My daughter and I had work done by Dr Niebargal,he left my daughter with a scar for life when he cut her upper lip,then the next day he cut my gums replacing all the mercury I had previously. Paid close to 10 dollars for a a scar for LIFE! Didn't get an apology and still had to pay all the due bills. It's not the first time It has happened from what I've heard from friends. I don't recommend his services at all and regret not calling an attorney when that happened,at least to reconstruct her lip stitches were needed or something,I'm not a plastic surgeon,but from what I see that's what was needed. Sometimes it's best to retire when you've given all you had. Very sad. read more

During our vacation in Malibu, while my husband was eating a bagel around noontime (not exactly a hard food to chew), his one-year-old, spiffy titanium front-teeth bridge fell out. Not a good look. I googled dentists in our area, and called Malibu Dental Group out of the blue, trying to avoid sounding nuts. The receptionist Sharon was calm and reassuring. She put me on hold for a really short time, and then said that if we could come in around 3 pm that day, the dentist would work my husband in. We showed up at 2:45 to fill out paperwork, and by 3:44 pm, we walked out of their office! Dr. Sturgeon explained to my husband why the bridge fell out and then inserted the bridge along with the right kinds of bonding agents. Dr. Sturgeon also took x-rays to make sure that there was no underlying damage. What a relief and what a wonderful experience. As I was making the initial call, I remember thinking how many calls I might need to make in order to find a dentist who would take care of my husband as an emergency. Since we live in Washington, DC, I thought that it might be difficult to find a dentist here who would be willing to help without having to make several back-and-forth medical calls regarding the original dental work. To top it all off, the price was incredibly reasonable, and Sharon took care of submitting the paperwork to our insurance company for reimbursement. Wow! Dr. Sturgeon is my new dentist as of 2014. I've had extensive dental work done over the years, and for years I went to USC to save money. I did save a fortune and got very good quality work done there, but part of the deal was that I would be under the care of many different students. A benefit, I guess, was that I got to listen in to, and even took part in, many discussions between students and instructors there regarding my dental work. Consequently, I fancy myself a bit of an expert on who is, and who is not, a good dentist. First of all, I can FEEL the difference between the gentle hands of an experienced dentist compared to one not so experienced. I also can tell when a dentist is enthusiastic about the work that they do. Dr Sturgeon is both experienced and enthusiastic about his work. In his case, he seems to enjoy talking about the latest materials and helping me choose things that will not only make my teeth healthier, but will make my smile look better as well. After USC, I went to another dentist in Westlake who was really fast and really expensive, but not very caring. My first visit with Malibu Dental was Great! There I met Dr. David Sturgeon. I let him know I have not been to the dentist in over a year. My Dentist who took great care of my family, friends had retired. I know going to the dentist for regular check ups, plays a huge part in staying healthy. I broke a front tooth and was horrified, it was a front tooth, and the only person I trusted was the man who retired. I was referred to ," Dr. Dave". When I met him, he was the kindest, most gentle, caring dentist. He was very thorough, he explained how he proposed to take care of my situation, I needed a crown. My biggest fear was that I was going to get a tooth that did not match. Or look like some of the smiles of today, un-natural. I came back for my second appointment, he prepared my tooth for a crown, did not feel a thing. I was amazed. It went so smooth. I came back to have my permanent crown placed, they removed the temp and tried it in, ask me to take a look to see if I was okay with the outcome before putting it in permanently, said if there is anything I did not like about it, will sent it back to the lab and have them make the adjustments, said, he wanted me totally happy. First of all, I never had anyone ask me this. Second, MY TOOTH WAS PERFECT !!!. YOU COULD NOT TELL WHICH OF MY FRONTH TEETH WAS THE CROWN !!!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. DAVE !!! HE IS AMAZING !!! MY FAMILY, FRIENDS, WILL NOW HAVE AN AMAZING DENTIST WITH AN AWESOME PERSONALITY!!!
