Update: I have since thrown an engine code P0442 along with an oil light. The engine code is an evap issue (small leak), I can almost guarantee it's not as easy as replacing the gas cap but I'll start with the small stuff first. The oil light could be a number of things. Also they have contacted me about paying for the thermostat I've had to purchase to resolve the first issue but now we are just adding to the long list of items I have to fix on a less than two week purchase. read more

A painless a car buying process as is possible when buying a vehicle from a state I don't live in! Jay and Sha were very responsive to both emails and texts, answering questions, being patient while I drove in from Maryland, and being honest about financing options. They also were accommodating and took the vehicle to another shop so I could have an independent inspection done, and fixed the things we negotiated before I picked it up. Their facility is a little weird to find - I circled the front of the building before realizing there were businesses in the back - and parking might be an issue, but they moved things around so I could test drive a car...with no notice at all. They seem to be doing their best to buck the preconceived slimy car dealer label and I hope they continue to be successful! Yes, go there. Yes, trust them. read more

I live in Maine and recently bought a 2015 Mini Cooper S. I had searched high and low and found it with all the options. I had to fly down and drive it back. Marisa and Chevan were fantastic throughout, answering ALL my questions about the features of the car. They even picked me up at the Airport on the big day. Sadly, the Brake light came on not 100 miles into the drive back, indicating the back break pads needed replacing. Needless to say I was furious. When I got back I learned how to check the vehicle information on the menu, and the front brakes were coming due in 800 miles. I strongly believed (and still do) those should have been caught during the grand inspection and taken care of before I bought. Seems silly to spend that much on a car and have to drop another 1200 on both sets of brakes so soon. I had a challenging discussion with the GM Sha who was initially defensive and said it was still under warranty (which brakes and tires are not). I said he needed to make this right. I had it looked at and got the quote to him. Amazing the difference of how much we pay for parts (and LABOR!) at a garage, and how much they pay direct from whatever secret source they use. So in the end he agreed to pay for the back, I paid for the front (technically not due yet when purchased) at his cost, he paid for the shipping, and I had to pay the labor. It wasn't ideal to say the least, but I realized everyone has to do brakes at some point and it was my turn, even though I would have thought I would be exempt from ANY repairs so soon after a purchase. Should never of happened, and I see how worse others have had it, but in the end we both chipped in and he made It sort of right. read more

The team at Alliance were absolutely stellar. I happened upon an ad for a supercharged Camaro 2SS that looked stunning. I've had a few Camaros and was really missing driving one. I made a call and said I'd be there at noon to check her out. I got there a little early and she was ready to test drive. Not only were the folks not pushy, they actually exuded love for cool one-off vehicles. I probably talked more car shop than car purchasing with these folks. At the end of the day they not only gave me a price I could not have duplicated if I were to mod the car myself, but gave me an excellent trade in on my Type R. As a bonus, they offered to keep an eye out for my 50th birthday present (70 Chevelle). Awesome to work with and the supercharger install was about as professional as it gets. These cats know cars. I highly suggest you check them out. Top notch outfit and I'll be back to see what goodies they have when my son turns 16 (nothing supercharged guys.. ;) ) In the meantime i'll be trying my best not to get sideways in second gear. read more

All I can say is that I took a major lost today. Went to go look at a 2006 E55 AMG they had, it looked amazing and pictures and carfax was clean, No accident report and only 2 owners. The vehicle is for sale for 11,999 and they were willing to work with me for 10,500 out the door. I was pressured to give them a deposit on the vehicle if I wasn't going to give them my deposit right there and then i would lose that ability to purchase the vehicle at 10,500. So i gave them a deposit without seeing the vehicle. I flew from california Bay Area to see and purchase the vehicle. When I came and saw it, I was surprised and disappointed. The whole front end of the vehicle has been repainted as well as the rear bumper. It had all different color of silver. Also when staring up the vehicle belt was squeaking like crazy till it warmed up, valve covers were leaking oil, rear main seal is leaking oil as well and has some cheap tires on a 500hp vehicle. I spoke with the manager and asked him why he did not tell me in what condition this vehicle was, he simply told me he didn't know about it and not a lot of people are "picky / car enthusiast" as me. I was so upset I asked if I could at least get my deposit back since i spent $800 on the plane ticket. He said No. I said "ok that's fine" ill take the lost, but i would like everyone to know that if these people can screw you over they will. They won't even tell me about the condition these vehicle was in. Luckily i work on these vehicle for a living, if it was a regular person with zero knowledge about vehicles they would surely get them to buy it and not tell them about the conditions of the vehicle. I will be returning to Alliance with all of my car service needs. I brought in my Subaru Forester for a faulty brake sensor and a few other minor issues. Not only did they meet my expectations, but they exceeded them. They didn't try to up-charge for services that weren't absolutely necessary, and even reviewed cost of parts with me so I knew exactly what was being done. Another bonus-- while I was waiting for the service to be performed, I logged on to the wifi and had some coffee and snacks, which were provided as a courtesy! read more

