All West Coat Auto Wrecking is a sad excuse for a business. I purchased a cylinder head that was NOT MACHINABLE in June 2012. I called them to have them pick the part up and verify the cylinder head I purchased was unmachinable because it was already machined too thin in the past. I had a note from the machinist, the original reciept and the used cylinder head purchased near the door awaiting pickup for 4 months without even a call. It was as if they had not even told any driver I needed to return the cylinder head. I called again and a very RUDE customer service representative assured me he would put in a note to their driver. ANOTHER nearly 2 MONTHS go by without a word. This time the representative (again rude) would not allow me to speak with a manager and abruptly hung up once asked to have the manager call me back. I CALLED THEM back later that day and spoke with the manager whom after all this time would not take back the JUNK PARTS they sold me 6 MONTHS prior. A warning to ALL those considering buying parts from these fibbers, they sell JUNK and WILL NOT return/pick up parts as promised! read more

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE DOES NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY-- I am out $850 for a transmission that does not work and they will not refund. They lie and say they had the transmission checked when I returned it -- how does that make sense? they will pay to have it looked at when it's returned but not before they sell it to some trusting customer? Audi checked the transmission when it was installed, gave the installation a thumbs up, and these guys said that it was installed incorrectly and that's how it broke. Will be taking them to small claims court with my letter from Audi stating that the front pump was working (duh, that's how they fill a sealed transmission). Tired of people cheating and not honoring warranties. Time to take legal action!! read more

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Was quoted 350 (385.21 with taxes and fees) for a World Rally Blue hatch for my WRX wagon. It was the only one in the state, and they and I both knew that. Drove 5 HOURS across the state only to get the bait and switch when i got there. Ryan G'd me up for a week about how they were going to help me out on cost since i was driving so far and chose their yard to purchase thru. Well, that was completely disingenuous. Go to ring out and suddenly it was 412 dollars. Was told numerous times what the price was going to be 385 TOTAL. Lies. Ryan asked "well, do you still want it? I mean, it is the only one in the state." So I guess that makes it okay to lie to customers over the phone and bait them in to driving 5 hours to pay more when you get there. Thanks guys. DO NOT ever go to this wrecking yard!!!! We received the worst customer service we have ever experienced in our lives. My husband called to find out if they had parts that he needed for his van, after several phone calls we finally got pictures sent to us. Once we determined the parts would work, we called again on 10/1/19 and told Josh we definitely wanted the parts and offered (3 times) to give him our credit card to pay for the parts just to make sure that they would save the parts for us since we live 5 hours away (we told Josh we'd be there by 11:00 am on 10/3/19). Josh refused our to take our card and said we didn't need to bother because no one has been interested in the parts and he said they will most definitely be there when we up get there. On 10/3/19 we drove 5 hours from Corvallis to Grapeview and arrived at the yard before 11:00 am. When my husband went into the office he was told that his parts were sold to someone else 4 hours after we had talked to Josh on 10/1. My husband asked why they had sold them and the guy said because we hadn't paid for them, so too bad!! My husband told him that we tried to pay over the phone with Josh, but then Josh end up lying about the phone call (even though he had been on speaker phone so both our grandson and I had heard what Josh had said about the credit card). The guy named Forest yelled at my husband telling him too bad, that no matter what my husband says or how much he wants to pay that he (Forest) wasn't going to sell him anything and to get out!! There were other customers in the office and 2 of them walked out saying they are going somewhere else to buy their parts. Both Forest and Josh were very extremely rude and disrespectful - the only person that tried to help my husband was James (he even said that this was wrong, especially since we had driven so far to get the parts - he tried to make it right, but wasn't able to. Called these guys a few times to make sure that they had a part that I needed, each time confirming that, yes they did, I drive the Hour and half that it takes to get there in BFE, because it was the closest place that had the part, and I informed that no, they do not in fact have the part. The guy at counter starts to question me on wither or not my truck does indeed have four doors and then if it is actually four full sized doors, I informed them again, yes it is four full sized doors, it is a crew cab. I really don;t like being treated like an idiot and that I don't know what I am talking about when it comes to vehicles just because I am a woman. The only reason why I am giving two stars is because the guy was looking for another salvage yard that had the part and trying to call a local glass guy for me. It also tells me that 5 star reviews could be false for discounted parts. I will no longer ever recommend this place or send business thier way. My experience spans 3 weeks with them. I'll try keep it short and to the point. 