If you're going to get smogged in Turlock, I'd recommend this shop. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I was very happy with my experience in which my vehicle failed horrendously and they were able to schedule a diagnosis for it by the end of the week. My vehicle was diagnosed, fixed, and passed smog in 2-3 days which I feel is pretty fast for what they did. I ended up paying less than quoted, which I was very pleased with. I will be taking all of my vehicle here for future smogs, and smog related work. read more

After we tries fixing the problems on my brothers truck ourselves and failing we found All Valley Smog. First of all Jim Herr was so full of energy, he was pleasant, funny and helpful. Julie was all business and that was just fine. We were told it would take a few days to find the problem and fix it so it would pass smog. We dropped it off Monday morning and was called Wednesday morning to come get it. We were explained what the problem was and we are very happy with the work. Not sure on the prices because we had a voucher but the customer service was nice. read more

Came here for the experience based on the reviews to receive a smog check. Used the coupon and was then told my car had "failed". Had me drive x amount of miles. Then wanted to over charge me an additional 60 to fix a part, decided to go some else paid only 20 for that same part to get fixed and guess what, my car had passed on the first visit. I am writing on my 2 sisters experience. They wouldn't stop talking about how funny the owner is, and how comfortable they felt going there for their smog.. It could be intimidating when a young lady goes to get anything done to her car (they've been jipped before)! So I was glad they mentioned nothing but positive things about this place! read more

Everyone here was very helpful in getting our car to pass the smog test. Computer monitors would not reset and they kept trying everything they could think of to solve the problem. Very reasonable price for all the time they spent with the car. read more

Mislead my elderly mother into thinking she needed the whole front end of her car rebuilt, and used fear as a tactic telling her that "her car was unsafe to drive" gave her an estimate for over 1300.00, I than took the car to Paul Moores front end who laughed at the estimate from All Valley and reafirmed my suspicions and repaired the car for under 300.00. very dishonest owner!! I had been using this shop every since the first day they were opened for oil changes and smog without any problems, but after this experience will never use them again. read more

Came here after I had decided to yelp a place to try for a routine smog check. Well it turned out to be a ruined day with poor customer service!!! Technician was arrogent, rude, and non approachable. I was very disappointed with service and even prices. Bummed out by this place...don't waste your time. There are definitiely better places in town. read more

Very dishonest people. Went to all valley smog for an on board diagnostic. Never performed...instead they did a baseline smog test, which I had done two days prior. My radiator sprung a leak and the quoted radiator was the wrong one. The correct one (more expensive) was shipped to the wrong place and had to be reordered. Once installed I was told that I had leaky seals and it would take approx. 8 hours of labor to find. Recommended a sealant which I already tried and was told to drive for a couple days and come back. Car was never put on the on board diagnostic machine...was told it was a myth that there is no such thing. After going back to basics, we did a tune up....including spark plug wires and the car passed smog. They also said there was visible smoke, which was not there when I had the car smogged 2 days before. read more

Please do not waste your money with All Valley Smog. My son went there because the place we normally go to was closed. We try to patronize the businesses in Turlock because I live and was rasied here. All Valley Smog did not offer a pre-test and failed my sons truck. They told him that the repairs could be over $1200. for new catalytic converters. Needless to say he left there, $50 in the hole and upset. Most reputable company's offer a no charge retest... Not these guys. After work the next day I took a look under the hood and found that one end of the breather hose from the oil fill spout to the intake air assembly had been removed and was just hanging there. I had to force it back into the intake, so I know it just didn't "fall" out. Later that week, without any mechanical changes I took it to a place in Modesto and the truck passed, no problems. I find it hard to believe that a company that specializes in smog would miss a hose not being connected. They are supposed to visually check for that stuff BEFORE performing a smog test. We will not be using or recommending this company to anyone. read more
