Tech would not even look at my car (1996 Saleen S-351). The smog bay was open. He indicated that he did not want "my kind of business". I tried to explain that i had documentation about the car. Again he indicated that he did not want the exposure. Sounds like my car was being profiled. Not a shop for any "specialty" cars if you do not fit the shops customer profile. read more

Chinese dude told me the car didn't pass and that I had to drive it more so the cars computer could learn the 02 sensor and cat converter bs type shiii but nothing was wrong with them and failed me twice, went next door to freedom smog and they passed me easily, dude also had a nasty attitude. read more

Got my car smogged today at Smog Dynamic and I passed, whoo hoo! I actually came here a few years ago too (for my '96 Camry) and passed then too! Got my DMV renewal in the mail and was surprised I had to do a smog check already since it my car is from 2007. Theo was really cool, professional and super informative - taught me that once your car hits 6 years old, you have to get it smogged and that I'd need to get it smogged again in 2 years. Also taught me some other cool facts about my car that was super helpful! The shop closes at 5 pm, but Theo was very accommodating (as I didn't get to his shop until after 4:30). I had called around 4 to ask if I could stop by to get my car smogged and was just picking it up from the dealership from getting an oil change and some other maintenance. Theo even gave me a tip - which was to check with the dealership to make sure they didn't reset the computer in my car otherwise I might've had to drive my car for about 100 miles or so before I could get it smogged. Oh yeah, and I think the sign said that this place is closed on the 2nd Saturday of every month so try to plan ahead! If you're looking for a Smog Test that's professional and who knows their stuff - this is the place to go! read more

Upping this place to 5 stars because they now do repairs for Smog. Before they didn't and it would be a hassle for you to go get it repaired somewhere else and bring it back. It's a STAR Certified Station so they do any kind of smog related tests/repairs/and certifications. I brought my TL here to have it smogged and was talking to Theo about it's time for my TL to have the 105k maintenance performed on it. He mentioned to me that he is also certified to do repairs for these and not just smog related items. I had him do the timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, cv axles, and power steering pump. Got a good price on the all the work was done, too! In the end, treat and talk how you want to be treated and talked to and they'll do the same to you. I would recommend this place. This place is horrible I went in for a smog. Pass for everything. But I had forgot a little piece to my filter at home. Instead of letting me go get it real fast. Which I lived 2 blocks away. That's why I even went there. I told him let me go grab it real fast before you smog it. (Reminder piece was a size of a quarter) he straight told me to my face No! This how I make my money. I can't even give them a single star. Theodore Nguyen is a scam artist. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE. I brought my truck there on January 27 2016 and he said the truck failed the computer scan and the oxygen sensor and oxygen sensor heater failed. Said to drive it around a little more. I did that and brought it back to retest on February 22 2016, once again it failed the computer test with the same sensors failing. I brought it to a repair center to have the sensors replaced. Replaced the sensors and still had the same problem. Brought it to another smog shop and they said he had hooked the truck up to an OBD2 instead of an OBD1. Not sure if that was true brought it to another smog shop and they told me the same thing. I had the 3rd company do the smog and had no problems. I went to smog dynamics and asked for the owner Theodore Nguyen to refund my money for the 2 fail smog test because he did them wrong, he refused. All I wanted was for him to man up and refund the money for doing the job wrong the first time. He is a smog shop, that's his job. Never once have I had an issue smogging my truck and it's a 2000. So now I will be filing a lawsuit against song dynamic for all smog and repair costs plus lawyer fees. Should have just been a man and own up to a mistake Theodore Nguyen.
