With all the great reviews listed it is confusing why I had a bad experience. The original phone call for service was to estimate the repair as needed for a single HVAC flext duct pipe . It has been needing attention for a few years. Somewhere requesting help the on job a estimate it was labeled Diagnosed fee at the cost of 159.00 without notify of the cost. I attempted to understand the billing on the telephone and in person but was not successful. I requested an appointment with the owner for additional conversation but as of date nothing scheduled I was informed that the invoice will be turned over collection in 30 days. More in a moment. Huge employee turnover - Always Hiring Now! Not growing, Technicians quitting, Answering machine is Always on. This gives the office time to react. No negative reviews? 100% Customer Satisfaction? Impossible, Call several companies and get several options, don't rely on " Disneyland fantasies" that aren't realistic. Our heat pump went out on 6/26 in the evening. 6/27 will likely go down as the hottest day this year (111 in Central Point), plus we have family in town, so obviously we were very interested in getting the unit working again. Called NP Sunday AM, and received a call back within an hour. 20 minutes later, Rob was at my home repairing the unit. He communicated well, making it clear what was happening, plus offered suggestions regarding what to look for in the future. The weekend rate for a service call was steep, and we paid a bit more for an "upgraded" part (due to the standard version not being readily available), but it was totally worth it and the experience gave me confidence in NP. I called on Friday to set up an appointment to diagnose and service my AC. I spoke with Shelly. We set up an appointment for Monday, 11AM. Reasonable, considering working people need their time off. Monday, 11AM. No call, no show. I waited fifteen minutes and called back and got Trish, of Nathan Perry's "answering service". I was told she would call back with an ETA. 12:30. No call. I called back and got Michael, from the same answering service. He had no answer for the issue, and informed me that Trish had stepped out of the office. I asked for follow up, and a chance to speak with the person I've talked to. I also asked to hold, since I had not received a callback. Eventually, after twenty minutes of holding, I got Ashley, who I gather is the manager of their answering service, who connected me directly with Shelley. Shelley lied to me, stated that the appointment was now going to be from 1 to 3. I asked what happened to my original appointment and she told me she was cancelling my service call altogether, and refused to answer my questions. I've used Nathan Perry before, and not experienced this kind of mistreatment in years past. I set aside time and money based on my past experiences with them. By comparison, this was an asinine experience, in the midst of a heat wave. I would not recommend them if this is how they are conducting their business going forward. I wish I could give negative stars, but Yelp does not currently feature that option. read more

I have been using Nathan Perry for annual maintenance on my heat pump for 4 years, and I have always had the most proficient professional service, and that continues. This is the first time I needed a repair. The service person, Ty, was very POLITE, KIND, PROFESSIONAL, and very KNOWLEDGEABLE. He explained how it all worked in a very understandable way. He replaced the motor (which was burnt out) and another component. When those went out, another component went out so Ty replaced that as well. A few years ago Nathan Perry installed a Mini-Split in our garage. I had them come out today because I thought it wasn't working properly. The technician showed me what I was doing wrong with the control unit and it's working as intended. He also re-programmed the house thermostat to much better settings. My AC kept turning itself off. I had three service calls from another HVAC company. Those technicians tried. One adjusted the thermostat and replaced a capacitor. But the AC stopped working again. Figured I needed new eyes on the problem. Two neighbors recommended Nathan Perry HVAC. Corey came out. I told him I needed someone who was a good diagnostician and described the problem again. In short order, Corey found that there was a loose wire. He tightened all the wires, and my AC has been working for a week now with no problems. I am very grateful for Corey's expertise and problem-solving abilities. I will plan to use this company for my HVAC needs going forward. read more

