I have driven by this place for years and never tried them. Well I seen their ad in the paper and gave them a try and I'm glad I did. I ordered take out and it was ready when I got there. The 2lb lobster was broiled perfectly, tender moist and delicious. The porterhouse steak was cooked medium rare and was also perfectly cooked and to top it off both are specials and sold at a very reasonable price. If you want a delicious reasonably priced lobster or seafood meal, this is the place to go. The meals come with a large nice, fresh salad and a round hot loaf of the best bread ever! Not the fanciest place but decent. The only drawback to me is the various servers at times are rude, rushed and abrupt. But the lobsters and large seafood dishes easily make up for that! read more

Great people. Kathy and her granddaughter waited on us. They were very friendly, professional and made us feel at home. I had the garlic ribeye. It was wonderful. The rainbow cake disappeared in ten seconds. Yum. My mom and 13 year old son loved everything as well. I highly recommend that you visit this family run restaurant. Went yesterday. Looking forward to getting their "famous" $24 two pound lobster. Got their at four. No sign of life. Called their number and was told by the person running it that she'd be a little late. Got in at about four twenty something. Came here for the second time after an awesome first experience a while back. My father introduced me to this restaurant and I will continue to bring more friends and family here to experience it as well. I can't say enough about this place. It feels like you're eating a home cooked meal at a family gathering. It just feels like home to me. Nice and quiet atmosphere, good portion sizes. Salad dressings were so good, the bread came out fresh and literally steaming. My husband ordered the duck with the raspberry sauce and he absolutely loved it and raved about it. I ordered the chicken francese which was incredible!! The food was sooooo good. Can't wait to try everything else next time. Then for desert we got cappuccino and some sort of peanut butter desert which was so delicious omg! The whole experience was just awesome from start to finish. We passed this restaurant many times always saying we have to try that place. We went last night and was pleasantly surprised. The servers were very nice giving us plenty of time to look ant the menu. My wife had the roast duck which was good, very few places offer duck on the menu so she was happy. I had the broiled seafood combo and it was very good. I have read some negative reviews of this restaurant and do not understand were these people were really eating because this is definitely a place I would return to. I gave 4 stars because this was our first visit, but won't be our last. Went back tonight for the second. What a difference from the first time. Total 360. The waitress tonight was very unaccommodating and almost felt like she didn't want to be there. I can honestly say the food isn't bad but probably would not go back for a very long time if at all. The bread was excellent, the best we've gotten since we moved here 18 months ago. I thought their 2 lb. lobster was going to be good, but it wasn't sweet like a Maine lobster should be, in fact it had a funny aftertaste. The service was very good but they were only serving 4 tables. The restaurant is very dated, it is in dire need of new tables, chairs, cutlery, & bathrooms. I had been here numerous times over the years and had always enjoyed the food. I went back with my then date about a year or so ago and was raving about how much I liked this place. She was really looking forward to it. On arrival we made it clear to the waitress that my date was a vegetarian and doesn't want any meatballs with her macaroni, touching it, near it etc. They brought out our dishes and lo and behold, two giant meatballs on the top of her spaghetti. I asked very politely if we could please get another plate of macaroni because she was a vegetarian and the meatballs were on it. The woman brought it back with an attitude, then came back in about 3 seconds. We noticed two huge dents in the top of the macaroni where the meatballs were. I asked the woman if she just removed the meatballs to which she exclaimed, yes. I said I'm sorry but since it was mixed in with the meat my date won't eat it. Can we please have another plate of macaroni, all the while I was still being very polite. I see no need to be rude to anyone waiting on me etc.. The woman threw her arms in the air, and started saying it hardly touched it and gave us a very very big attitude. She then went and got a whole new plate and came back about 5 mins later or so and tried to make up for it by being very polite. The damage was already done. The staff had always been OK otherwise, but the food isn't very memorable and that one waitress just left a bad taste in our mouths. Somebody said lobster and somebody else said Aletto's. We tried it. Baked clams appetizer, we requested chopped they were good. I got the special, 2 LB lobster, very good! Wife got the shrimp scampi, and she loved it. Fresh hunk of bread with salad included. Twice baked potato came with mine but I was lobster lazer focused! Thank you for the recommendation, have not been here to Alleto's in 20 years since we moved from the neighborhood. Still the same only better. Very old and musty place. Popular with the senior crowd. We waited over an hour for our food only to be told at the one hour mark that they couldn't make one of our dishes. I had the lobster which I found to be overcooked. My wife felt sick after she ate her food. The staff looked like they were in misery working there. They got very greedy during the pandemic: took advantage of their take out customers, we ordered 3-4 lobster dinners at a time, received one bread, one wilted salad, soft mushy potatoes aka fries, and lobsters were NOT two pounds each. And cash only. You can complain but you will never get an apology or remorse. Horrible customer service. They just don't care. Kathy is nasty. Orders are always missing something. Horrible ! We went to celebrate a birthday of a friend the only thing that had any flavor was the salad dressing. I had the scallops and Sauté broccoli and baked potato had no flavor how can your ruin a baked potato? Scallops were small but bigger than bay scallops Spouse had penne all's vodka which was no better than jar sauce. My child had fettuccine Alfredo- she had to add so much cheese and said it was hard and crunchy on the ends She also had Zucchini fries which she said were good The whole front end bar area needs a complete overhaul stains on the ceiling, rugs and a small couch cushion is peeling Service The