Flight # 3771 was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my life. We had a big group and we were trying to get all of our seats situated and my daughter was in the wrong seat. I did not get her name but the female minority attendant was the most disrespectful and unprofessional person I've ever come in contact with. The Latino gentleman and the middle aged Caucasian woman were amazing. The woman I'm speaking about will be easy to point out by them as the Latino gentleman did not charge other members of our group because of how disrespectful your employee was. She was loud and invasive, she reached out as if she was to grab my daughters arm, she was not asked to help but stepped in and escalated a situation to the point where everyone in our group was extremely upset including my 5 year old daughter. I don't know who this woman was or why she has a job working with people but she is horrible. She looked to be in her 50s and like I said, the crew with her will know exactly who she was. This woman should be fired and should be banned from your airline. A simple mistake was turned into a major issue and something my daughter should never have to experience again. I have flown Allegiant Air once a month for the past 2 and a half years. Lexington, KY to Punta Gorda, FL. The good: cheap fights, the bad: 11 flight delays, the ugly: cancelled flight December 25,2022. The staff on the ground in Lexington has been very good. Conner was the BEST. The staff on the ground in Punta Gorda has been up and down. The TSA people in Punta Gorda are bullies, they are the only game in town, and they act like it. This can be fixed with better Management. What you tolerate you approve. The passenger is paying your salary. No passenger no job. The Flight Crews are as good as any in the air today. (I fly 40+ times a year with my job) Not perfect but it's a two-hour flight and they are polite and effective. The Allegiant card is a great deal if you are going to fly a lot with them. Here's my one Big Complaint: It cost $50 each way to fly my pet. Crammed under the seat in front of me. Often, I play less for my seat then the $50 for my dog. They cancelled my flight 12 hours before my departure time, provided no explanation, offered to put me on the next available flight 5 DAYS LATER, and paid me a whopping $100 dollars. Nothing else. I have a new opinion about Allegiant Airlines. My wife and I recently flew from Lexington to St. Pete. O.K. I will admit the seats were not the most comfortable and they didn't recline and very little leg room. The plane was a newer airbus A319 which is a slightly smaller version of the A320 with "cattle car seating" (six seats across front to back). So you may be asking why the five star rating? The plane was clean, ran on time and very convenient. We boarded the airplane and 1.5 hours later we were on the ground in St. Pete, it just doesn't get any better than this. No changing planes in crowded busy Atlanta, no half the day getting there. The best part of the story is the price, my wife and myself paid $ 202.00 round trip, the airline doesn't charge for checked luggage for Servicemen and Vets, also we get priority boarding, another nice perk. One star for being on time both ways. Another star for price. Other than that, don't expect customer service or pleasant flight attendants. I carried on a school backpack since it was a weekend trip, and they don't charge for a carryon that size. I flew from BWI to LEX. They have a couple flights a week for this leg. No frills, you get what you pay for. I got from point A to point B. What I was really disappointed in were the flight attendants. Both ways they were curt and seemed like they didn't enjoy their jobs and that customers were a hassle to deal with. I had interaction on both legs to ask a question about drink service and to ask about the fullness of the first flight leg. Very general questions and their response tone was really scolding. They were in their 50s/60s on both legs of the flight, if that had anything to do with it. Shrug. Grumpy people. Both legs. If you're ok with getting from point A to point B and paying a really good price for it and that is all your expectation, then fly them. (Watch hefty bag fees) I would based on my experience with them now. $75 RT from BWI to LEX is a pretty good deal. But I have experienced better service (though bar still being low) on other deep discount airlines. read more

