STAY AWAY! We paid the 6,000 to break our lease early. The early termination was in June and we thought we'd be good. July rolls around we get charged again for rent, after our lease is already up. We contact Allez to get a refund and they said that we cannot get a refund because we had auto pay turned on and gaslight us and told us it was our fault. (Yes... our fault that they took rent after our lease had concluded). After numerous back and forth emails they stated today that they cannot refund us the money they stole from us due to not knowing how to and to go through our bank to get a refund. Now, the bank will not refund us because of the way the transaction went through. The bank said that the apartment has to refund us. So, now they took a whole months rent out of our bank account and are saying they are unable to refund us. Never before have I been in a situation like this and I write this to warn you to not move here. We're already working on suing and taking to small claims, just to be able to get the money back that they stole from us. Oh and if you enjoy peace and quiet don't move here. The walls are paper thin and the construction of the building is terrible. You can hear every noise from your upstairs neighbor. If you work night shift the noises will keep you up unless you have really good earplugs, so just keep that in mind. read more

I absolutely loved my time living at Allez. The property is kept clean, it's quiet, the neighbors are friendly, and there are a bunch of cute dogs. It's conveniently located and the River Trail Roasters on the first floor is a life saver when you need a quick snack or some caffeine. The Sammamish River Trail is right behind the complex and is great if you enjoy walking, running, biking or kayaking. The best thing about living at Allez, however, is the staff. I would frequently find myself having a chat when I went downstairs and my dog was always ecstatic to see them. Angel, Matt, Chris, Willow, and Charlie add that extra touch that makes Allez amazing. Any time I had an issue or a question they were quick to respond and super helpful. I've recently moved across the country but I (and my dog) really miss everyone at Allez. read more

Current Allez resident here! When I tell you Allez is an amazing place to live, understand that I have VERY high standards. First of all, let's talk a bit about the staff. These people go above and beyond- consistently. I came to the PNW for three days in search of an apartment (we moved here from Cleveland). Angel was so accommodating and flexible with making an appointment that worked for us. She had an entire file prepared for us with FAQs, price points, a checklist of items for applying, and information about the area. She wasn't pushy, she wasn't overbearing (I had one agent call me twice a day every day for almost two weeks), she was just helpful. Being on a short timeframe, this was so appreciated. When we signed our lease, our flight was delayed getting into Seattle by three hours. Angel waited for us to make sure we had our keys and assured us that whenever we got there, she would be there too. She gave us essentials (like toilet paper!) and made sure we would be comfortable. As we had a moving truck driving in the next day and no car...this was HUGE on a customer service standpoint. Angel checked on our cat when we went out of town and made sure our packages were safely housed while we were away. When I got a Christmas gift that was a living plant, she made sure it was brought indoors and safely placed in our apartment. The maintenance man, Jeremy, has brought things to MY attention with a timeline for completion! Once our light was out in front of our door and HE brought it up, letting me know he was switching it out that afternoon. I had one issue with our washer and it was replaced with a brand new unit in no time. The property is well-maintained and the grounds are gorgeous. Please understand that people live here too, and people will ALWAYS be people. This means that the property is not responsible for what people do (litter, not picking up their dog poop, etc). Regardless, measures are always taken to keep the place nice for everyone. The carpets have been cleaned, signs have been posted reinforcing pet relief areas in the courtyard, steps have been taken to make sure residents park in their assigned areas, a mirror installed for safety exiting the parking garage, and there are key fob access locks on the entrances and exits. I have never seen anybody smoking on the property- but if they do, that's a reflection of them and not Allez. There's a no smoking addendum included in the lease in addition to no smoking signs- it's not a secret that this is a smoke-free property. There is frequent communication when issues arise to keep everyone safe and comfortable. There is AMPLE notice provided should an event occur or your apartment need to be accessed (usually a week's notice when 3 days is all that's required). Our apartments have been measured for AC ports and there was a walkthrough to test the smoke alarms and examine units for resident safety- I've NEVER lived in an apartment where this has been done. Ever. I did have one issue with a package (because of the delivery person- not the complex), and I informed Matthew (the leasing manager) about it. He emailed me back within the hour and informed Amazon so they could work on proper delivery. No blame shifting, no "that's not our responsibility," just an apology and feedback to the deliver agents. How often do you see that? The apartments are quiet, comfortable, modern, and beautiful. The staff is caring, kind, considerate. There's not a pet or resident they don't know by name. They put up a Christmas tree with photos of resident's pets in ornaments, they gave out candy to each unit for Halloween and cards/candy for Valentine's Day, and the first birthday card I received this year was from the office! This review is long-winded and lengthy...and that's because I have so much to say about how awesome this place is and how wonderful the staff is. I've never felt like I was just a number here. I know I'm respected and appreciated, that me and my needs cared about and tended to. That, in my opinion, is WELL worth the rent. read more