website said they open at 2 pm but when called they said 3 pm However they let us come in at 230. i loved the food here!!!! Had a 3 pound lobster and my husband had a porter steak and it was absolutely delicious. People should be in line to get in in this place!!!! The place a little outdated but who cares when you are served such delicious food and large portions. The waitress was absolutely helpful and tried her best to make us feel confortable. We are planing to go back there tonight for Valentines Day and we hope to enjoy it as much as the last time. The food is gourmet and they make you feel you are five stars!!! First time here. My two friends took me here since they eat here yearly. Of course we had the 2 lbs lobster dinner. It was huge and the meat from the tale and claws was delicious. There is nothing appealing when you walk in . Dim, dingy, old , musty overall gross. Against my better judgment we sat down and ordered. After 45 minutes our food still didn't arrive. My husband asked when it would be done and we were told that the veal chop took a very long time and would be out in about 8 minutes. We asked for a check and left as we were done waiting. A classic feel when you walk in. It feels like home. It feels like part of my child hood. Alletto's serves a nice variety on their menu. We were seated promptly and our server was attentive. I usually try a different dish when we go and I have not been disappointed. Between penne ala vodka, salmon, steak or chicken dish I have been satisfied. If you get there before 6:00, you can get awesome 2+ lb. lobsters below market price. The lobster, however you order it, is prepared immaculately and will leave you with that delicious, buttery, full feeling you only get from really fabulous lobster. Two days later, you'll still be wondering why you ever eat anything else. The Pinot Grigio is very versatile and goes well with everything I've ever eaten there (which is only lobster and side dishes, ha). Now here's the things that are weird about this place. Everyone is in proper dinner dress and it's crack-your-own-shell style eating. The bathroom is a bit dingy. There are tons of elderly people everywhere looking like they might literally shuffle off this mortal coil at any moment (except when they're digging into their lobsters, which they do with all the dexterity of a teenager). A family member suggested we go out to Alletto's for dinner on New Year's Eve. I think they may have been joking, but we went anyway. First impressions upon entering the restaurant: where is the waitstaff. You immediately walk into the bar and there is no one there to greet you. We shuffled around the bar patrons to find the waitstaff standing around the hostess stand. They asked if we had a reservation, which we did not. The restaurant was completely empty in the front dining room aside from one table of elderly folks. So we were seated directly next to that table, who were loud and repeatedly sent food back/asked it to be taken off the check. That should have been our first sign to get out. This is an old person's restaurant. The decor doesn't look to have been changed in 40 years. It has a "nautical" theme, with portraits of old sailors and plastic plates with nautical rope lining the edge. Yes, plastic plates. Aside from a couple with a child that came in half way through our meal, we were the youngest people in there. I was disappointed in the menu options as well. Nothing really sounded that appetizing as I'm not a huge seafood eater. No crab at all, there was veal marsala but not chicken marsala, etc. You could have steak, seafood or something with pasta sauce. We had at least 3 different waiters/waitresses attend to us. We received our drinks promptly, but no one ever asked if we would like more wine. A few minutes later someone filled up our glasses. Another waitress brought out a small bowl of salad for the two of us to share. Minimal effort looks like it was put into preparing it, with wilted tomato slices, a few cucumbers, and garbanzo beans? The salad dressing was delicious so I covered the salad in that. A young teenager who I assume was a busboy or maybe a waiter brought us a loaf of bread, but he more or less dropped it onto the table and butter didn't arrive for the bride until 2-3 minutes later. I never want to be told "here's some bread" when eating out at a nice restaurant. We ordered the fried calamari rings for an appetizer. The table was set for 4 people, but the awkward positioning of the table and center piece (salt shakers, sugar packets, fake flowers in a vase that were dirty with the stains of old pasta sauce) took up so much room that they placed the appetizer on the opposite side of the table from us. Someone new came to take our salad dishes. The calamari was better than I expected, but not as good of quality as other restaurants in the area. It was probably frozen and not freshly made, but maybe that's for the better. We had a small amount of our appetizer leftover and the young teenage waiter asked if we would like that wrapped, which I did. He then put it in a to go container in a plastic bag and sat it on the edge of the table. Our main courses had not even arrived yet. We went along with it. I ordered the garlic rib steak and my boyfriend had the T-Bone (Misspelled on the menu as "T-Boone"). Mine arrived with a coating of garlic on the top side of the steak and was cooked to order. I'm not sure how you achieve such a flavorless steak, but mine should have been marinated in something before being prepared. I'll chalk it up to it probably being a cheap quality steak. It was certainly edible, not too greasy. I just felt that for the value I could have prepared a better steak at home. My boyfriend's t-bone had been marinated in a sweet sauce which I enjoyed. I was very disappointed at no choice of sides and my meal arrived with a very sad, bland and under cooked baked potato and a small spoonful of over cooked green beans. A few were done, most were not. The young waiter then wrapped my steak in tin foil and put it in a doggie bag. Glad it didn't leak all over me because the foil wasn't completely closed. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant just felt weird. It seemed like the kind of place you'd see on Kitchen Nightmares. I didn't feel the quality was on par with the pricing, the wait staff was unprofessional, though friendly for the most part. I almost feel bad writing a negative review because most of the people working there seemed to be nice, but the restaurant as a whole was laughably bad. We had a good time laughing about the whole ordeal later and it will certainly make for a good story for years to come, but I will never eat there again. read more
