This place is A++ in all areas - the work they do is top notch and they run their business with the highest level of professionalism - printed quotes, scheduled times that they meet to the minute and detailed explanations. I had a great experience with Allied Body and Frame. I got rear-ended on the freeway and pushed into another car. My car was almost totaled. The back and front were completely smashed and even the sides got messed up. I took my car to Allied Body and Frame right after the accident and Dick promptly assessed the damage and the safety issues of continuing to driving the car in its condition. I had the repairs done with Allied and they did an amazing job! Dick helped me throughout the process. He was very nice and accessible, consistently answering the phone and reaching out to give me updates. He explained in detail the repairs needed and how the team was approaching them. I've had my car back for a couple weeks and it is as good as new! You would never know it was in an accident. Allied also had to repair the blind spot sensor and they brought in an outside company who specializes in this type of work. This company also did a great job as my blind spot sensor is as good as new. In addition to the excellent repairs, Dick persevered in dealing with the insurance company, which was very slow to respond and unorganized. He continued to reach out to them and made sure they covered the costs. He also negotiated with them so that they would cover the repairs (rather than totaling my car). I really appreciate his attention! He saved me from huge headaches and made sure I got my car back in excellent, safe condition. Alas my 'new' car encountered a mishap and had to have its first visit to Allied Body and Frame. The first car I took here was a 1997 Jetta, this is my 2017 Mazda so 20 years of excellent service. As always it was as painless an experience as you can have in these circumstances - quick to make an appointment for evaluation, they happened to have room immediately so I was able to arrange for my rental from their waiting room, leave the car in one trip. I got a text message every day it was in the shop confirming it would be ready 'on time' which was actually 2 days earlier than the original quote. Drove up in my Hertz rental car which i was able to just leave there and have Hertz pick up so no extra arranging of rides etc. And the car looks BEAUTIFUL inside and out - like the little altercation with my badly driving neighbor never happened. As always I hope I'm never in need of their services again, but am glad they exist since chances are I will need them.... They are a AAA preferred shop so its sooo easy with the insurance. read more

Recently had the front bumper of our Audi replaced at Allied. Not a very difficult job, but the service was great nonetheless and Pete is, quite simply, a cool guy. Feels really different dealing with him as compared to the slick, somewhat slimy guys at some of the other body shops around. What was particularly nice was the fact that the car came back looking a lot better than when we'd dropped it off, thanks to a good quality interior and exterior wash they did. Finally, the price was right. They don't jack up their labor to fleece insurance companies, so when we came in to do work that we didn't want to put on insurance. High quality work by Allied Body & Frame in Berkeley, CA, to our Toyota T-100 pickup truck for rear end collision to rear bumper and body. This is my third time to choose Allied for our insurance claims repairs since 2016. Prior to 2016, we preferred Stewart's Body Shop in Richmond, CA, which also performed high quality work; however, Stewart's was overbooked and politely postponed new repair inquiries. Looking for alternative vendor, I discovered high ratings for Allied, and decided to schedule the new claim repair. Very satisfied with our choice. Owner Pete's prior career was as CSAA Insurance Claims manager. I observe his prior career experience positively reflects Pete's and office manager Dick's professional knowledgeable approach in structuring insurance claims for the hassle-free benefit of their insured customers. Allied is a CSAA Insurance approved shop which makes the experience even more effortless for CSAA insureds. Bonus, I appreciate that Hertz Local Edition Rental Car is close 3 blocks walk from Allied which is convenient to pickup/dropoff a substitute car during repairs. My car's a magnet for dumb drivers...they love to hit it, especially on quiet residential streets. Brought my car here after I got in an accident a couple of months ago. Other party's insurance co (AAA) gave me a list of places to pick from and I chose these guys after reading their yelp reviews. I chose wisely!!! I worked with Dick who was AWESOME and kept me in the loop via email and cell of the status. Very professional, nice and cool. When I went to pick it up, I was so pleasantly shocked that they not only fixed the body damage done by the accident but other dings and scratches on my door that were already there. It was washed and clean as a whistle. Kinda makes me want to get in an accident on the other side of my car so I can get that made pretty too. The area they fixed (driver's side quarter panel, passenger door and bumper) are so nice now, the rest of my Saab looks like poopoo. I have been a customer of Allied since my boyfriend recommended them to me in 2005. At that time I had a bmw with a badly damaged front fender from someone who kindly(me being sarcastic) and (anonymously being literal) smashed into as it was parked and I was asleep(sorry still a little bitter about it). Anyway I found this shop to be very clean(go figure) and the owner Peter to be very professional. That's all fine and good but what about the service? What did I know as far as I was concerned your insurance pays the shop, the shop fixes your car, the end. Well this was to be my first lesson in the In's and outs of this business and where allied gained my loyalty. I WAS(note the capital letters) insured with geico. When the adjuster came to the shop he authorized an aftermarket fender for my car, which was fine by me, but not by Peter. He argued the guy down saying that my car was a lease and needed to be returned with all factory equipment or I would be liable, of course geico didn't mention this to me. They did, however cave in and authorize the additional expense. I didn't know this to be true but I'm so thankful that Peter did because that is exactly what the dealer told me on that sad day that I returned sebastian(yes my car had a name and no I don't get out enough). Since then I have been to allied on two other occasions and have sent several family members and friends. All of which have had similar positive experiences. Thanks for everything Peter. read more

I've done business with a lot of body shops and this one is by far the most professional. They estimated my car would take 1 week but actually finished it within 3 days. They are AAA certified and also have partnership with hertz. When I dropped my car off they called hertz for me and had me picked up. When it was time to pick up my car I was able to leave my rental here for hertz to pick it up. And when I picked my car up they gave it back to me washed and detailed! 100% recommend them and will continue to do business with them in the future. read more

Allied Body & Frame, Take Two. Some noodle head in the Trader Joe's parking hit my car and ran, leaving me holding the bag, or rather, the dent. Left rear door. Didn't look so bad but the damage was on the rear leading edge which is factory-formed with a crease over the wheel well. Required a subtle (read: pricier than my deductible) repair. So, back to Pete Prisbo's Allied Body & Frame which earned an earlier five-star rating from me for replacing my entire rear bumper. And again, I'm thrilled with the work and the service. I just used Allied to replace my Toyota Corolla's front bumper and headlight after my car was hit while parked. It was extra stressful to have to deal with the other driver's insurance company, leave my car for a few days, deal with a rental car company, etc. But Peter is experienced with this and made it so much easier. He has a relationship with near-by rental companies and called them to pick me up and then let me drop the rental at his shop when I picked up my car, saving me a lot of time. (The woman who rented me the car at Hertz was also extremely helpful.) The work looks great and my car was cleaner when I picked it up than when I dropped it off. (We had used Allied about 10 years ago to repair the dashboard of our Toyota wagon after a break-in, and that work was excellent, too.) Highly recommended! read more
