It took forever for them to schedule the first meeting through emails which were very impersonal, short, and sometimes rather rude tone of vibe. They never showed up and I just wasted all morning ... Guess they had a bigger fish to fry and my money was not good enough for these guys. I just read some reviews and I am not the only person they did not show on their appointments. The worst thing was they did not even bother to call me to apologize. This must be their way of doing business... Round 2! As soon as I posted my review, he had balls to blame me about not having my address on the Yelp response. And that's the reason he couldn't keep his promise? He is a lair. I do have an email response from him clearly showing my address as of 11-15-2022. Please read his response which he claims that he is not guilty any wrongdoing and trying to blame everything on me. BEWARE .. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU I REALLY wanted to like this company. The salesman, Joe, was very personable and appeared quite knowledgeable and reassuring. These guys were in no way the cheapest quote. I went with them because I felt a genuine level of professionalism from Joe and assurance in the product they sold to me. After installation I noticed that the color was completely off (appears pinkish although Joe assured me the color we selected would have NO pink), the texture was very poor and splotchy in places, and there was overspray all over the house and adjacent planters and retainer wall. The workers had ZERO communication with me and came and went as they pleased although I repeated numerous times to PLEASE let me know when they were coming, so I could secure our dog. The pool deck is SUPPOSED to be WATERPROOF. Well, the pool deck has been installed only a few months and the morning after the first significant rain and ... well, I'll let the pictures do the talking. Allied Coatings resurfaced our pool deck and we are very happy with the results. They did a power wash, then added a texture layer. They primed and painted with Cool Life top coat, including a grit additive to make it less slippery when wet. It required 2 coats. The pool deck is significantly cooler. They entire team was easy to work with, and very responsive. The workers protected surfaces not being worked on, cleaned up after themselves, and the left extra Cool Life for us. The color enhances the look of the pool area, and is more contemporary. read more

Not only did this firm provide a fantastic customer experience, the result of their work and advice has significantly added value to my home. The previous owners had poured and tinted the concrete and pool decking themselves (literally the entire back yard), and it had become an ugly, mottled mess. I had been told I would need to replace and re-pour all of it - tens of thousands of dollars in all. Perusing through the "Home Concepts" mailer magazine, I figured I'd give them a call as a last resort before taking on this enormous (and expensive) endeavor. Joe answered my call, got some information about what I was seeking and was cautious, but optimistic, to set my expectations appropriately as to whether they could offer a solution. Very friendly, courteous and professional, he arrived at our scheduled, free consultation, took one look and was quite confident they could solve my problem. Well, solve they did! We really appreciated the honesty for the amount of work and money that would need to go into our water damaged cement in our backyard. They recommended not re-coating for our specific project due to the amount of damage that would need to be repaired being equivalent to a complete dig up and repaving. What a great company. Darren came out and injected polyurethane into our retaining wall, which was never properly waterproofed by the previous owner, forming a curtain on the other side of the wall. With a couple of touchups, the results were perfect. We performed multiple water tests, and there's now zero moisture. This was really important to us because our house is built up against the retaining wall, and we had had an enormous mold problem. Now it's been fixed, thanks to Darren's expert handiwork. Was super impressed by the process and by his commitment to quality. He called me numerous times to follow up and to make sure that everything "took." Really cares about the customer. From start to finish, Allied Coatings did a great job on resurfacing my patio. My house was built in 1960 and the patio is as old as the house. Structurally pretty sound but with small cracks and patches and sections where posts had been removed without patching and needed a facelift. I met Joe the sales rep first who came over and explained everything in a detailed but straight forward way, telling me exactly what they'd do and exactly the materials they used. Can I give zero stars. Had two meetings set up with this company to get a quote. First time estimator had an emergency and never followed up to schedule me. Called back in and was assured the project manager would personally come out. Called to tell me they would be 30 mins late and then 10 minutes later called to say the meeting is not ending anytime soon and they need to reschedule. Lady was very nice but I told her how can I have any confidence in your reliability as a customer when I can't even get service as a prospect. Waste of 1 month of my time.... read more
