Never buy from here, everything is just smoke and mirrors. I bought a car from there last June and have only had problems since. First off they sold me the car without having an actually key for it, just a fob which is my fault for not checking. Then I go to get the tires rotated and balanced only to find out that all 4 rims are bent. They had moved the worst ones to the back and marked them on the inside with orange marker along with the wheels so they knew to put the bad ones on the back since it is a front wheel drive car. Absolutely terrible and if you try to talk to them about it they don't want to hear a peep. Stay far away and I hope they go out of business for all their shady activity. I was supoosed to purchase a vehicle from Kings Towne. I asked them what was the total price of the vehicle to include tax and tags. An employee texted me.the out the door price of the vehicle. So went to my credit union and got that amount 8n a check. The day im supoosed to head to kingstowne I texted them was there anything else I need to bring I have the check. They told me a sales manger would call me. We'll I got the call and he told me they quoted me wring and that the vehicle was a higher than the original quote. Told me to go back to my credit union and have them print out a new check or get my own personal check to cover the difference. I told them I would contact them later. I thought about it and talk with folks, I didnt go. They , Kingstowne, contacted me for me to come down. Told them no they lost a customer and a sell because of thwir mistake they should eat that cost not me adding more money to a quote they gave me and then change the quote up the day im.supposed to head down to them? Really? Had I not asked if there was anything else, would they had contacted me? And the quote was there mistake. Why should I pay for it? When they found out I wasn't coming then they said they spoke with the manager and they would eat the cost. Well my statement to that is why didnt they say that from.that first call to begin with, instead of.telling me I had to cover the cost? To me it was a game.to see if I would pay more mo.ey than initially quoted to me. I didnt like that at all. I voided the check and will be spending my money else. I bought my Mercedes GLE 350 from Kingstowne Motorcars back in December and had a great purchasing experience. Of course, one thing I never thought to check on my test drive and subsequent purchase was the seatbelts in the back seat. Only in March did I have guests in the back seat and realize the seatbelts wouldn't clip in. When I called Kingstowne to explain the situation they were great. They had me bring the vehicle in and determined the seatbelt clips needed to be replaced, which they then did at no charge to me. 4 stars for a pretty solid car buying experience. My wife and I were in the market for a new SUV due to our old SUV starting to get up there in age. We had been looking around the area at various options and test driving various cars, but nothing was really a good fit. As we were driving back from an event in south Virginia one Sunday, my wife saw a BMW X5 that was available for a good price at Kingstown Motorcars in Manassas. We decided to stop in to see if we could check out the car. We arrived at the venue, which is not terribly large when you consider it is both a used car lot and a service center, but what did stick out to us was the quality of cars on the lot. We mostly saw high-value cars (think six-figure cars), which made us think we came to the right place. We went inside, said hello to the sales rep, and he handed us the keys to go test drive the BMW. We drove over to the Target, tried out the various features, and came back to talk logistics. As it was a Sunday (and thus only the one salesman on duty) and we were about to head to Florida for a couple weeks, we decided to revisit the car when we returned to the area. My wife emailed back and forth with various reps with Kingstowne. The communication wasn't always the most prompt, but they generally provided her the information she needed. One particularly notable piece of information she received is the $995 dealer fee. While this fee is non-negotiable, it is also the only fee that is included beyond the price of the car. As we discovered in talking with other car dealerships, the lack of other hidden fees (Kingstowne actually posts the $995 fee up on its wall) was a big plus to us. A couple days before heading back to Virginia, we decided that we wanted the car, so we sent in the completed deposit form (which we later found out was never processed, but it worked out). We then headed over to Kingstowne on a Saturday to sign paperwork, hand over a check, trade in our old SUV, and pick up our new SUV. Aside from a quick trip to the bank, the entire process was fairly quick and smooth, as well as very low-pressure. Overall, Kingstowne Motorcars provided us with a solid pre-owned luxury vehicle purchase experience. If you are looking to buy a nice car in the DMV area, consider giving these guys a look. read more

I bought my first car from this dealership, the vehicle had an undisclosed cracked subframe and bent wheel. I want to make it very clear that this dealership sold me a car that was unsafe to drive and refused to let me return the car when requested. They offered to fix my vehicle free of charge, which I promptly agreed to. After a week of waiting for my vehicle, I finally was able to pick it up. On my way home, I noticed the car was still shaking at highway speeds. I turned around and immediately brought the car back, Ali the sales manager explained to me that they had only "repaired" the wheel and had not actually replaced it. He wanted to take my car back and replace the wheel for me, but I just wanted my money back at this point. I had lost all trust in this dealership and did not trust that the issue would actually be resolved. After arguing back and forth with Ali about the situation, we finally came to an agreement when I offered to sell the car back to him for list price and take a loss on the taxes, title, processing free, etc. Overall buying a car from this dealership was nothing but a big headache and a $3,000 loss out of my pocket. So we waited figuring the may be in the rest room or something, after waiting 10 minutes I called the phone number and after listening to the voice menu I selected 1 for sales. The phone rang and a sales person came on I said we were in the front and was promptly hung up on. The sales person came out and with extreme attitude states loudly "normally people say something when they come in". I stated that is not a very good attitude to have with a customer and told wife I won't deal with a dealer that is like this. As we were returning to our car through the window I could see why the attitude he had returned to watching a TV in the office adjacent the sales floor. I would've been in & out in one day but I decided to wait an extra day so that I can apply for my own financing (banks closed Sundays). Even when it came to me waiting an extra day, they were very accommodating. If you're nervous about buying a used luxury that's not certified, you're definitely not alone. I'm from NY so I decided to try something different which was a big mistake buying a vehicle out of state .I bought the vehicle In October 2023. The reason being is they sold me a vehicle with problems from the start. I received the vehicle and everything was great until a thunder storm came over night with a lot of rain which when getting into the vehicle it was soaked. The to find out the sunroof was broken upon reaching out to the dealer I was told it was a bracket that needed to be snapped back into place. They refused to pay for the repair in full so they went half with me. Within the next week it had an warning message for the "Chassis" which I though was an error message but come to find out its the front control arm and rear differential. I called the dealership to discuss these issues with the manger and was told he's on vacation and would call me back and never did. I would like think that because Kingstowne motors has service center these issues should have been fixed before selling the vehicle. read more

