We decided to go through Costco for our flooring. Costco contracts through West Coast Flooring in our area. Flooring for the entire house is a major investment and we feel the cost was reflective of the quality of the product. We can honestly say it was a positive experience from first call to final day of installation. The first call was to Bridget, who set the home appointment with Jaylene. Jaylene was very patient and helpful in the selection of the flooring. We chose Core Tec Butterscotch Oak. Brian then contacted us to set the installation date and answer any questions. Deni and George arrived on time on 7/13 and completed the job on 7/17. They are highly skilled and did an amazing job. We were impressed with their work ethic and respect for our property. We purchased our Master Bedroom Fabrica carpet through West Coast Flooring in 2021, and had a good experience with them. The carpet was great, but our Doodle puppy stained several spots in late 2021. We decided to replace with exactly the same carpet and went back to West Coast Flooring. They offered us a good price and timely installation. Jesus was the lead tech to do the install. Jesus and his helper arrived right on-time about 8:15A and left 11 hours later after completing installation. Jesus is clearly an expert in his trade. He had the furniture disassembled and moved out in what seemed like a blink of an eye. He and his helper worked quickly, but carefully, to remove the existing carpet and install the new carpet. I had no idea the project was so big. But, the scope did not deter Jesus. About 8 hours in I offered to let him stop and come back in the morning, but he said he wanted to finish the job that evening, which he did. He made sure the bed frame was put back together correctly and centered on the wall, and the other furniture was returned to its original position. The quality of installation is impeccable. And, he left all the rooms in pristine condition. You'd never know new carpet was just installed (except for the fact there are no puppy pee stains). Highly recommend! We got in touch with Westcoast Flooring through Costco. Our sales manager was Woody who told us about a 15% promotion currently being offered. He was patient and provided alternate quotes to help us with this major decision. We then worked with Feras and his team for the floor installation. Project took about 2 weeks to complete for our entire home. Feras was even on vacation out of the country but managed to call me multiple times to check in and keep me posted on what's on agenda for the upcoming days head. His team have been very professional and easy to work with. They moved all the heavy furniture including washer and dryer, fridge, beds, sofas, and treadmill! They closed off certain areas with heavy duty plastic covering to limit dust when they removed tiles. Asked for LVP.. Was under the impression we got LVP.. Then onsite the installer told us we actually were sold laminate. Found ALCOHOL in our breast milk freezer during work hours and felt violated immediately. Installers cranked the A/C down while leaving doors and windows open to make their stay more enjoyable. Installers did not cover any furniture inside or outside after telling us they would. We specifically asked for our bedroom furniture to be covered, they denied and said not necessary. Paid for installers to move the furniture.. they installed the floors, added 12 bags of self leveling concrete creating a dust storm, then claimed they do not clean floors and moved filthy uncovered furniture back on top of the dirty floors. Told us this is a 5 day project. Started Monday. Thursday came, they told us they were going to finish early, yay.. but they need to start another job Thursday morning, so they won't be on site til later. They ended up rushing until 7:30pm that night, only to say they couldn't finish and need to come back at a later date because they don't have what they need and have another install. Left razor blade in work area, finish nail on low ledge. We have 3 young children, and requested Costcos advice on Wednesday of the install for different install crew or refund due to this. West Coast offered $500 for the alcohol on site, and $500 for the delays on install. They then rescinded and COSTCO offered $300 in store credit instead. We signed a contract for labor hours in the event the floors were uneven, specific cost per hour. The installers instead made up their own cost based off "custom work". When asked to explain in further detail, installer said his crew only gets to keep about 30% of it anyway. Customer service manager explained it's actually a per bag of concrete cost, not per hour like you agreed to, and we round UP or down generally. Is rounding up even legal in business? Wild! If you are looking for a low end hustle, this is your combo of Costco and West Coast Flooring. The management from both assured me to rest easy that this is an isolated incident, we gave them opportunity to make it right and they failed miserably. Our next steps are legal unless someone from West Coast or Costco can rectify. read more

I highly recommend this flooring company. 12 years ago Alphonso Luna helped me with two bedroom carpeting, that was amazing, Workmanship, ease of dealing and up front costs and contracts, very well done. Carpet was installed by a pro and no problems. They moved to Vista , and I went back to replace the old carpet and Alphonso was off, but Jaylene found me the one I wanted and , again, ease of getting high quality carpet for bedrooms, expert installation, scheduling, removing old padding and carpeting. I could not be happier to have updated , elegant Shaw carpet in the most beautiful gray/white plush colors and received the warranty by email. It is so soft and matches my new Benjamin Moore paint. Bought flooring through Costco flooring installation program. Will never do that again. Found out they don't have employees that do the installation. They have 3rd party contractors. First guy they sent out (Zach) I kicked off my property. Rude to my wife and dishonest. 2nd installation crew were better but the LVP they installed was laid at an angle throughout the whole house. 2" in 12'. They came back and fixed the main living room but the hallway and 3 bedrooms are still bad. Had to sign off saying it was good enough otherwise they wouldn't release Costco refund card. Just wanted them out. Worst experience. All their emails other reviews were right about bait and switch with up charges for prep work. Some prep is always expected but what they said was needed and the cost was ridiculous and of course they wait until your floor is demoed to tell you they refuse to continue without proper prep. Never will use Costco again. And most definitely not west coast flooring. read more

