Sooo way ahead of LVHN... Very friendly people, no 5 minute telephone labyrinths followed by a bar-age of unrelated questions just to find a simple answer. the employees are more comfortable to deal with, it is not difficult to get in touch with this MRI center, and once you do, the answers are direct without an act of congress. MRI's are of good quality, and easy to attain copies. Unlike LVHN, they do not over charge for an MRI co-pay, as well as not charging extra if you want the MRI read. Yes, LVHN charges for the MRI, then a separate charge for the doctor to read the MRI before it is sent out. This is now (as well as a few of my doctors) goto for any MRI needs. read more

I came to Allentown Diagnostic imaging last week and upon arriving I was greeting by the lovely front desk staff. I filled out my paperwork and not more than 5 minutes I was called back to get my MRI. I have to admit I am a little claustrophobic but after telling the women who was doing my mri, she made me feel so comfortable and I immediately felt calm! I like this location too!! I think it is very convenient being on Tilghman St, it's close to a lot of other doctors offices. I'm glad that I came here and will come here for any scans I might need in the future. read more

I used to work for LVHN and honestly, I never experienced an atmosphere where patients and employees seemed this happy, especially after covid! It was much less expensive to come here but I am glad that I had the opportunity to do so. read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about this MRI facility. I am very claustrophobic and usually have to go to a hospital and go under general anesthesia in order to get into the MRI machine. I made an appointment at open air MRI Allentown and they let me come in and try the machines to see if I would be comfortable in them. I thought that was very professional. This was a first time in a long time that I actually had an MRI of my head without any sedation at all. The staff was very friendly and help me to get over my fear of claustrophobia. I would definitely recommend this facility not only because of the staff but also because of the Advanced Equipment that they use. My experience with the imaging and technician was absolutely professional and comfortable. I had a very good experience while getting several ultra sounds. However, they failed to provide a CD with the images on it during the day of service, like it states in the paperwork I signed. A few days later, my primary care physician called them to tell them I would be picking a CD up. When I arrived later that day, neither of the two girls in the office knew about the request. They were unable to burn a CD for me on the spot. I was told to come back the following day. I returned the next day and was handed a CD and the girl said "everything is on there" but she didn't double check. Low and behold, I arrived at the obgyn office only to find the images were not on there. Now, it's possible they didn't know how to operate the program that shows the images. I didn't have time to check the CD myself prior to the appointment since I was forced to pick it up on my way. Either way it's frustrating, because one of the two medical professionals didn't know how to do their job. (Either the CD maker or the CD reader...) Also, the receptionist was being negligent by telling me information she did not, for a fact, know to be true. She even told me they burned it for me the night before but I knew that was untrue since I was at the office the night before and was turned away. Clearly it was made in the morning. Not a big deal except she was just making stuff up. Please train your people not to just make up information. Since I have appointments with other specialists, I still needed a CD. I called and explained, and they were very nice and able to make me a new one. No issue here. (except now it's my 4th time at the office to obtain a CD) When I arrived to pick it up, I was kindly reminded that any future copies would cost me $25. In my opinion, $25 for a 2 cent CD that takes 5 minutes to burn is excessive. You should pay me $25 for driving to your office 4 times. SUGGESTION FOR IMPROVEMENT: It's 2018. Why are you burning CDs? Make files available on a portal or cloud drive that the patient or health care provider can log into! Or email them upon request. I don't see why this would be an issue as long as the appropriate release form is signed. I would have loved to just email you directly about this issue, but you do not provide adaquate contact information on your "under construction" web page. read more