I thought I should put an honest review from a real customer about this place. I bought an Audi from them about a year ago. My experience was that they were friendly and patient with me as I test drove half a dozen cars, all BMW and Audi. The cars were all in decent if not very good condition, although in one way or another, they all had some faults, which everyone should expect from a used car lot, since I know of no used car dealer that actually reconditions their cars to like-new condition. You have to understand that profit comes from doing the least possible to sell the car, so the key is to find a dealer who buys good cars from wholesale auctions to begin with. The other cars with issues varied from an AC that did not work, one had a hint of an unknown engine vibration (maybe bad spark plugs or ignition coils, or even bad gas, who knows?), and another had some steering play, but ALL had excellent interior and exteriors, cleaned and detailed. My Audi appeared to be in very good exterior condition, but rode terribly. They attributed it to bad tires, and they put a "new" set on. Still rode pretty badly but better, but I appreciated the extra effort. The rear window actuator was busted, but that's a cheap(ish) repair and they took a couple of hundred off for that because his mechanic wasn't working that day and couldn't get it fixed (and I was from out of state, so I couldn't wait... I wanted to buy it on the spot and drive it off). The price was right, so I bought it. As I was driving it home, the car vibrated so badly on the highway that I had instant buyer's remorse! :) But once I got the car back and had it looked at by my mechanic, he said the only things wrong with the car was that all the rims were bent and the rear brakes were due to be replaced. Otherwise, the car was in excellent shape and with very low miles. He highly approved of the purchase. I saw the car on a lift and there wasn't a spot of rust anywhere. He got the rims fixed for me and I put on a set of Conti DWS tires, and the ride was like new! My coworkers were astonished at the good deal I got. They promised that the title will be mailed to me within 3 weeks. And it was, as promised. It's not an uncommon practice for dealers to not take title of their cars, so I wasn't worried, but there ARE dealers that "forget" about mailing it to you later, and that's a hassle and a nightmare that you can avoid here. I'm still driving that Audi today and only had to replace the brake pads and rotors, and it still drives well. If you know what to look out for and not go in thinking you're getting a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, there are FAR worse dealers you can go to. If they weren't so far away, I'd probably pay them a visit again. read more

When I first arrived at Kingstowne Motorcars, the "sales man" admitted to me that he was their Marketing guy and was just helping out. I looked around the lot and expressed an interest in one of their vehicles, so he went and got the year, mileage and most importantly, the cost. When the price he quoted ($20,995) sounded quite good (I had not looked the price up yet), I questioned him about it and the year. He assured me that the price and year were correct. I subsequently spent an hour looking the car over and then test driving it, asking the sales man several more times to re-verify for me the year and price. When I was ready to make the deal, I went back in the office with the 'Marketing Salesman' I had been working with and sat down with the regular salesman. I started out by asking the regular salesman to re-verify the year and price for me, and mentioned what the other salesman had told me (which the original salesman immediately verified to the regular salesman). However, the regular salesman actually chucked at this and said the price was $28,995 - not $20,995. The "Marketing" salesman looked shocked and said he thought it was $20,995. The regular salesman just repeated the higher price. No explanation. No apology for the misunderstanding. And certainly no suggestion of honoring the price that the Marketing salesman had been touting over and over again for the past hour. It was clearly not a case of my misunderstanding the price. It was a case of of one salesman misunderstanding the other salesman. And with an hour or more of my time wasted, all they would do was chuckle that they had given me an incorrect price. I left. Ironically, when I first walked in the office at Kingstowne Motorcars, there was another prospective customer complaining that they had been given one price on the phone and another when they showed up. Seems like the "misunderstanding" about the price of a car at Kingstowne Motorcars is not that unusual. With several other negative reviews and then hearing the other customer when I walked in the door, I guess I should have known better. GREAT VEHICLES and GREAT PRICES! I recently purchased a 2008 BMW 335xi from Kingstowne and couldn't have been happier with the quality of service or the quality of the vehicle. My 335 came with 2 years remaining on the BMW Certified Pre-Owned Warranty, and was in immaculate condition. I even wasted $200 by going to BMW to do a pre-purchase inspection to get a 3rd party's opinion. The tech at BMW was amazed at the condition of the car and even more by the price I was purchasing the vehicle at. This is a family owned business and not your typical car dealership. They take a personal interest in your purchase and are easy to deal with throughout the process. Answering emails and phone calls extremely quickly; this was important to me because I had many questions. I also chose to finance the purchase through my credit union, which made an error which delayed the check. Kingstowne still let me take delivery of the vehicle, and gave me ample time to settle the balance on my purchase. I was very impressed with the selection and quality of their vehicles. I took a look at several, and they were all high end vehicles in excellent condition. Kingstowne only sells the best of the best. Their prices are pretty firm, but extremely fair. While looking for my vehicle, I failed to find the same vehicle in the same condition even close to the price Kingstowne was offering. Overall great guys to deal with, with high quality cars at fair prices!