I'll start by saying if you google Allegiant airline there's a reservation.com site that pops up as if they're affiliated with Allegiant whole time they're NOT! after trying to book my flight online 5 times my purpose of using google was to get Allegiant air phone number to book by phone instead. I spoke with a Chris who pulled all my info up as if he had access to the Allegiant screen. Chris repeated back to me the names of all the travelers so I was certain he was apart of Allegiant airs staff. COOL. so everything goes through and Chris requested that I covered all my numbers besides the last 4 on the card I booked with along with my drivers license. This was my first time booking a flight by phone so it didn't seem odd because I assumed they just wanted to be sure I was the card holder for the card I was using. So I booked a flight for a total of 5 people and a mini van through Allegiant site but rental was with Enterprise. About a week before my trip I called Enterprise to get a rough estimate on how much the insurance through them would be. Enterprise informed me that they had no reservations with me but did see one that had just recently been cancelled so of course I freaked! Then I remember Chris had given me his personal direct line in case I had any questions or concerns. Chris goes to tell me I CAN NOT contact Enterprise OR Allegiant whatsoever! He then goes to say that if I were to do so again, the $3,300 for flights and rental would resulT in a total loss! NOW IM WORRIED! Mind you when I booked my three older aunts needed wheel chair service! When we got to the airport they saw nothing about wheel chair services! So that annoyed us all! we was also told by Chris that it would be no problem that my aunt had her oxygen tank and she could fly with it. the oxygen was confiscated by TSA! the flight was terrible! take off and landing! we were on a 4 hour flight and no snacks or beverages were issued out. EVEN WATER HAD TO BE PURCHASED!!! Delta and American Airlines, hell FRONTIER would NEVER! This entire time I thought I was saving a ton by doing a bundle deal with flight and rental car. only to arrive in Vegas to enterprise and get hit with a $200 fee BEFORE insurance charges! so Allegiant doesn't tell you about the hidden fees that comes along with you thinking you're getting a deal! NEVER FLY ALLEGIANT! you even have to pay $5 for boarding passes! could you imagine doing so for flights you have layovers on so that's an extra $5... on top of there was a couple whose boarding tickets didn't work SIX times! so they went from TSA back to front desk 6 times and 7th it FINALLY worked! this airline is definitely a soul plane! Never again #allegiantair ! We sat on a hot plane yesterday for almost 2 hrs and the terminal another 1.5 hrs waiting your decision. All with a 15 month old. Skipped the voucher line since there was a line of 130 people and 1 employee working the kiosk. Drove another hr back home. Waited by the phone all night for an email advising when our flight will leave today. Finally at 2am an email advising our flight leaves at 649pm!!! 649pm when our original flight was 340pm the previous day. 649pm with a 15 month old who's bedtime is 7!!! We now are going to miss 2 full days of our vacation!!! And I'm not confident we'll leave on time tomorrow! So never again #allegiantair !! Not worth the little money saved. read more

I was nervous to fly Allegiant because I mean it's a discount airline and there are some bad news reports. However in my case and my flights everything went smoothly and I had zero issues. I was able to pick my seats at flight check in (which I always do the day before). I also picked my boarding zone for a small fee just to make my experience smoother. I definitely would fly again if it was the best deal and available at the airports I require. I will say my only complaint and worry would be take off and landing were super noisy and shaky which made me extremely nervous. But hey we made it and we always landed early! read more

My Father had been sick for 4 weeks i live in Florida and have a home in Kentucky. My Father passed on July 6th .so I booked my flight home at which time has been DELAYED for hours now. After asking the person at the counter at 7:50 Which I was told by the person that the plane was in Madison County which is not far from Lexington. That the Plane would Arrive in 10 minutes. It is now 9:07 still no plane. Now we are supposed to board @ 10:30 and was told they where low on fuel and had to go to Cincinnati or CVG AIRPORT for refueling. And when they come to my restaurant, I'll ask them to clear and clean their own tables. They REFUSED to seat me with my 4 year old on a flight from Las Vegas to Cincinnati. There were multpile passangers willing to switch seats so that my son and I could aot together. The flight attendant rudely told us we couldnt move because it would cause a security issue....???? Even worse the only response the corporate office gave was , We apologize, we will inform our training team. I am shocked that this took place first of all and that they failed in regards to offer compensation. Now on our return flight, we've been delayed for almost 24 hours without any furthur information. While we were given a hotel comp last night, we had to pay over $110 for cab fair bc the hotel was in Indiana. We are told we will be reimbursed for that. We were also given $100 flight credit...I dont even want it. The torture Ive endoured not sitting with my 4 year old is a disgrace that this company exists. I understand mechamical things happen. But plane #1 didnt have AC and plane #2 has a fuel leak...Im missing work and other