I called Ryno's main number yesterday( Monday) left them a message regarding the quote and it is Tuesday, March 20th still no call. They should rename the company Radio Silence Flooring. There were several major areas that needed patching, and it was covered with a black mastic. Under the mastic were stains. I had several estimates done, and the condition of the floor was so poor that one contractor began swearing at it! Every single contractor wanted to put in a new floor instead of salvaging, though a few agreed they could try to repair it but insisted on using a threshold, which would break the flow between the rooms. I was feeling really discouraged as I wanted to preserve the old wood as well as maintain the flow. Enter Ryno Flooring! Brett said this is the kind of job he actually enjoys-- a challenge. He is a true professional and craftsman. Not only did he handle the business aspect of the process beautifully, but my floors look amazing. He was able to remove the mastic (I tested it for asbestos beforehand and it was clear) and all but one of the stains. He used salvaged wood for the patchwork and it looks perfect. He was able to do it with NO threshold, which shows his extraordinary level of expertise. The color choice for a stain was a major issue as it had to work with the natural wood trim and flooring in other areas. Brett has a fantastic eye because he was the one who came up with the custom color, on the first try. Not only did it work exactly with my other wood, but it covered the only stain left. I feel so fortunate to have found this amazing company. Oh, and the price? Very competitive. I cannot recommend Ryno highly enough!

They brought at least a dozen color samples. We sat down and were fully informed in the most professional manner about the cost, financing available, timeframe and what to expect. Bob, Angel, JC, and Giulia are all fantastic! They took care of all village permits. From our estimate to completion was 11 days and would have been shorter but the village permit takes time. They arrived at 7am and our roof was completed by 6pm. They also properly vented our bathroom fans through the roof included in our roof replacement. They left our yard and driveway completely clean and free of debris. With a bit of snow still in the ground, they came back after it melted to double-check that all debris was cleaned up. Maurice from ProTech Restoration came out to assess the damage and to determine if I needed mold remediation services. His assessment was that I should just have the damaged part of the subfloor removed around the toilet. If there was evidence of mold on the underside of the subfloor, or on the joists, to contact him for a re-assessment. Maurice even suggested that I send him a few pictures after the subfloor was removed for him to review. It was determined that all I needed was a partial replacement of the subfloor. I appreciated Maurice's honest professional opinion. He could have easily suggested services that I did not actually need. I hope I never have a need for mold remediation services, but if I do, or if I know anyone who needs this service, I know I will recommend ProTech for an assessment.