If you're looking for a place to actually call home and feel welcome. Allez is it. Matt and Angel are friendly, and are always happy to answer any or all questions. Zach and Justin are a fantastic team. They're quick to get things done. In the two years my husband and I have lived here we haven't had one problem with them. The common areas are always clean The garbages are never overflowing the mailroom is clean (except for on coupon days. Nobody wants coupons) that's more on some of the residents though. Throw them away or make nice, neat piles guys. I, especially, enjoy the coffeeshop in the building. On the days that they roast beans the whole lobby smells like coffee The community is also pet friendly. Everyone in the office loves dogs and will treat your pet like their own. My husband and I were staying here on temporary housing and loved it here. We were in the midst of deciding on a permanent location and Angel, the site manager, was extremely helpful. She was very easy to talk to and was very fast to respond to our questions/requests (almost instantly, it was AMAZING). She was very intuitive and accommodating as well. Ultimately we decided on a different location but it was in no way at the fault of Angel, but rather the home/size we were looking for was not available at the time at Allez and another location did. However, we came VERY close to signing with Allez. The location right next to the river trail is a huge plus and the residents are all pretty quiet. The amenities and design elements are all new and top notch, lots of built-in storage units, and bedroom sizes are reasonable (unlike some places...*cough* Riverpark). Kitchens are also a good size with granite countertops and lots of cabinet space. And of course, the staff was amazing. Over this is a fantastic place to live with amazing staff (shout out to Angel!). read more