people are missing their vacations due to a lack of quality. According to Allegiants Refund policy: If a refund is due (including a refund of fees charged for optional services that the passenger is unable to use due to an oversale situation or flight cancellation), Allegiant will make the refund via the original form of payment. Refunds for fares purchased with a debit or credit card will be processed for crediting-back to the same card account no later than seven (7) business days from the date the full documentation of the refund request is received by Carrier. This is total BS. They are only giving me a $265 voucher for balance after they rape me for over $500 for cancelling a flight 3 months in advance. Voucher is only good for 12 months after I initially made reservation in February 2017. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone and am looking to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well as a Consumer complaint with KY Attorney General's office. read more

You get what you pay for. I have utilized Allegiant Air a couple times. I have never had an issue. One flight leaving Vegas to go to Cinci was delayed an hour due to de-icing the plane in Cinci, which made sense. I have a military ID so I do not pay for my baggage or boarding passes. Thus, the I don't deal with a lot of the small add on fees, which there are a ton. The planes themselves are older and do not have any amenities, including the complimentary drink or snack for a 4 hour flight. They do have things available for a purchase though. Again, if you just want to get from point A to B, then who cares if you don't get 2 ounces of pretzels. They do not have Wifi on their plane, but again Allegiant Air is all about budget. So, prepare to take a greyhound bus with wings, skip all the fees and pack light, and it's worth it to get out of Kentucky. Also, to those stating issues about not being seated with a child. That's actually illegal. I never paid to have my children seated next to me, and they always were since a minor of that age has to be accompanied while traveling. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This airline has no respect for customers and has absolutely horrible customer service! We, a family of 2 adults and 3 toddlers have traveled to Cincinnati, OH for Thanksgiving, and we used Allegiant for our return flight to Fort Lauderdale, FL. The flight was at 4:06PM and we arrived 2 hours earlier for check-in. When we got to the counter, the lady there told us that we have to check in through an app. As first-time customers, we were not aware of this (and we were not informed at all when we booked the flight) and asked the lady if she can check us in at the counter. She replied with a rather rude attitude that they will have to charge $5 per person to print the boarding passes at the counter. Also, the lady did not even try to check in our suitcase because their luggage check-in was already "closed". And while she was explaining this, we just decided to download the app because we wanted to avoid trouble. We downloaded and tried checking in. The app then tells us the check-in feature is closed, so we told the lady about that. She replied again, rudely, that they have to close all system at 2:45 and they won't be able to check us in through the app or at the counter anymore. We were shocked, and asked if they can do anything about it. The lady brought another lady who looked like a manager and she repeated the same thing. They cannot do anything, it's the system, they cannot offer any options. We have 3 toddlers and we were devastated. We had returned our rental car and had nowhere to stay, they told us to just get rid of our suitcase because they cannot check them in, and they just closed the check-in right in our faces and did not even try to offer any solutions. We ended up paying double the price to re-schedule our flight for $75 per person (including the toddlers) for the next day and paid an extra $50 to check in 1 suitcase. I truly regret booking with this airline and would certainly NOT recommend it to anyone. We have already sent our complaints through their "customer service" but they have not gotten back to us yet. read more

This airline feels that because they offer cheaper flights they can devalue the time of their passengers. The last three flights in a row we have flown with Allegiant have had significant delays. If a flight is delayed over four or five hours they offer $8 meal vouchers for airports where you can't find a meal offered for less than $13. They don't provide communication on why the plane is being delayed but when we asked it has usually been a lack of crew after an airplane has been found to have maintenance issues. What you save in money on flights you will spend at the airport with snacks, meals, and drinks not to mention time and energy. If you are traveling with small children you should avoid this airline at all costs. read more

