I have been having trouble with my furnace for over a year. David is an absolute genius!!! Him and Joe found the issue with my furnace and fixed it promptly. I had been told in the past, by other oil companies, everything from "there is nothing wrong with it" to "You need a new furnace". My furnace is around 10 years old and I had to keep resetting it (sometimes up to 3 times in a day) as it kept having a problem starting on its own. This issue was known as a "hard lockout." Someone had previously put in a nozzle that was too big, and a "plate" to fit the nozzle. It cause some kind of a "dead zone". David found that the plate and nozzle did not fit the burner "exactly" and that this minute, extremely tiny difference caused the problem of the furnace shutting down. I have no idea how he found the problem (since once it was reset it would work fine) when numerous oil companies did not have a clue. David is an ace when it comes to knowledge of oil burners and I can't say enough about his work ethic! I have 4 zone heat and air conditioning. I plan to have him service all my a/c units in the spring. I wish I could give All town heating and air conditioning 10 stars!! They are the absolute best I have ever worked with and I worked with numerous oil burner companies. If you have ANY problems with your heating or A/C, call AllTown you will not be disappointed! I had to work with Dave from out of state to help get my elderly uncle's a/c working. I should note that I called two other A/C places too. One couldn't even take the time to call me back and the other acted like I was an inconvenience. I live by the beach in California where we don't have A/C because of cool nights, but Dave took the time to explain everything in detail with me and go over the details of what would need to be done. The most important points are that I could not imagine better customer service and the work was absolutely top-notch as well. I'll tell the story, but it's on the long side so if you stop reading now, just know that you will not be disappointed by All Town. We were getting our furnace replaced and we went through the Mass Save HEAT Loan program. Dave has dealt with that many times and was a big help getting us everything that we needed from him and helping understand what exactly we needed to do. They removed the old and installed the new. It was a big project and they did great and left no mess. But a week later we noticed that our heat wasn't always kicking on when it should be. THIS WAS NOT ALL TOWN'S FAULT! I called and they sent someone over. He discovered a complicated problem that I didn't fully understand but the bottom line was that condensation was not draining properly and so the machine would eventually shut itself down. He fixed it for the time being and thought it might be all set. It was not. I ended up calling Dave on a Saturday when we were not even home (a family obligation) and told him that it had happened again. We had left a door unlocked and they were able to get in and fix it again. This second time was when they discovered some possible problems in the machine itself from the factory. Unfortunately their remedies only lasted about half a day and it was cold again the next morning. The main reason I was so concerned was that we had a baby in the house. I called Dave early on a Sunday and he and two others were there ASAP to give us a holdover fix that should last a few days because he had determined at this point that we needed a whole new machine. At no further cost to us, Dave and the guys came back a few days later, installed the "extra" new furnace and got rid of the bad one. Haven't had any problems since and this whole situation could have been a real mess. But Dave and his guys made a tough situation as easy as they possibly could and took care of everything for us. read more

Hire these guys TODAY! Wow!!! Wow is all I can say when referring to the job and service my wife and I received from All Town. From getting an estimate (Dave did not try to upsell or pressure us into anything) to pricing (very fair and competitive as i had got to compare to 4 other estimates) to getting the install done ( they were prompt, professional and cleaned up immaculately and had everything up and running in 2 days) Dave, Adam, Daryl & Johnny did not disappoint. They worked great as a team and we were astounded at how much they accomplished in 2 days. We had 4 mini duct splits installed in our 100 year old house and though tricky, they pulled it off with ease. It's nice to see a company care and love what they do. The were all so polite and affable and it was sad to see them leave as the kept me entertained with their infectious laughter. Worst service ever. Hired to replace to working thermostats to upgraded digital ones. Thermostats never worked, they messed up all of the electrical wires and air handler settings. at the house for 14 hours total over three days - clearly not equipped for the type of work needed (which was minimal). Without heat for 4 days in 20-30 degree weather. Very confrontational owner that refused to admit they had been wired incorrectly. Trying to add unneeded panels to the air handlers. Had to hire an electrician to come fix there work. No new panels needed! Electrician could not believe how badly the wiring was messed up. Said adding the new thermostats should have been a 20 minute EASY job. They are up and running - no extra work needed other than fixing the mess they made! DO NOT RECOMMEND read more

Second time calling All Town Heating and once again, so pleased with the service! Easy to shoot an email via the website and received a call back within hours. The caller was polite, professional and gave a window of time to expect the burner service folks to arrive. They too were friendly and professional and gave an affordable estimate and did a great job. read more

We called them this morning around 9:00 am and they came out at 4:45 pm and we're gone by 5:45 pm. They charged us $250.00 dollars to basically replace the thermal coupling and put a new brass fitting on the pilot line. I will never use or recommend them again. read more

I have no idea what the negative reviewers are talking about. I have used All Town for years. Every time I've need them they have been prompt, courteous and efficient. My AC is ancient. The fan motor went out late on Sunday, I called them and got the answering machine. They called back and asked what the problem was. Scheduled me for the morning since no one was available. At 8:15 on Monday I got a call that they were on the way. At 8:30 they were at my door. Mark evaluated the problem and confirmed that the fan motor was indeed burned out. He said that it was so old that his supplier would have to order one and he world be back at 12:00 the next day. He sat in his truck for some time and came back in to let me know that he called a number of other suppliers and found a motor that he could get now and install now. After he left to get the motor, I went for a walk (about 35 minutes). When I got back home Mark was already installing the new motor. BTW after they couldn't schedule me immediately, I called two other companies and they couldn't come out either. No question that I will not use another company unless I am forced to. read more

Technicians that came out were very friendly and I had no problems with them (although I remember at the time they were at my house sensing how they seemed reluctant to question their boss, the owner. When paying them I asked if they would consider applying the money I paid to installing a new condenser. They both said I would personally have to ask the owner...and the way they said it sounded like they knew more about him than they were letting on.) I found out later after hiring another company that All Town Heating installed a broken and previously used compressor booster to my outdoor Trane AC Condenser. I watched the new tech remove the booster and show me how it was broken and had rattling pieces inside (I have actual video of him removing it and showing it to me). He also said it was half the size booster that was called for. And upon inspection, it was clear the booster was an old used unit. It was dirty and only had glue marks on the outside of it where a label used to be long ago. All Town Heating charged me $250. $100 for the broken booster (while a new, larger booster costs $44 online) and $150 for the visit. (They initially got it working for a day so I didnt think much of paying but it ended up not working again after that. It was end of summer so there was only one day I used the AC in the last month or so.) So when I figured it out it was broken again (with the new tech there), my wife called the owner of All Town Heating. He called my wife a liar (said she probably smashed it against the wall) and wouldnt give us any money back. He said "besides, we only warrant parts for 30 days". The point is they installed an underpowered, used, broken part. The owner was very rude and immature to my wife. Hard to believe he runs a company. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these guys! read more

Owner is not customer focused. Paid him to fix my AC - he did not fix it and ended up with same problem. Refused to come back after I paid him $150 to replace a drain pipe - pvc. I would never use them again! read more
