I love this dental office so much. Dr Pfeiffer Was recommended to me by a friend years ago. My family and i see him and his staff for cleanings twice a year. We see Jenny and Didi for cleanings and they are awesome. And dr Pfeiffer has always been there when one of us needs help with a tooth, he even has showed up after hours when my dad and mom had a problem with a tooth. The staff lacked concern for their mistake in my dental work. I had an implant done and he screwed the implant beyond the end point and it went through exiting out through my inner nostril just a little bit but had left a permanent opening. I didn't discover this mistake until I went to another dentist who asked me who had done this horrible job on my dental implant. He omitted the error on his behalf, I would never go back nor recommend this dentist especially for the amount I was charged. Dr. Pfeiffer and his staff are really as good as all the other reviewers say. My family and I have been patients for about 20 years. He doesn't pressure you into treatments for problems or possible problems until you really need it - or until you're ready to take the next step. He is really gentle when you need a numbing shot before he starts filling cavities etc. Calm demeanor keeps things at a relatively low stress level (hey it's dental work, so there's a little anxiety...) His staff is really good about billing insurance and not pressing you to pay first. Julie, the dental hygienist is funny and gentle in her scrapings and cleaning. When my daughter was very young she loved going to the dentist because they were so nice and never hurt her. She learned great dental habits from their encouragement! He also has good referrals for endodontists and oral surgeons. read more

I went to him a few years ago to fix one tooth. The tooth had a tiny brown spot in the corner of it that I wanted drilled off and I also wanted that tooth bonded for cosmetic appearance. Well he did not get the brown spot off and told me that there is no spot there. He said it's just "a shadow". It's a BROWN SPOT. Not a shadow. I don't appreciate it when a dentist or doctor bullshits you and insults your intelligence. As far as the bonding, he did a terrible job. It didn't look that good. It was shoddy work. I never went back to his office again. It was clear that he wasn't taking my business seriously (but he did still charge me for his terrible work). read more

This is a great office. Laid back Malibu atmosphere but clearly very knowledgeable doc and great staff. It reminds me of the mellow, family oriented dentists I had growing up. Very reasonable fees as well. You definitely feel that they are recommending what's best for you. It's a super place for kids as well. Our son is 6 and he is super skeptical of the dental types, but even he has been known to make it in from time to time. Highly Recommended! read more

After my visit with this dr I came to this conclusion: Dr is great, very nice and welcoming, as others have mentioned here the prices aren't bad either. So why did I give him 3 stars? Quite honestly I did not appreciate the girl at the front. (She was the young girl with dark hair and bright lipstick, don't know how else to describe her I can't remember her name) His office would do much better with giving her some etiquette classes. First of all she was making comments that were so inappropriate that I felt like I needed to file a harassment suit! On top of that she was completely rude and condescending. I was so confused and felt very awkward being there, she is definitely NOT professional AT ALL! Thanks but no thanks, I'd rather go somewhere I don't feel harassed. read more

Amazing Doctor/Dentist. He comes into the room and just has a regular conversation with you. He doesn't pull any of the "I'm the Doctor so shut up and listen" routine. He's super friendly and in fact he looked like he just came off a surfing session which was cool with me (but you could clearly tell he was a full pro at what he does). I was in SO much pain i was squirming for a week. If he said we need to do a root canal and it's going to cost you $10,000 I would have said "do it!". He took a grinder and grinned a small spike on my tooth that was digging into the opposite tooth when they touched. It took 5 minutes and the pain was GONE. I think it was like $35.00 Talk about honest. He could have told me I needed a artificial jaw and I would have believed it. The only thing that sucked about him being so honest and getting rid of the pain so non evasively is that I didn't get any pain meds, so next time I might request a jaw replacement :) but honestly I didn't need pain meds because it was a totally painless deal during and after. read more

Dr. Pfeiffer is great but there's something wrong with the administrative side of his office these days. I was scheduled to have a wisdom tooth pulled; and the receptionist had left a message on my phone to confirm the time and day. Two weeks later and the day before my appointment, I called to confirm, only to hear that I wasn't in the book. This wasn't the first time I had communication issues with this office. But I had taken time off work and it takes me an hour each way to get there. What if I had arrived for my appointment, only to hear I wasn't scheduled? Fortunately, they were able to fit me in later that day, but only after I complained. Had I not complained, I would have had to reschedule and lose another day of work. The business manager obviously didn't believe me when I said I had a message confirming the original time and day. When I went in for my appointment, she had me play it for her so she could hear it for herself. Afterwards, she said "I'll look into it." She got up and left. No apologies. Nothing. Just had a double extraction and a temporary bridge installed by Dr Pfeiffer.. Losing my smile wasn't an option so he did this amazing bridge which looks better than my original teeth. Great guy..