3 weeks ago I called forest looking for a 6.0l drop out and a transmission. He told me he had a 6.0l like what I was looking for. After speaking to a friend of mine he decided he wanted a motor also. I called back and spoke with forest again and told him I wanted to change my order to two 5.3l motors and a transmission. This was on a tuesday I believe, around 10am. He said he would check and call me back. He didn't call by 430 so I called him. He was in the yard so I left a message to have him call me and he didn't. Called Wednesday, it was his day off. Spoke with another employee who said he had on 5.3 that was low mileage but more than I wanted to spend due to the low mileage. I Called him Thursday and he said he had two but had to check with the boss man for pricing and would call me back. He didn't call back so I called again Friday, he again said he had two 5.3l motors for me, one with 125k and one with 128k. He said he'd need payment in full to start pulling the motors. I paid him on my card. He said they'd be ready next Wednesday. I told him I'd be in Thursday since it was my day off. I called that following Wednesday, the day he said they'd be ready, just to make sure they were ready to go. He wasn't their so I spoke to Kevin, the manager, and he said they didn't even have two motors and forest was trying to get them bought at an auction before I was going to pick them up. I gave them another week to track down one motor since my buddy backed out of his. This brings me to today. I drove 2 hrs to pick up the motor and they didn't have it pulled and we're just starting to pull it, said it'd be at least two hours. Told them I'd need some kind of refund for my troubles. Ended up them refunding my money and then pissed at me like this was all some how my fault. Crushed the injector lines, bent the injectors, valve covers, fuel pump, destroyed the water pump and crushed the oil pan. I called up and asked for replacement parts due to mishandling. They said TOO BAD and would not even get me used parts. Even though the engine was fully warranted. It cost an extra four hundred in parts to get the engine to run. They said it is under warranty bring it in and they will investigate and then determine if its their fault I'll get an exchange. Meanwhile the shop wants more money to remove the transmission since they just got paid to remove the first bad one that was in the car when I towed it in and re-installed the junk one that all west sold me. plus I'm out all the money for the trans fluid, filter, etc. This place sucks. Oh we can't do that until you bring us back the defective part. I tell Mitch its takes 4 hrs. to drive down and come home. He has my core can't they just keep my core in exchange as I used there defective part as a core to buy a new part. Mitch says absolutely not we are not going to refund without our core and our part number on the side of the core. I called several times about different parts I needed and they would never call me back. I had to call them numerous times days later to get a response. They sell parts and I'm a buyer of parts - one would think this is a no brainer. I guess unless you're buying engines or other expensive parts, they don't want to be bothered by you. I've dealt with two males and one female counter person. The first guy I dealt 6 months ago with was decent - handed my order promptly and was nice on the phone. The other two should be fired - never called me back and acted like I was bothering them because I was calling for parts. I was sent parts for my vehicle that were not even close the right parts for the vehicle. Very short tempers, never have anytime to discuss the parts you need and get hung up on quite frequently half way through your conversation. If you do not get both questions out at once, you will get hung up on after they answer the first question and they are done with you. Twenty dollar next day delivery can take over a week to get to you, with no refund on shipping costs as you are expected to just eat it and pretty much deal with it. I tried to buy an engine from this place and told the rep (Allen)everything I wanted. I was given a price total, and paid in full. I was told my delivery would take place the next day, which was a no-show, then the next day (another no-show), called them asked to speak to manager and was told by another person it would be delivered next day (another no-show). Spoke to the manager Kevin told him everything that happened, he said delivery would be next day. Upon delivery, what showed up was totally different than I had paid for. I refused delivery, and called the company. Spoke to Allen who said he would make everything right, but long story short- more lies and never received what I paid for, and after being told I would receive a refund- no refund. I'm glad I paid with credit card-because if I hadn't, they would have just kept my money. I ended up having to involve my credit card company in getting back my money. hi, I researched on a sunday for an elec door mirror and website said yes. on Monday I called and ordered said mirror, gave card, phone etc . called back and said I would be in next day to pick up. when I arrived after driving from Poulsbo to grapeview was told they had madw a mistake and did not have mirror but, get this, " I submitted a credit back to your card".