We were among the first residents ever to rent here. I expected a few problems in the beginning as it is a new construction but everything was addressed immediately and after the first couple of months, we didn't have any problems at all. So I will break things down point by point. Location: excellent proximity to the 545 into Seattle, and walking distance from Qfc and all sorts of other stores. Can't beat that! Management and staff: I really don't understand the negative reviews here. Jodie and Bryan have always been nothing but pleasant and fun to talk to. I'm a stay at home housewife and so I would see them a lot and even if they were busy, they still took the time to wave and acknowledge my presence when I passed by. Maintenance was great as well! Both Zack and Milton were so friendly and always stopped to chat. Property: This place was always clean. Someone was always vacuuming or mopping and keeping up the landscaping. Even the garage was clean. We had a beautiful unit on the 6th floor and we loved it. The only reason we moved was to save a bit of money so we could buy a house. If I had to point out any draw backs, it would be that the unit got hot in the summer! Jodie mentioned they were fixing that so hopefully that will improve for future tenants. I live in allez now and I'm moving out in a week so I figured now would be a good time to post a review. This is a good place to live. I would definitely recommend it for the area, since it is within walking distance to grocery stores and redmond tc. There have just been a few things that have been not so great while I was here. The area behind the community has a homeless person problem. There are benches that usually have at least one person sleeping on them. It ends up freaking me out, especially when I have to walk the dog by myself. That area isn't very well maintained throughout the year, but I'm not sure if it is city of redmond's problem or Allez's. Besides that, the amenities are great and we've definitely enjoyed them! The apartments are new so they have great interiors. Some of the configurations needed more thought, but overall really great. We are in a unit that has windows from floor to ceilings, and our ceilings are very high. It is gorgeous. We face the mountains and that alone would have kept me here if not for one thing...it gets so hot! For a newer building I would have though AC would have been something they would have added. It wouldn't be a big deal if there were more windows to open, or a better place to install put own air conditioning unit. The only place that we can put it is off of the balcony, so there goes another feature that we can't enjoy because the apartments get too hot. There is only one window we can barely crack in the livingroom/kitchen area, besides the sliding glass door to the balcony. I would have paid way more for air conditioning. Management is good. There are only two in the office and they do a great job. The maintenance staff is also good. It seems like they lack a few resources to get their job done. For example, the battery in our fire alarm died and they didn't have a latter tall enough to reach it. Even with this set back they were helpful and quick to go out and get the latter just to solve our issue. Our renewal offer recently came in and the price of rent didn't go up that much. We wouldn't have felt uncomfortable staying here for another year, like at some communities where the price goes up 20%. All in all, definitely come out and decide if Allez is right for you. We love Allez! The building and landscaping are beautiful. The apartments are spacious and ours has plenty of storage. The staff and neighbors are friendly. The location is very convenient for going to businesses and bus stops in downtown Redmond; we can pretty much walk everywhere we want to go. Also, we love how easy it is to take our dog out on long walks. My boyfriend has lived in this complex for 3 years and has been very satisfied with the management, location, and his unit. When it came time to move in together we looked around at other complexes in the area and came back to Allez - we are moving to a new unit in July and couldn't be happier. Location: On the Sammamish river trail so we can bike to Woodinville or walk to Marymoor. Trader Joes and QFC is right around the corner. We walk to the movie theater and to downtown Redmond - not recommended in heels. Management: Very responsive and always makes time for you. Toured us through all available units to really get a feel for the different layouts (probably a total of 10 units over 6 months). Atmosphere: We love the small lounge without the pool table - we use it to host board game nights since there is multiple tables to host 10-15 people. There is a nice BBQ area and the rec room has a kitchen in it. The gym has plenty of well-maintained equipment and has never been too busy to get a machine. River Trail Roasters is one of my favorite cafes, their tea selection is from market spice in Pike Place, they have a nice selection of food, and good atmosphere. Very dog friendly community, often hosting Mud Bay events - and they don't forget to give out the cat treats either :) read more

Place is not well kept and the management is terrible. Very offensive and unfriendly. Giving an update to this now. Previously a 1 star. It's a new establishment and it seems that they are getting a handle of things. They finally hired people to keep the place clean and in order and the staff has improved but the management hasn't. I had issues with a their neon light that displays their name beaming into my bedroom. I didn't even know it existed until they turned it on months after I moved in. Long story short, I reported the issue back in September and the problem hasn't been fixed yet and its Feb 2015. Luckily the lights were turned off but it took them a month to do so only because the owners said to keep it on. read more

My move out experience was awful, and from their shady behavior surrounding the entire situation I would have to recommend that no one move in unless you are looking to get scammed. I had to move out early because I was relocating to a different city, and had about three months left on my rent. I was told that my options were to: A) Find a new resident to take over the lease, B) Pay a two month termination fee, or C) Pay the rest of the rent and give back my keys, in which case the unit would be available for rent on the website one week afterwards, and when a new resident moved in, I would get a refund for the remaining days left on my lease. I elected for option C and gave back my keys, as it was the summer and there were very few apartments available at the time. The day that I handed back the keys, the website accurately reflected the availability date of one week from move out. However, the moment I paid the remainder of the rent a few days later, the availability date on the website jumped to EIGHT WEEKS later, almost the end of my original lease. What? I email them, and they said that they never guaranteed a specific date, only told me the average which was seven days. I unfortunately was stupid enough to not specify the agreed upon availability date in my written 20 day notice, so I apparently now have no legal rights to the apartment that I am paying for every day of the next three months. I tried to get in contact with them about possible alternatives, but now they won't respond to my emails. Very unprofessional. read more