WARNING-have vehicle inspected by a mechanic before you purchase from Alliance Auto Group. I bought a Ford Raptor from Alliance Auto Group in September 2018. I took it to the Ford service center a few days after the purchase and they informed me that I needed to replace both lower ball joints and that the heater didn't work on the driver side of the vehicle. The ball joints cost a little over $1000. I didn't have them fix the heater. Even after replacing the ball joints, the truck rode very rough. I've put about 2000 miles on the truck since I bought it. Last week, the ride got so rough that I couldn't drive the truck over about 45mph due to intense shaking. I took it onto a shop to have the tires balanced and the alignment done. The guys at the shop asked me for the lug nut key to get the lug nuts off. I realized that Alliance hadn't provided the key, so I reached out to see if they still had it. Alliance let me know that they had several lug nut keys at the dealership that they had forgotten to include when people purchased from them. I asked if I could come by to take a look and they didn't respond, so I had to have the shop cut the lug nuts off the truck. This cost $150. Once the shop cut the lug nuts off, they tried to balance the tires. The shop was unable to balance the tires because Alliance had put cheap, remolded tires on the truck. Remolded tires are used tires that have had some rubber added. The shop explained that the remolded tires would not balance and that they would be dangerous to drive on. They recommended that I purchase new tires asap ($1500). They also informed me that the engine is misfiring and that the truck is leaking transmission fluid. Once I found out how many problems there were, I reached out to Alliance to see if they would help with any of the repairs or help me get safe tires. The sales rep rushed me off the phone and said he would "look into it." That was a few days ago and I haven't heard anything. Meanwhile, the truck is unsafe to drive... read more

Eva--my beloved Scion TC, my very first car EVER, decided to start giving me engine issues. Even after multiple mechanics ensuring me that her longevity will last me years and years, it got to the point where I had to dump in 1-2 bottles of oil every other week because she was bone dry. Initially, I was very hesitant to sell the Scion because it was completely paid off, and as a struggling student I did not want to take on another commitment of monthly car payments. However, after taking my car to Alliance, Sha (the owner of AAG) recommended that I trade in/sell the Scion while it was still worth something rather than waiting until more issues came up, which by then, the value would depreciate even more. I had a light bulb moment! That makes complete sense. By attempting to save money by running down my car, I would've lost more money in the long run. I really appreciated the honest advice rather than someone just trying to tell me everything would be okay and one day having my car break down on me. Sha helped me find a beautiful and reliable used BMW in great condition for an UNBEATABLE price (with monthly payments I could afford) and talked me through the entire process of buying a used vehicle. When I was super confused with the loan process at the credit union, he was available to take my calls to offer his suggestions/give me advice. He was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond my expectations. AAG was also extremely flexible and allowed me to leave the car there while I was out of the country for 3 weeks after I bought it. Bottom line--if you're trying to buy a reliable used luxury vehicle then I would highly recommend AAG. As skeptical as I was in buying a used car, I've been pleasantly surprised. Stopped by yesterday after a family member referred me with my 07 Honda Civic. The bumper was loose after being hit by a drunk driver and it also had some scratches. The car had been giving me trouble for some time and I was going to trade it in for something else in the coming days. I was hoping they could fix it for me in just a few minutes (just add some clips to the side bumper) but they told me to do a good job, the work would be more extensive, having to re-position the headlight, etc. I knew they were right since I could see for myself where the headlight had been jammed into the bumper from the accident. While I was talking to one of the guys and saying that I didn't think it was worth the effort to put that much work and money into a car that was probably on its last leg anyways, two other guys came over and buffed out the scratches and snapped the side bumpers back in. Because I was getting rid of it, they said it would be a good temporary fix so that I wouldn't lose any points for cosmetic defects if I chose to trade it in at a dealership. Here's the kicker--the quick fix was on the house! Talk about good customer service! They also let me know that they specialize in German cars (they sell a good number of high quality audis and bmws on their lot) and they do some great repairs and auto body work. If you're looking for some great and honest mechanic who won't charge you through the roof or if you're in the market for a great car at a reasonable price, stop in and check these guys out. They're very knowledgeable and friendly and are passionate about the work they do. You won't be disappointed! read more

Nice shop, Nice showroom, Nice guys. Owner and Employees are nice and as accommodating as is expected of a car dealer. No pushy sales tactics or run around. Allowed me a lot of time to thoroughly inspect the vehicle, and test drive. Reason for three stars is the following. 1) They need to better inspect the vehicles they are buying, and selling. I was able to find multiple above normal issues with the 90k mile vehicle I was interested in. While they agreed with my assessment on the issues, there was not much that could be done regarding a discount or deal, because of the amount of money tied up in that vehicle. 2-A) They need to try and establish more accounts with other banks to give their customers more options for financing. Having only one bank just limits your customer base. 2-B) They will also not discount a car if you finance through their bank partner because of the fee's associated with using that finance partner. Overall I would have purchased a vehicle with them, but when you get down to fine details, and condition of the vehicle, it just doesn't make financial sense. I will admit that I am little more picky with Used car purchases then most. read more
