I've had great service both times I was here- quick, easy, and painless. The first time I bought a pair of the Tree Breezers 1/2 size more than more normal shoe size. It turned out to be too small as it pinched and really blistered up the back of my feet. I had already used them outdoors but under their exchange policy I exchanged it for a full size up and they fit much better. Staff is friendly as well. read more

I had a pair of wool runners. When tree skippers came out, I jumped at the chance for a cooler pair for summer. tried so hard to love these shoes, but the construction was terrible. One would always feel like it was about to fall off and rubbed the skin of my foot until I needed bandaids. I took these back to the store, as this is obviously a defect, waited about an hour in the madness and was told by a manager to email customer service. When I emailed, they were no help as 30 days had passed. I threw them out. It's a cool concept, but the store is a disaster and the product is cheaply made. read more

May be the worst shopping experience I've ever experienced. 6 people working and no one asking customers if they needed help. I went up to an employee who was annoyed I asked any questions because "she had boxes to unload". I couldn't try on one pair of shoes even to order online because they didn't have any. (She was unloading a new order). I asked another girl if there was ANYTHING I could try just to check for size and she told me every shoe was different. We walked out. THANK YOU FOR THESE SHOES! I had to walk an epic trade show across a whole city, easily 50 miles over two weeks, and my feet were so comfortable and cosy the entire time. And I didn't wear socks and they are as fresh as new. I would LOVE to see additions to the collection in leather with more fashion/street boot styles as the sneaker look can only go so far style wise, and the idea of wool and breathability with natural materials can go further in that fashion context. I've been slowly changing my wardrobe over from plastics (polyester etc) to all natural - wool, silk, leather etc - materials in harmony with nature and our human history on and within the ecosystems of this planet. I'm done with petrochemical textiles, they're more harmful (and uncomfortable!) than people realize. read more

NOT the most comfortable shoe. I just purchased a pair of wool runners and was super excited when they arrived in the mail yesterday. Walking only 5 steps in them today I could feel the back grating into my heel and knee I was probably in trouble. By the end of the day I had 2 painful blisters on each of my heels. Additionally I had sore toes and the tops of my feet (tarsal-metatarsal joints) were sore. My feet were hot all day (it wasn't even 80 degrees outside). I don't know if my feet would tolerate another day or 2 to break them in. The past 2 pair of shoes I bought were Danskos and Sauconys ... those are comfortable shoes. 12 hrs in them on day one and there were no blisters and no sore or aching feet. I am not impressed at the moment. read more

My girlfriend has been obsessed with Allbirds for quite a while but I am not big on wearing sneakers so didn't think they were for me. She convinced me to go to the store and I tried a pair on... They really do live up to all the hype. The shoes are so comfortable and I Love the environmentally conscious corporate model. I got a pair of the slip bonds which are perfect for bumming around your house or doing errands and then the sneakers which are great for commuting or touring the city. I highly recommend checking them out! Most of their business is online but I really like being able to try on a shoe so it's great that they have the show room in the city. read more

This place was absolutely amazing. Ashley was really helpful and so personable! I was a little intimidated by the price at first but as soon as I put the first pair of shoes on, I understood why! This review will be for my experience at the shop more than the product since I've only had the shoes two days. I went midday on a weekday and had the store nearly to myself. I don't doubt the bad reviews when the store is busy but TBH I don't know of many stores that are great at handling busy crowds. Anyways, the staff let me browse on my own for a minute before asking if I needed help. I really really really appreciate this and have stopped shopping at some places almost entirely (Lush!) because the sales associates are out of control. It's really nice that they let customers browse unbothered to experience this unique product. I got to feel the wool and bend the soles a couple of times and hold up different styles/colors in person before deciding what I wanted to ask. Especially with a product that has such an online presence you have to assume some customers know about your product, they just want to get their hands on them. Pretty quickly the salesgirl noticed that I had settled in front of the wool loungers and came over to help me out. I asked her about any sizing differences between the loungers and the runners and if they had any advice for wide feet. She was super helpful and pulled a couple of boxes for me to try on. While I was wearing them she also explained the deal with washing them and their return policy which would be mentioned again later. The wool runners fit my super wide feet a tad better but I had my heart set on the loungers. A sales associate at Cole Haan gave me a tip to buy a penny loafer in a mens size 2 sizes smaller for a fit similar to a womens wide. It totally worked with the loungers too and my mens wool loungers fit perfectly without feeling like the sides of my feet were spilling over the sole or like my toes have three inches extra space in front! I'm passing this tip on to my fellow wide footed women! The sales associates were great about pulling some mens shoes to compare the fit and that was nice too. You would be surprised at the rude comments I've had when I've asked to try on mens clothing in NYC of all places. So dumb. I went to pay for my shoes and was thrilled to hear they accept both cash and cards. I'm a cash kind of gal and lots of internet based small showrooms, like Everlane, take only cards. They once again reminded me of the 30 day return policy and really insisted that I should bring them back if the sizing was off or if there was unacceptable wear and tear. This was so great to hear since I'm skeptical about the softness of the outsole on hard NYC streets. Don't get wrong they're mega comfortable but I just don't know if they're durable and I want them to last more than a minute for $95. I easily do 5-10 miles a day and tend to beat up everyday shoes pretty quickly. I'll be wearing these as my everyday commuting shoes so I expect to see how well they'll wear after 3 weeks and will update/return if they go to hell. On my way out I was invited to grab some colorful laces even though my shoes were slip ons so now I have some new laces for my snow boots! Overall really pleased with my experience at this store and would reccomend. read more

