Sympathy card after my baby passed.
    Rosa D.

I've brought all of my pets here starting with my first cat who no one could diagnose, but Dr Grossbard did. Then I brought my first dog who had malignant cancer but survived thanks to Dr Grossbard. When my other cat passed recently, I took him to an emergency room and they let the Allcare Team know about his passing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Allcare sent me a beautiful card with handwritten notes inside from the staff and it was one of the kindest gestures I've received.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I will forever go to Allcare and Dr Grossbard because I trust that they care and take the time to diagnose properly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

A young Cisco during our first days in the house.
    Edward Jonathan D.

Our Baby Boy Cisco was a patient here for 12.5 years. It wasn't a smooth start but I trusted Dr. Jeremy because he was starting out at the time and I felt like I believed in him. He truly cared for our boy and he cared for my family. He saw Cisco grow from a Pup to an Old Man and I felt Dr. Jeremy was invested in his care the whole way. It was very hard to write my thank yous to this Clinic because it was so emotional, I will provide that thank you soon. I admit, they are understaffed, and it does take time. But you will get unconditional care from Dr. Jeremy and this staff. We stayed here for a lot of years for a reason. My Cisco loved to visit and I'm going to miss it. I recommend this Vet, Dr. Jeremy, and all his transparency and honesty through the years, for over a decade.

    RIP Neo

What is the cost for a wellness check for kitten?

    $110

    Are you accepting new clients?

Thank you for your inquiry. Although we are not currently accepting new clients, we plan to open appointments to new clients in mid to late January 2023.

Do you do dental scaling for dogs without anesthesia? If yes, may I ask how much for my 35 lb dog.?

We do require anesthesia for this type of procedure. We feel that without a pet being under anesthesia we would not be able to do a thorough job of scraping plaque and tartar from under the gums. And therefore while the teeth will look clean, we…

Scheduling was easy, the staff was friendly, and overall we had a positive experience, aside from about $500 in recommended services that I declined. My dog was originally seen for an anal gland expression and two vaccinations. She has anxiety and knocked over a staff member during the first visit, so the clinic recommended Trazodone and Acepromazine for future appointments. I followed their advice, and our next visits went smoothly. A year later, I called to schedule another appointment and was surprised to be told they no longer wanted to see my dog. I wasn't given an explanation, but when I requested her records, I saw she had been labeled as aggressive. This had never been an issue at Claremont Vet Hospital. The lack of transparency was disappointing, especially since my dog was due for routine vaccinations. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this clinic for owners of large, anxious dogs that require extra handling, even when medicated.

Sadly, Dr. Randle moved to another practice and my friend starting taking her dog there. I decided to stay at Pacifica Pet Hospital because I feel like they are always open and honest about their charges and don't ever feel like I'm being ripped off. Now Ranger sees Dr. Choi and I really like him. He takes the time to explain issues/findings to us, answers our questions thoroughly and always friendly and professional. The staff members at Pacifica Pet are wonderful, too. Whether on the phone or in-person, I'm greeted with a smile and helpfulness. Ranger, on the other hand, absolutely dreads visiting the vet! He tries to escape through the front door every time we visit. This totally reminds me of my kids when they were little visiting the pediatrician for vaccines.

I was concerned about something that should have been an easy fix. I was actually told to go to Costco to get the prescription instead. You would think that they would just do the most basic things for your pets that you brought them in for. Nope. They don't care about your pet. They care about dollars. Ridiculous. What a waste of time, money, and especially my dog's comfort.

Our senior dog woke up with an infected eye, and when I called, they were able to see her the same day. From the very beginning, the experience was completely different from what we were used to. We were met in the parking lot, welcomed warmly, and immediately felt cared for. The entire staff was kind, calm, and attentive -- and the vet was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. She spent real time with us, not only addressing the eye issue but also talking through our dog's overall health, answering questions, and making sure we felt informed and reassured. It never felt rushed. We previously went to Banfield and were often left feeling like just another number -- with our dog spending hours in a kennel for what should have been a simple visit. This experience was the exact opposite: personal, compassionate, and genuinely refreshing. We are so, so happy we made the switch and feel relieved knowing our senior dog is now in such good hands. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a vet who truly cares -- about both pets and their people.

I like the doctor (Thea) and I like the place but getting things like prescriptions is like pulling teeth. I understand they want you to get everything through their supplier so they get a cut of the money. Problem is the huge markup in price. I was given a prescription for my cat's high blood pressure the price was around 150 bucks. Online at other places it was 120 bucks. So I of course want to save money so I had to try repeatedly to get a prescription and then ordering online was a whole new nightmare. Most check with the vet to send the prescription but they don't reply to any emails or calls, good luck ordering from amazon the vet will not answer them. Then I find the compounder and the price is 70. It all was taken care of eventually and i now get the generic for 70 but it was way too much work for me and my wife to get done. Also with the special food my cat needed. Very difficult to take care of. I like my doctor there but there is an underlying greed there that causes things to be far more difficult than they should be. I will give a 3 because i like Thea. Not even gonna mention the one time i had the other doctor and they ran a test that had my cat in serious health trouble and was gonna be very expensive and I was gonna put my cat down because of the expense it would have been. Went back to Thea to double check (at my cost) and the test was back to what it always was (double the number given previously). So that is a huge red flag as well. Probably gonna try and find another vet next time, which is unfortunate. But there are trust issues for me at this point. Giving two because rereading my review makes me feel it should be two.
