn't changed enough to be worried. This time (2016) I called him after a rafter in my attic broke. We had Olshan estimate $14,000 to fix the problem. Bill showed me how 1 inch over 40' isn't enough movement to cause the broken rafter. If it had been a foundation problem, the rafters would have separated from the main ridge in the roof. He said it would somewhere along $2800-$3300 however he did not recommend doing the work at this time. He said the difference was 1/2 inch from one side of the house to the other side. The owner, Bill Marks, came to my home in order to accommodate my erratic work schedule. He took numerous measurements and assessed the condition of the home. There was no hard sell and all of his recommendations were more conservative than the other quotes that I received. He actually said that we could wait vs. immediate repairs. All Texas foundation inspector does not act like a professional. Their inspector Mark, came to my home and after I mentioned that I was getting a couple of quotes from other foundation repair companies he asked who and immediately started trash talking them which bordered on slander. After that, he came into my home with his laser level set it down, never used it so it must have been for show, and made his sketch showing where he thought the piers needed to be placed. He called for peirs to be spaced around the perimeter of the house. So i knew that it needed some interior piers but I believe he left them out intentionally so that when the work actually began, then they would say they were needed on the spot and then charge me out the you know what for them. The inspector was a smooth talking weasel...just like a stereotypical used car salesman. I could go into more details but I am limited on Yelp's review.
