Been going here for about a year now and I've been content with the way my animals have been treated. I do wish we were allowed inside with our pets. Everyone's nice and we see dr.Wilson and he's great.

I'm sorry, but while I can somewhat understand the doing the waiting in the parking lot thing at the beginning of Covid, when everyone was freaking out. I can't understand why they're still doing it. It's moronic. The way a veterinarian visit is supposed to work is that you bring your pet in for an exam, you sit in the examination room with the vet or vet's assistant, and you go over your concerns with them. While the staff is friendly enough, I can't go here any longer due to this backwards policy.

Thank you Linda Mar Vet Hospital.

Sadly, my wiener dog, Max, of almost 17 years passed away a few weeks ago, and his passing was quite traumatic. He was diagnosed with kidney failure from another vet, and just the night before his death he was in that vet's care and told us he had 1-3 months to live. That night, he deteriorated quickly. He couldn't walk, started losing his bowels, vomiting, and we knew the end was coming soon. The next morning, I came home early from work because I knew that he wouldn't be with us for much longer. As soon as I got home, he looked terrible. I knew it was time. I picked him up and held him and kissed him. He seized in my arms, and at that point we knew (well thought) he was gone. I don't know if you've ever seen an animal pass away without euthanasia, but.. they're just there. This seems creepy but their eyes are open, and even if you try to close them they won't, so we thought he was gone at that point. We couldn't feel any heartbeat. We ran down to Linda Mar Vet (which is down the hill from us), and someone came out to see us immediately, e without calling beforehand. The vet came out instantly and was super kind and understanding, and took Max inside. She came back a few minutes later to let us know he still had a very faint, weak heartbeat but we knew we needed to put him to rest. She took him to get him ready, but as soon as she put the catheter in his arm he passed away. Everyone was so incredibly sweet, helpful, and supportive. They had no issues with our family members visiting over the next few hours to say goodbye to our baby. Thank you Linda Mar Vet for your compassion and flexibility during this difficult time. If I get another animal, I'll definitely be coming here. :)

Absolutely phenomenal care! I take great comfort in knowing that Dr. Cucaro and her team are in charge of my fur baby's care.

Lab tests are highway robbery. Go somewhere else. Gigantic ripoff IMO. $488 for one battery of blood tests.

Sometimes longer to get a room. While I do think that this isn't entirely their fault since afternoons/evenings seems busy (hard to even find a waiting room seat), I do feel that it's worth noting that the time that the vet is actually examining my pet feels so rushed. After waiting almost an hour, I get about 5 minutes tops of a vet talking at me about all the vague possibilities that I could've guessed myself. Most of the vets I've seen thus far have been nice but have all given me "could be/maybe" answers and haven't tried to find further answers when I brought my pet in for a fever and sickness. They ran tests and basically didnt find answers and sent me home to monitor...I genuinely thought my pet was dying and they essentially gave me the google list of possibilities and said "well if they seem to be getting better over time then great!" Which, sure, but I wanted more advocation for my pet so I can prevent this from happening again...I essentially had to tell the doctor...um my pet had a fever and vomiting and despite tests being negative, I'm pretty sure those are signs of infection...if they arent eating or acting like they usually do, couldnt a course of antibiotics be helpful to rule out the possibilty? and the doctor basically said, "yeah i guess you're right a fever could probably be helped with some antibiotics. let's do that!" Not to mention, wildly expensive costs for treatments that they kind of tell you NEED to happen to help your pet. I paid almost $5000 dollars for some xrays and fluids and antibiotics for my pet over 3-4 visits (granted they were all urgent visits, so the exam cost was about double that of a non-urgent visit). $400 alone for a non-urgent visit, 1 test, and some meds. sad. the receptionists have been wonderful though! so props to them for handling some crazy cases and busy days (extra star for them). expect to be here for 1-4 hours depending on what your pet needs and who is available.

The staff was kind and helpful and Dr Fady is especially terrific and empathetic. He helped Oscar recover enough to get through a few more months before he had another heart failure that he couldn't recover from. We still continue to take our other dog there and only see Dr Fady unless it's something minor. Although not the cheapest vet in town, they are open 24 hours and have a pretty good size office and staff. Dr Fady is only in 3 days a week, however, but otherwise if you need someone to see your pet they are pretty accommodating and have at least one other vet and several vet techs.

My usual Vet was temporarily closed without notice due to facility issues. I was searching for some other vets to call because my dog was stung by a bee and in a lot of pain and i was seeking advice on how to tell if he was needing to come into a emergency clinic. Any dog vet, or even exotic vet as i have exotic animals, would pick up my call and give me some advice, warning signs to look out for, and if busy suggest me to a partner vet clinic or recommended facility. Whoever picked up the phone did none of this. I was simply told they are all booked for today and that they can't give any medical advice without seeing my pet. Did not even tell me at the very least a warning sign that would be pretty obvious like "Is he vomiting?" seemed to not care about me or my dog whatsoever. That is insanely disappointing i'm dumbfounded by the man who picked up the phone. Didn't even say have a nice day or hope your dog feels better, TF? Hire better employees or give them more breaks so they aren't complete jerks when on the phone. Absolutely ridiculous. I suggest taking your pet's healthcare elsewhere. Plenty of better options in the Bay Area who are happy to answer the phone and suggest to you what to do and if your pet needs to come into a clinic.