I have had these guys come out a few times. Once to install my whole house heat pump, once for a secondary mini-split and a couple of times just for routine check-ups. They use an answering service to avoid contact and accountability. Called three times leaving my contact info, name, number, address, problem, plus other info. I did this every time I called all within a couple days. While this is annoying, it did not compare to later contact. Owner called a couple days later and said they would be taking caretreatment. two days. Then Crickets. No call. No technician for a/c broken in 100 degree weather. Sooo, I called back to get another sample of their silent treatment. I was an established customer and old friend of the owner. We scheduled a unit replacement for one of our medical facilities. They arrived and refused to wear a mask despite there being a state mandate. They left, did not complete the scheduled repair and left us to scramble to get another company to help fix the unit that isn't working in January 2023. read more

It was approaching 100° outside and our A/C unit quit blowing out cold air. I had made an appoinment a week out with another A/C company (which was the soonest I could get) and then a friend at work recommended Nathan Perry! I called and explained my situation and he came out that very evening, assessed the problem, and got the parts ordered that very day! He was a life saver, only had to wait a few days for the parts to come in and he had us up and running by the time we would have had the original appointment! Now that's service. I have waited a while to do this review, a couple of years since Nathan installed our new heating/air system. I wanted to make sure I was fair in this review. At first we were very satisfied with the work and cost. Since then, if possible, would now rate a 0 if I could. The First problem was we also used them to do annual maintenance and some fixes, we had the most unprofessional service rep come and he 100 percent lied about my wife just asking questions about the work and systems. He claimed we were rude and critical of his work, they then said they would no longer come to our home and service our systems. That now explains why, in the last couple of years we have spent over $3000 fixing problems due to the systems installation was completely done wrong. We have had to change how it drains to how each unit was installed on the walls. When they did come out we would ask questions, how something would work or not or when fixing something asking why they did it that way. Not getting into details this company completely fails in customer relations, installation, follow up on issues or guarantees. If my wife wants to ask simple questions she should be able to and get reasonable answers. We also were treated by office people in the most disreptfull manor. They wouldn't return calls, we left messages and had no idea what was going on, actually thought they went out of business. I suggest anyone look very hard at anyone else, even if your desperate. That is my warning to you. There are plenty of other service companies out there so check them out before Nathan's. read more

Absolutely NOTHING I can say bad about these folks. They replaced our heating and cooling units 10 years ago, when, after a couple decades in the place, it went out. They were quick, responsive, and thoroughly professional the whole time and, aside from occasional routine maintenance, we've had NO problems since then. A couple days ago, however,our weather suddenly decided to go blast furnace hot, blowin' out capacitors in heat pumps all over the valley, despite which, when I called to report a problem with our unit, I was able to get through quickly, get an appointment set up for a couple days later and then, almost before I could hang up the phone and resume my seat, I got another call advising that they'd just had a time come open and wondered if we were interested in getting it taken care of there and then. We said "yes" and, within 15 minutes I had a man out, the panel off the unit and a diagnosis made and price quoted. Within 3 hours of making my initial call, my unit was up, working, thoroughly checked out and ready to resume duty. This was absolutely flawless performance administered by friendly, personable and thoroughly professional individuals, from the person who took our call to the tech who performed the job. I think it highly likely that, so long as there is a "Nathan Perry Heating and Air", we'll be using Nathan Perry's services. read more

Our first experience with HVAC is with these folks. They responded to our call and we set an appointment. The technician, Rob called and arrived a little early and got straight to work. He was very helpful and explained all that he was doing and answered all of our questions. He serviced our system and offered some advice on the care of our system and what we could do to insure reliable service going forward. It is a question, I kept having to have them come out and fix something on my unit so finally I called somebody else they told me the problem I called Nathan Perry he realize they were right and he fixed it so I called to say thank you I was treated like crap I spent a lot of money on service calls. I think it's sad that you have to call another company and pay another service fee to find out the problem yeah I would never do business with Nathan Perry again. And I tell everybody. Nathan Perry Heating was not willing to stand behind the 1 year warranty on a new installation to the original buyer of a new house. Their claim: The warranty period started when the unit was installed not when the house was sold. That may be so but they were not even willing to have someone come out and listen to the unit for 5 min with out charging $90 for the call.