I have enjoyed my experience so far at Allez. It's a quiet, pet-friendly, clean, well-located community that is right on the trail which is convenient. It's walking distance to shops and with a coffee shop conveniently located on the first floor. The office staff is exceptional! They are responsive and friendly. Angel is not only knowledgeable and excellent at her job but also she's friendly and goes above and beyond for the residents. I am living in Allez for a little over 6 months now and it has been nothing but great. The personnel over there are great - leasing office management (Bryan and Jodie) and the maintenance team (Justin/Zach). They are extremely friendly and easy to work with. Maintenance requests are handled on time and the place is always kept neat. The gym is extremely good. I have looked at close to 18-20 apartments, and this is the best gym of all. The lunge is great - neat and pretty much always available for you to either watch tv, play pool or have your friends over for a get together. I believe some of the negative reviews here were early on when the apartment just started out, so am sure the reviewers would feel very different now. The location itself is great - very close to downtown Redmond, opposite to library, walkable distance from QFC, just next to the trail etc. All in all, a great place to live. read more

I'm a responsible renter who takes extra precaution in caring for the apartment and had never had any issue with getting my full deposits back... until this place. My boyfriend got the apartment rental lease for 10 months for work. We came here because this was one of the few that allowed our breed of large dog in the area. (My dog did not end up coming and just stayed on the east coast.) We only stayed for 2 months out of the 10 because Microsoft cut him due to their budget. No problem, a lease is a lease so he continued to pay until the end. We would come once every two months to check up on the apartment (and car that was still parked in the garage) and everything was fine. They emailed us one day saying they were going to clean the parking lot and all cars needed to be moved. One week notice. What if someone was going to be out of town? It was in the middle of the week so we clearly could not be there to move our vehicle. Staff is very unprofessional. They are SO hard to get ahold of and never pick up the phone. After repeated tries, they finally told us they would cover our vehicle for us. Finally, we finished our lease. We turned in everything and did a walk through with the inspector. They insisted we do not have to be present. Always be there. They are sneaky and not clear. Shady business practice. When we were done with the walk through, he said we were good to go. We asked for a signed copy that we were good to go and the person in the office said we owe a carpet cleaning fee which was never stated in the lease. They said they would deduct it from the deposit. We barely stayed there and had no pets! They did not want to give us a signed copy. After we said we would discuss it with our legal advisor, they realized they could not play with us. No need to say names, just be careful when you leave, and read everything. If they were clear from the beginning and mentioned it in the lease, there would be no problem. They need to be more up front. read more

We've been living at Allez for 6 months and so far it has been fantastic. It is in a great location, 5 minute walk to groceries and within walking distances of all of the shops, restaurants, and bars. The apartments themselves are very nice, with so many different floor plans to choose from. The management is very kind and attentive and maintenance is super speedy (from our experience, we notified them of a light out in our apartment and the next day it was replaced). One of the biggest things I still can't believe is that we have never heard a neighbor. Going from a stand alone house to an apartment, I was nervous but prepared for 'apartment living' and the noise that came with it. We have literally never heard noise from a neighbor on either side of us and noise from the apartment above us are extremely limited, maybe if something heavy falls we hear that, but no walking footstep noises or anything. I give 4 stars and not 5 because I think some things are still missing. Having motorcycle parking would be a huge plus. Right now in order to park a motorcycle you need to pay for a full spot. I believe management said they are actively working to make this happen though, so a few more brownie points to them! Also, it is pricey to have pets: high up front cost plus a monthly pet rent. I suppose it's normal for the area but definitely something I've never personally encountered. All-in-all I think it's a great place to live and I would absolutely recommend taking a look! read more

I was in need of an apartment right away, and Allez management worked on my behalf to make sure that would happen. Angel, one of the leasing agents, quickly returned my call and set me up with a tour. After our tour, we sat down and she worked hard to make sure I got the apartment I needed and wanted. I was able to lock down the apartment right away thanks to her help. With about two weeks to move-in day, we hit a snag with me not being able to move in to my unit. With my move-in date having to be pushed back due to things out of Allez management's control, Angel and the Allez management was still able to provide a temporary unit for me to live in until my original unit was move-in ready. Although I was living in a different unit temporarily, Angel and the Allez management kept my rent and all other expenses the same. I appreciated all of their help, and look forward to being a resident here. read more

