Both times the clerk informed me that the restroom was out of order. upon further inquiry I was informed that the bathroom wasn't going to be repaired as it is too expensive to repair and is not profitable. I asked the staff what they do and a salesclerk informed me that they go to the bathroom behind the store. This is a health issue, a public disservice, and shows shows a total lack of concern for loyal customers.

He expertly explained the differences between the gas and electric models of the equipment she was interested in, and found a good deal on one of the products that was on sale. We also got an extra battery for one of the tools as a promotional deal that we weren't aware of. We purchased all of her new toys... er.. uh... "tools," and Adam assisted in registering them for warranty. This is a great hardware store, and they have lots of products. Chances are they have exactly what you need! I will come back to this store again as they can answer all your questions and are very friendly. Oh, yeah... pet the cat that runs the store and guards the knife display!

When renovating my place a couple of blocks away, I popped in on this shop, hoping to find some very cool stuff to make my abode a little hipper. This they have in spades. Cork flooring, low emissions, reusable, recyclable, etc - this is THE place in the Ville to come and get it. That said, its also pricier than my budget allowed (mostly because I needed to renovate within the home values in my 'hood - not good to go above the neighborhood - gotta be careful there) Turns out IKEA would get my job done for way less, and still be slick and stylish. But, lets face it - the quality of product is miles apart. I did really like the tile selections, and they were very helpful with pricing and options. I still need to do the kitchen backsplash and they have a couple of products that are still in the running. Gotta make that decision soon. They also carry a small selection of green-earth type gift items, which makes it more than just home renovation supplies. Ownership includes Liberty Phoenix of the acting clan - a nice local angle on a great business. A quick look at their website reveals there is a branch in Atlanta, not sure which came first, but they seem to be doing well. I'm guessing a big designer/professional clientele.

I find my items, because of the easy-to-read lists at the head of each aisle! There are only 150,000 items in this store, thank God it's organized! I was in and out in about ten minutes...not bad at all!!

Kids Workshop Saturdays at Lowe's. This was a FREE event. I liked the idea of getting the kiddo…read moreout the house to a little Mommy and Me time. Inside of Lowe's is clean. I approached the first associate I saw and mentioned the workshop. They were not aware of the event. After a couple of radio calls we were directed to the garden center. We were handed a bag and told to sit down and jump right in. It is not instructor led. The project was building a lawnmower. The contraption was to be made with precut wood, coordinating nails and a hammer. The image leading project was not easy to understand because there was no way to guarantee the pieces aligned. I asked one of the associates for help and was told they did not know how to do the project and it was one of their harder projects. The average age of the attendees was maybe 6. After only one parent finishing the project within the hour I was there. I left like others with an unimpressive unattractive unfinished lawnmower. A thought came to me to just finish it at home. I asked for wood glue, and a Red Vest bc my daughter to place her badge on it, and if I could purchase the hammer. This an added to an additional 40 mins to an hour of just frustration. I would not recommend anyone to go to this workshop unless you want to participate yourself.

The employee treated us like we were trying to steal it. He leaned on it the whole time and got in my personal space when he finally did let me hold it. He treated us like we were going to steal it because we couldn't afford it. Also he didn't believe me when I asked about a military discount. If it hadn't been so close to Christmas and had of had time I would have went somewhere else. I will never go back there unless I just don't have a choice. It made me feel humiliated. Heck I even worked for a Home Depot in clay when I was younger so... nostalgia, but nah no more. I wish I remember the employees name but unfortunately I don't. And the employee who "helped" me couldn't even tell me about it or answer my questions too.