Although we are mostly happy with the installation (so far at least, it's been about 6 weeks), there are things that could have gone better. They contacted me on a Thursday for payment, job was to start on Monday. I said I would need to write a check and I was talked out of it because they said if it didn't arrive in time, they would postpone the job. Not sure why they didn't ask for payment earlier. So I attempted to do an ACH payment over the phone, but they couldn't get it to process on their end. They said they kept "getting kicked out of the system". So they next day I was forced to go to the bank and get a check anyway as I was leaving town that day. No one ever followed up to let me know the payment was received. I received a list of instructions to prepare for installation but it doesn't go over just how dusty things will get. I expected dust, but this was next level. My kids beds were not covered (nor was any furniture) so they were sleeping in dusty beds. The feet of a lot of furniture was covered in the product they used to level my floor. No one ever followed up with me during or after the installation to ask how things went. They of course promptly called for extra payment because repairs to my sub floors and it was strictly to ask for payment, nothing else. We connected with West Coast Flooring through Costco. It was a great decision. We urgently needed to replace existing LVP flooring that was poorly installed before we purchased the home, and after only a few years was lifting at the seams and buckling. We couldn't walk barefoot on the floor as it was. The product that we chose (Core-Tec LVP) was significantly better than what was there previously, and the installation was fabulous. The crew pulled out the old floor in one day, and noticed that the required moisture barrier had not been installed. They also observed that the concrete slab had not been levelled at all. They took care of all of this quickly and efficiently. Five days later we had about 1700 feet of new flooring, properly installed and looking great. I can't say enough good things about the service and attention to detail by everyone at West Coast we dealt with. read more

Hass helped select the flooring, provided clear expectations on process and took great care with furniture (including a baby grand piano). The process was tougher than expected as the previous floor was installed incorrectly and thus removal quite challenging. Hass and team were very professional, thorough with great attention to detail selecting matching wood and patterns for a seamless flow in flooring. The floor replacement was a necessity and Hass worked with me on budget and met my timeline. We want to thank you Woody, Zack, David, Jose, Pantera and the entire West Coast Flooring team for all their hard work. We want to give a shout out to Woody and David for being super patient with all of our questions. This was our first time doing a project like this. We are buyers that like to be very informed so that we don't have any surprises. Both Woody and David always made us feel welcomed to ask questions. We originally had made our choice to use Cortec's Wiltshire Oak, but Woody introduced us to Occasional Beige by Shaw Floors (Cortec is owned by Shaw Floors). Occasional Beige was somewhat similar to our first choice, but it would save us some money without losing quality. Since the colors were somewhat similar we decided to go with Occasional Beige and save some money. For those who haven't done a project like this we highly recommend you read your contract and ask questions. That way you understand what to expect from your installer. For example, we learned that in this process they don't cover cabinets nor countertops, and that's fine, but since our home is pretty new we decided to take precaution and cover our cabinets and countertops. So we had to do the prepping ourselves. Keep in mind that this is a construction project and nothing always goes according to plan. Therefore, keep an open mind and communicate with your installer to find solutions. Also, please be kind to your installer. They work really hard. We appreciated that David and his team were careful with our furniture and appliances, but if you're worried, cover them like a mover would. We are very picky on how we handle our furniture, but we decided to pay the extra fee to have them move the furniture. Not that it was needed, but we did monitor and direct them where we wanted the furniture moved. Fortunately, not all furniture had to be moved, so they would just move it from one side of the room to the next. Based on our experience we highly recommend this place. We were happy with the service. They started on a Tuesday and ended on a Friday. For those Costco shoppers, West Coast Flooring is also partnered with Costco, so we will receive a nice costco shop card due to our flooring purchase. Update 3/14/23 I got in touch with Cheri after the track ramping error was rectified to discuss a new and separate issue with my floors creaking beneath the carpet. This was caused by the age of my subfloors, not the carpet. To solve this, I needed to peel the carpet back and evaluate the subfloors underneath the carpet and the padding. While it was *not* in the scope of work for WCF to help me address this, Cheri kindly offered to send out a carpet installer to re-stretch my carpet where we needed to lift the carpet off the floors to evaluate the cause of the creaking. This work was fully paid for by WCF. My experience working with Cheri has been excellent, and if I were to provide a rating based on my experience working with Cheri alone, it would be 4-5 stars. I remain deeply disappointed by my experience working with Shane and Alex, and therefore do not feel comfortable upgrading my review to 4 stars for WCF overall. All this being said, the business and Cheri's efforts at rectifying our issues deserves to be reflected. I have increased my rating from 2 to 3 stars as they have gone beyond the scope of their responsibilities to help me with addressing my subfloors. read more
