Been going here for about a year now and I've been content with the way my animals have been treated. I do wish we were allowed inside with our pets. Everyone's nice and we see dr.Wilson and he's great.

I'm sorry, but while I can somewhat understand the doing the waiting in the parking lot thing at the beginning of Covid, when everyone was freaking out. I can't understand why they're still doing it. It's moronic. The way a veterinarian visit is supposed to work is that you bring your pet in for an exam, you sit in the examination room with the vet or vet's assistant, and you go over your concerns with them. While the staff is friendly enough, I can't go here any longer due to this backwards policy.

Thank you Linda Mar Vet Hospital.

Sadly, my wiener dog, Max, of almost 17 years passed away a few weeks ago, and his passing was quite traumatic. He was diagnosed with kidney failure from another vet, and just the night before his death he was in that vet's care and told us he had 1-3 months to live. That night, he deteriorated quickly. He couldn't walk, started losing his bowels, vomiting, and we knew the end was coming soon. The next morning, I came home early from work because I knew that he wouldn't be with us for much longer. As soon as I got home, he looked terrible. I knew it was time. I picked him up and held him and kissed him. He seized in my arms, and at that point we knew (well thought) he was gone. I don't know if you've ever seen an animal pass away without euthanasia, but.. they're just there. This seems creepy but their eyes are open, and even if you try to close them they won't, so we thought he was gone at that point. We couldn't feel any heartbeat. We ran down to Linda Mar Vet (which is down the hill from us), and someone came out to see us immediately, e without calling beforehand. The vet came out instantly and was super kind and understanding, and took Max inside. She came back a few minutes later to let us know he still had a very faint, weak heartbeat but we knew we needed to put him to rest. She took him to get him ready, but as soon as she put the catheter in his arm he passed away. Everyone was so incredibly sweet, helpful, and supportive. They had no issues with our family members visiting over the next few hours to say goodbye to our baby. Thank you Linda Mar Vet for your compassion and flexibility during this difficult time. If I get another animal, I'll definitely be coming here. :)

Absolutely phenomenal care! I take great comfort in knowing that Dr. Cucaro and her team are in charge of my fur baby's care.

Lab tests are highway robbery. Go somewhere else. Gigantic ripoff IMO. $488 for one battery of blood tests.

Scheduling was easy, the staff was friendly, and overall we had a positive experience, aside from about $500 in recommended services that I declined. My dog was originally seen for an anal gland expression and two vaccinations. She has anxiety and knocked over a staff member during the first visit, so the clinic recommended Trazodone and Acepromazine for future appointments. I followed their advice, and our next visits went smoothly. A year later, I called to schedule another appointment and was surprised to be told they no longer wanted to see my dog. I wasn't given an explanation, but when I requested her records, I saw she had been labeled as aggressive. This had never been an issue at Claremont Vet Hospital. The lack of transparency was disappointing, especially since my dog was due for routine vaccinations. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this clinic for owners of large, anxious dogs that require extra handling, even when medicated.

Sadly, Dr. Randle moved to another practice and my friend starting taking her dog there. I decided to stay at Pacifica Pet Hospital because I feel like they are always open and honest about their charges and don't ever feel like I'm being ripped off. Now Ranger sees Dr. Choi and I really like him. He takes the time to explain issues/findings to us, answers our questions thoroughly and always friendly and professional. The staff members at Pacifica Pet are wonderful, too. Whether on the phone or in-person, I'm greeted with a smile and helpfulness. Ranger, on the other hand, absolutely dreads visiting the vet! He tries to escape through the front door every time we visit. This totally reminds me of my kids when they were little visiting the pediatrician for vaccines.

I like the doctor (Thea) and I like the place but getting things like prescriptions is like pulling teeth. I understand they want you to get everything through their supplier so they get a cut of the money. Problem is the huge markup in price. I was given a prescription for my cat's high blood pressure the price was around 150 bucks. Online at other places it was 120 bucks. So I of course want to save money so I had to try repeatedly to get a prescription and then ordering online was a whole new nightmare. Most check with the vet to send the prescription but they don't reply to any emails or calls, good luck ordering from amazon the vet will not answer them. Then I find the compounder and the price is 70. It all was taken care of eventually and i now get the generic for 70 but it was way too much work for me and my wife to get done. Also with the special food my cat needed. Very difficult to take care of. I like my doctor there but there is an underlying greed there that causes things to be far more difficult than they should be. I will give a 3 because i like Thea. Not even gonna mention the one time i had the other doctor and they ran a test that had my cat in serious health trouble and was gonna be very expensive and I was gonna put my cat down because of the expense it would have been. Went back to Thea to double check (at my cost) and the test was back to what it always was (double the number given previously). So that is a huge red flag as well. Probably gonna try and find another vet next time, which is unfortunate. But there are trust issues for me at this point. Giving two because rereading my review makes me feel it should be two.

I started bringing my dog here to address his luxating patella. We came up with a plan to start shockwave therapy and water treadmill therapy and supplements. We've had two appointments out of the five of the package we purchased. He's much more comfortable with all the staff and treatments now. The first two shockwave treatments are done with the doctors to assess and develop a treatment plan, and the following treatments are done with a certified therapist. Everyone has been so kind to my dog that he loves coming here. And not just for the human grade cheese he's given to do the exercises!! We were also given a comprehensive List of physical therapy movements and stretches to do at home. It's too soon to tell if the treatment is working well, but we have high hopes with this clinic! It takes us about 3 hours of traffic to get to and from this clinic, but it's such a gem. They provide towels and blowdryers and snacks for the water treadmill work. We opted to not try the injection as my dog is scared of shots, who isn't really?! The doctor was so kind to provide us with a another supplement option, which we have started. They check in to see how he's doing at the start of every appointment and tailor the session to his needs. We opted to not go through insurance, but they can help out with paperwork if you do so. Well worth it to learn non invasive techniques to rehab your beloved pups. Can't wait to see my little baby become stronger with these amazing professionals!
