I've seen some of these other reviews and as I only shop on the postal side I can't speak for the law enforcement and fire dept side; however, I can say my visits have been very pleasant! The first time I went I was able to get everything I needed. The PO is strict on our uniforms and our allowance can only be used on American Made gear which there are only a couple/few contractors that actually make our uniforms. This is the only place that we can actually go in and try the uniforms and gear on and the hour and 40 min drive is worth it to me as each company who makes the uniforms are sized differently so it's a gamble ordering everything online. I especially liked Mike! He is exceptionally nice and his son does a good job also. The last two times I have had to go they were a little short on stock due to the PLANdemic. I tried my uniforms on and they alter the length right then and there for you and free of charge Love that! As far as the complaint about someone saying they couldn't go in as a civilian and buy anything so they give them a bad star rating. Don't listen to them unless you don't work for who they sell uniforms for. That's what that shop is. A uniform store for employees for certain careers. This is not a store that just anyone can shop. It helps protect people when just anyone can't, otherwise anyone and their Mom could go buy gear and perpetrate that they are a service worker in a field they don't work in. Someone could be dressed like a postal worker, a police officer, or any of the other and more easily commit a crime as people don't expect any of us workers to do any harm. Many of us get a lot of respect as soon as people see our uniforms and wouldn't feel so safe if any random person could pose as us. Let me tell you all a little tale. I am a LEO in SE MI. Unfortunately, on the eve of December 22nd, I had a "blow out" of my Elbeco Uniform Pants. I hate Elbeco pants as a side note, they constantly rip and the belt loops suck. But I have to use them. Anyways, I was conducting my all important duties as a public servant and I ripped my pants-- spongebob style. Fortunately, the Allie Brothers are truly my Ally, Brother. These guys hooked me up. Usually when you go to far unsuperior uniform stores aka Superior Uniform in Toledo, you have to wait 2-3 weeks MINIMUM for them to hem the pants to your fit. I did not have time to spare. I have to work. Went to Allie Brothers, they hooked me up. Got two pairs of pants, a size bigger because apparently I gotta lay off the doughnuts (they make me go-nuts), and hemmed them while I waited and looked at their great selection of other gear. This other gear I speak of includes Body Armor, Knives, boots, belts, and other cool things. Anyways, shout out to Allie Brothers for always being a dependable uniform store I can count on, even around the holidays. Worthless usless people that work at this business. I have never seen a establishment so unorganized in my life. You go there and have stuff ordered that you need, and they tell you "we will have it in a few weeks". 4 months past and they still don't have it. If it wasn't for government $ going into this sh**hole it would have been under a long time ago. Unbelievable that this place is still in business. They have a surplus of postal and delivery uniforms in stock, but not enough law enforcement uniform or tactical gear/equipment. They don't keep a full size rung of any particular merchandise and have little sizing information to utilize. On top of that, the place is completely disorganized. Beware that they will give you a short delivery window, but trust that your items will not be ready within that timeframe. I requested that they order two pair of 5.11 pants (simple enough, since they order them directly from 5.11), and I was told it would take 7-10 business days. Two weeks later, I call, and was told the pants weren't available (when was someone going to tell me that) and that they would have them in another 7-10 days. Well, three additional weeks later, I get a call that my pants are in. I get here, and wouldn't you know, both pairs of my pants weren't in...it's incredible! I told them don't even bother trying to get them in because I could have ordered them from 5.11 myself and could have gotten a law enforcement discount. I wish metropolitan uniform were still in business because this place has no competition, and will remain in business as long as these law enforcement agencies keep patronizing them. Do not waste your time going here. If I could give them zero stars I would. Also, it's not just me who has had this problem...stand in there long enough and you'll hear them constantly apologizing to customers for not having their merchandise delivered as promised. read more

Mostly a postal uniform store aside from some Carhartt coats and leather gear now that CUDA and Metro are gone they must be picking up the slack for the I will order you something but it never comes in promises which is sad to hear because they used to be a very good shop I just couldn't bear to give them one star because of the way they used to be they were pretty reliable back in the day I hope they turn around but if you have to go online or to enterprise or priority one if you need something ordered just do it online if the other two places don't have it on hand just don't risk it read more