My family of 7 had our flight from Cincinnati to Austin was cancelled due to maintenance and the airline was only able to offer a flight five days later. The gate attendants were very rude and unhelpful to the extent of not even offering their name for assistance. The only help offered was to go to another airline. We travel frequently and this was THE worst service I have ever experienced.. never again. I would avoid this airline, several people on the flight were crying because they had no other options to get home. Unbelievable, zero star rating if it was available. Addendum: i need to make a correction. I will receive the $300/ticket by us mail in 7-10 business days for the inconvenience of this cancelled flight. what i've received so far is the refund for the cost of the tickets. i was on hold 70 minutes to get this part of it straight. actually, it was on the emai sent me after the flight cancellation, but it wasn't clear to me. I drove the 70 miles from my home to Lexington, KY to board a flight to Ft Lauderdale. It was important I get this flight as the next morning I was to fly a different carrier from Lauderdale, to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. While waiting for flight announcement came that flight was cancelled with no rebooking options. Never in my 30 years of flying have I heard that. The Line 2 hours long back at check in counter to come up with new plan, as I was, of course, worried I would miss my flight to Port-au-Prince, Haiti (PAP). I saw a lone agent at American airline counter nearby and went over there to arrange a new flight following morning on American. Was told I would receive a full refund(which i did) but also told I would receive $300/ticket for the inconvience of this cancellation. I received less than this. In fact, as I write this I've been on hold for over 40 minutes trying to speak with someone at Allegiant about this issue. To add insult to injury, upon returning from Ft lauderdale (after week in Haiti) to Lexington, KY they charged me $5/ticket to get my boarding passes as I didn't get them online. I explained I was in a third world country and had no access to any online connections, but they made no concession. My conclusions: 1) as they only fly a few times a week from Lexington (and my guess is the same applies to other departure cities) to Lauderdale I would recommend you NOT use this airline if making your flight is crucial. they don't have support to provide alternative solutions if your flight is cancelled, and it may take days before another flight is available. if you are very flexible, than this may not be an issue. 2) the discounted fees you see on internet are misleading, once you start to reserve a ticket online. the first question asked is if you want a seat. I thought I already paid for that, but you have not. You get charged for actually reserving a seat, your carry on ( i believe, though not sure) and certainly your checked bag. There is a charge for all beverages on plane, includintg bottled water. I would have been better off flying another carrier, and paid little more at the end of the day, say with Southwest, American, or Delta. 3) Customer service is non-existant. If you run into a problem, watch out. I love Allegiant. People who complain about bag fees or seating options probably need to READ the instructions, the airline doesn't work the way you think it should just because you want it to. Yes they charge extra for everything but the basics (literally just a seat somewhere on the plane and room for a small bag under the seat in front of you), but if you can comprehend they aren't going to let you pick your seat for free and your free bag has to comply with their size requirements it's the best deal going. I've flown with them several times a year for the past 10 years and the $300 I save every trip and the hours saved on travel time are worth not getting a free half can of Coke etc. Once I was delayed several hours but every other time I've been on the ground at my destination a few minutes early. I flew about three months ago round trip from Cincinnati, OH to Austin, TX and had no problems. I was excited when I booked my round trip from Cincinnati, OH to Ft. Lauderdale only to be negatively surprised. This time, on the way to FL, the airline stewardess was condescending and rude when I asked if my cousin could trade seats. She spoke to me as if I was a young child. To top it off, on the flight back to Cincinnati, the stewardesses were unbelievably unprofessional. I sat in the second to last row and could hear them talking about their relationships and other unprofessional topics. People sitting around me were in shock and looking around to see if other passengers were hearing the same things they were. During turbulence, the stewardesses thought it would be a good time to have a jumping jacks contest in the back of the plane. For someone who doesn't fly easily, it was awful to be nervous from turbulence- and then have them in the back jumping up and down. It is unfortunate though, because the captain was funny and nice as can be. I wish that he had better flight attendants to represent him. read more