I want to give this store a huge hug! Thank you for going above and beyond! I was in NYC and purchased a couple pairs but it turned out I needed a diff color in one of the pairs. I left them with my friend who works at a boutique around the corner from the Allbirds store before returning to Ohio. Typically you have to exchange these in person but my friend wasn't able to leave his store so the Director of Ops at allbirds walked over and swapped them out for me! Now my BF can get his shoes in time for Christmas you guys rock!!! read more

Really cute pop-up. They are only open on the weekends so that was a bummer. I like the whole genius bar type set-up to get your shoes and to try them out and an individual store clerk to help you and stay with you throughout the process. They were really comfortable shoes, but it was just way to packed in there for me to really do anything. I'll try and come on another weekend right when they open to grab a new pair. GREAT SHOES!! Previously an e-tailer only, Allbirds now has a store in Soho! Cool little store with a human sized hamster wheel in the back haha. Extremely comfortable shoes, both the runners and the slip-ons. And for $95 a pair, it's pretty damn hard to beat. Simple, clean, comfortable shoes. Great for walking around NYC or even the occasional run (wouldn't be my every day running shoe though). read more

Do not get gift certificates from this store...OMG what a freaking nightmare. My darling son gave his parents gift certificates for Christmas. Nice shoes but really, the store screwed up issuing 2 cards that were paid for and it was such a complicated and unnecessary mess and sign of simple incompetence for the darn thing to be processed. We came in to buy a pair of shoes for our mom for Mother's Day and were greatly disappointed by the customer service. The woman with multi-colored hair who was assisting with retrieving sizes was very rude and unhelpful. We understand that the store was busy, but that is no excuse to treat your customers poorly. While walking around Soho, we noticed so many people carrying shopping bags of this brand so we decided to pop in to check them out. My teenager son raves about their reputation so tried a few pieces. Their shoes are light as feathers. Although we didn't purchase during the visit, we were extremely impressed with their staff members. They were extremely friendly, professional and patient. Even when we announced that nothing worked out, they were really cool about it and sent us off with nice greetings. This is the kind of business I would like to return to. read more

ordered on March 16th on line. said the item was in stock. Website says they will arrive in 5 days. Waited 8 days, no shoes. Called was told they would be shipped next day. I explained I needed these soon as I was traveling and wanted to wear them a few days before. told they fully understood. Waited until April 2nd no shoes. they said they were not sure why I was told they would ship out next day when they don't have them in stock. Again explained I needed them promptly. they offered $20 off for inconvience and said they had more coming in next few days. Yesterday April 13th I cancelled my order after seeing on line they don't expect them in for quite awhile. They never let me know what was going on but they had promptly charged my credit card the day after I ordered even though they had no product to sell. Very untruthful people. Just tried to snow me every time I called. They never called me or e mailed me except on the last day when I called to cancel. Don't think I would want to try to deal with these people if there was any problem with the product after. read more

I'm incredibly impressed with Allbirds' customer service. I got a wool pair that felt right in the store but were uncomfortably tight when I started using them. To the point where I only wore them a few times and chalked it up as a lost cause. 3 months into it I mentioned this to the friend who'd first recommended Allbirds and he said to ask them for an exchange, even though it was well beyond the 1 month return/exchange limit. They graciously accommodated my request and now I have a pair of comfy Tree Runners that I know I'll be wearing regularly. And I'll definitely be telling all my friends. Also feels good knowing Allbirds donates lightly worn shoes to a very good cause. Thank you customer service! read more

The store is fine just a normal store , customer service is really awful, they ask for a picture of the problem , then comeback about two hours later and say that a team has looked at the picture and you must have tripped , won't let you talk to a manager , won't listen or care to resolve, just offer 20 bucks off a new pair. 95+95-20= a lot of money for one pair of shoes that have no warranty read more
