    Heed the warnings - the money saved on this joke of an airline is simply not worth it. On-time flights are the rare exception, not the rule. Your flight is guaranteed to be delayed, if not cancelled. My son and his friends had reservations in Las Vegas from Thursday-Sunday. Two hours before their departure out of Stockton, they received a notification that their flight was cancelled. Not wanting to lose out on the money they spent on the hotel, they scrambled and found a flight on Southwest out of San Francisco. They piled in and rushed to get to SFO on time, hoping that their return flight would at least be safe. No such luck. Again, a couple of hours before their 1:00 departure, a notification arrived saying the flight was delayed. Ok, fine - they could handle a one-hour delay. HA! By 4:00 they were finally told they could board. And there they stayed, parked on the tarmac for another THREE HOURS. No one seemed to be able to tell them how long the delay would be, or if the flight would be cancelled. The staff tried to appease them by passing out expired snacks. It was over 100 degrees outside and close to that inside the plane with no AC. To say that everyone was miserable and cranky would be an understatement. You might save a few dollars, but you will pay for it with grief and stress. It's frustrating for those of us in the Central Valley that the closest airport contracts with this garbage airline. Save yourself the headache and book with a more reputable airline.

    This happened to me, and if you look at their track record, it happens quite a bit. Delays and/or cancelations!

    I needed a last minute flight to Las Vegas and this airline came up from my search results. I thought to myself, "never heard of it, but how bad can it be?". If you're thinking the same thing, behold, I will share it to you. The check-in - it went smooth here as the airline has a mobile app you can use to do this The boarding process - they actually verify the group number on your boarding pass The flight - in the first 30 mins, we didn't fly as we apparently had a mechanical problem and they needed a part that needs to be delivered. Fine, but why let us board? The crew didn't turn on the AC until after 1 hour (everyone was sweating and some were trying to get near the door). They finally turned it on for 5 mins (and off again) when it looked like they've received the part they needed. The part didn't work so they can't turn on the engine. After a grueling 1.5 hours, we got off the plane (de boarded). They only offered free sodas (crazy). Delays - for the entire night and they decided to cancel the flight until the next morning. As for me, I decided to cancel my vacation, but a lot of people were buying really expensive flights near the end. They will barely help you. Choose a different airline next time (pay a bit more) so this doesn't happen to you. If you search online, this airline has a string of maintenance and safety issues that I now know and would not fly with. Thanks for reading and have a safe flight!

    Waiting on an employee to check us in for our flight since 5:30 that boards  at 7:30 plus customs. They are living up to their reputation!!

    The saga continues, no clerk to check in until 7:30 for a 8:30 flight. When at gate 7, told to go to gate 8, then we were brought back to fate 8. So, 8:45 hangin at gate 7, go figure, now there are mechanical issues! To be continued...... Continuing much sooner than I thought! 2 min ago after I wrote the above, announcement , " major mechanical issues, we have called in a rescue plane, there will now be a 4hr delay" all us passengers groan and curse. Then immediately after,"my apologies, we have been informed this plane will be boarding in 10 minutes" ummmm, do we get on this plane? Not feeling very confident about our safety!!

Needless to say I'd had quite the opposite experience!!! I came in at 9 on Sunday with no life at the desk, walked up to Jasmine who was nice enough to let me know my bag was ok as a carry on. I made it through security with no line at all and to the gate just in time to have a beer and a burrito. The plane and employees on it where just like any other for any other airline I've been on, I didn't have one bad experience. My seat was clean ( window seat) and no one was in the middle seat!!! For the price and experience I'll take this anytime!!! I'm definitely coming back again. Thank you tot he staff for making this enjoyable experience and definitely proving some of these negative comments wrong.

So I guess it makes it easier to just board and get off. I mean I fly Monday and come back Thursday every week, Spirit Airlines never disappoints me.

What happened next just blew me away and made me a Southwest customer for life. * At the Customer Service station in Vegas, the kind Southwest lady booked me on the next direct flight to Oakland at no additional charge. * My baggage didn't make the direct flight to Oakland but the super nice Customer Service lady at Oakland Airport (shout out to Jamina) processed my baggage report and made sure I was alerted when my bag arrived on the next flight which was in about an hour. * Southwest gave me a $150 credit for my troubles. * Southwest refunded my $35 baggage charge. Matt says if you are traveling, be sure to check out Southwest. Their professional attention to the customer is superior to any other airline I've flown with.

Checking a bag was a breeze in the priority lane, and the regular line wasn't super long, but there were people even at that hour. Boarding was also smooth with the numbered zones and assigned seating. The Oakland gate areas are super small thought with a limited amount of seating. I'd imagine on a busy travel day, working your way to your gate could be an issue. It's probably the least appealing gate area of any Southwest terminal I've been in. Luckily, I wasn't there long.

There was a point where the chat session timed out while the reservation was in progress. What I appreciated most was that the next representative reviewed the conversation and picked up where the previous agent left off. That continuity meant a great deal and helped make a sensitive process much easier to manage. I also highly recommend having a SkyMiles account. Being a member seemed to make the process smoother and more personalized, and in moments like this, that added convenience really matters. Out of SJC, SFO, and OAK, Delta has the smallest presence in Oakland. Currently, Oakland only operates to Salt Lake City on a regular basis, with seasonal flights to Atlanta during the summer. Delta used to fly to Los Angeles from Oakland, but they recently axed that service. I used to fly the Oakland-Los Angeles route all the time with Delta - so I'm pretty sad that they discontinued this route. However, from past experiences, Delta has resumed the LAX route from Oakland on various occasions... so yes, I am hopeful they'll resume this route one day. As a Delta medallion member, it's fairly easy to get upgraded from Oakland airport. Fewer elite members fly from Oakland. Understandably though, as there the routings are limited. Regardless of this, service has continued to be friendly and quick. If I ever need to be routed via SLC, I'll be sure to fly with Delta.

She made things REALLY easy for me; this made me feel comfortable bc I was not going to be on the actual ride and wanted to make sure my team was taken care of. Feedback from my team leader was that the driver, Lydia, was prompt, friendly and drove safely. Whew, I'm so glad this all worked out. I would definitely recommend CLS Global Transportation Inc.