I don't understand all the positive reviews here other than that the new folks haven't gotten the full treatment yet or are just not around to notice what is not right about this place. If I could give negative stars I would. I am a friend of someone who moved out recently. I'm local and I've been around this place since the beginning. The first management company was actually responsive, Jodie, Crystal & Bryan actually understood this is a living establishment, but in 2016 Greystar arrived and it all went down hill. The front office is a joke - except Angel, but her hands are tied so she can only do so much. I don't expect her to be around long. Matt, after he gets your signature on a lease and rave reviews with the owner (his friend by the way) for high occupancy he will sit in his office, except to do tours, and revert to his favorite lines when you ask him a question, "I don't know." "I can't do anything about that." (this is where he passes blame to Greystar) "I have no budget." "I'll look into it." - but there is no follow up. Or the best one: the shrug! The passivity is actually a fascinating study if you have the time. There is a laundry list of things that just don't get fixed around here: 1) If you talk to the maintenance guys they just say they are too busy. Yet, you will find them sitting in the front office quite often. 2) They will fix stuff in apartments - it normally takes several trips, they have no problem intruding on your privacy. They find ways to get into your apartment several times a year. Rogue and weird reasons to inspect, and they do it without give more than 48 hour notice so you just have to deal with your privacy being violated. 3) Getting things fixed or cleaned in common areas takes FOREVER! if it is actually fixed! -They welded some additions on the outside doors over a year ago - they still haven't repainted them. One has had an ugly primer strip on it for at least a year now. -The workout room had to have a repair and it took over nine months! -Constantly the driveway has broken glass due to trash trucks making a mess dumping the garbage weekly. The maintenance guys know, but they don't go out and clean it up unless you ask. (They tend not to like squeaky wheels that ask all the time.) -....and I could go on and on. If you REALLY look around when you are touring and ask really good questions about how the property actually is run you will either be lied to or they will just not show you how bad things are - you won't tour the WHOLE property. Look at the details - they speak volumes. Even the pictures on the web are so doctored and marketing primed that they don't tell you what this place is actually like. They were taken when it opened five years ago. Buyer beware - if you sign a lease you are getting a great location and maybe a nice looking unit, but that's where and when it ends. So as long as you are a hermit that never needs anything and doesn't mind being intruded upon it will work. The location just isn't worth it. read more

I am actively seeking an apartment home and documenting my search in hopes of assisting others. This is just my opinion which may defer from others. I called about apartments this week after getting told to come back on Sunday before 5 after our impromptu Saturday visit which I understood since I had no appointment and they were slammed. We came back on Sunday around 3:30 and the "Will be back" sign was already hung up and set to 9AM the next day. No problem. I called the next day and as a consumer, I asked about pricing, availability and specials. When I asked if there are any current specials, the leasing agent said. "We are 99.9% occupied and there is no reason in giving specials at this point". Point taken but since you had that last apartment available shouldn't you still try to at least be cordial? I mean chances are somebody would've beat me to the punch but the whole "Eastside" stereotype and vibe was definitely felt here. Sorry I asked about renting and offended you, didn't mean to ask about the basics. I was in property management for 5 years and I get that when it's busy it's stressful, but that's why you get paid. read more

This could have been such a great place to live, unfortunately the management company has no regards for the tenants. The property is always unkept, common area's rarely are cleaned, parking garage is filthy, loud barking dogs are ignored my management, along with any complaints from the residents. The location is nice; close to QFC, Trader Joe, Bus stop, library, and Sammamish river trail. Staffs are quite friendly. The building is new, just open this year, but is not that well-built. The walls are really thin. I can hear noise from the water pipeline inside the wall and my upstair neighbors make it worse by stomping during late night and early morning. There is also an awkward fresh air system that actually heat up the building during summer. No central A/C in the unit so I have to deal with the heat on my own. Not sure what will be coming during the winter since some of the door/window trims are not well-sealed. read more

We moved about 9 months ago from an apartment in Renton that was to put it nicely, sub par. My husband and I fell in love with Allez! The staff is wonderful; Bryan and Matt, Justin and Zach! The rooms are very quiet, and brand new. The courtyard, gym, and media rooms are wonderful to spend time in, and the lobby is beautiful.
