Not recommended. I should have searched and read the reviews beforehand. The salesman over promised and supposedly under priced all the work we had discussed in detail several times. It was an expensive project, which we agreed on and signed the contract. After the contract was signed, the necessary tasks conveniently increased in price with the salesman saying he forgot to add certain parts of the project and more materials were needed than he anticipated. Just a bunch of lies, excuses and overselling. The company actually subcontracts to other contractors, which I did not like. I thought all the workers would be working for Allied, so the work and communication could be seamless. Instead, it was chaotic and unorganized at times. The promised date the project would be fully completed by kept getting delayed and pushed back. The crews did clean up afterwards but not well. There were a lot of nails found all over my property. It was very stressful because I had to take off work an additional several weeks beyond the mutually determined project completion date. I also had to closely monitor to make sure the work was done well, which I had to point out many mistakes along the way. The company did not take any responsibility for increasing the prices along the way or for the big time delay in completing our home project. The team who installed the siding was amazing. Great work and cleaned up every single day. Looks great. However, their team who did the painting had several issues: they were about to leave without painting the gutters. They got paint on the brick. They got paint on the driveway. I was to get all leftover paint and they were not leaving at my home. I had to ask for the leftover paint. I had to get a supervisor, who fortunately showed up about 30 minutes before they tried to leave, have them correct the issues-all except paint on brick which I CANNOT GET OFF. They also handed me a sheet to complete about the job as they were leaving and said I had to fill out and give back to them before they left. The sheet stated that they were to give me this sheet on day one, not on day seven. Allied Siding sign was not put in my yard till day six and they should have put out in day one. I called the office in Tomball to report all issues. Melissa listened and was glad I called. She felt the manager should also speak to me-he called and did not seem interested at all as to what I had to say. read more

We used this company in 2009. The "salesman" liar led us to believe the Simonton windows would be replace if they were defective, free of charge. Within 10 years, 2 windows has become foggy. I called for replacements and was told we would be out $75 per window. I was so mad. I HUNG UP. Now in 2022 one window cracked on the outside pane, so I decided to get all 3 fixed. Allied won't put them in and just sent me to Simonton Windows directly. They will send replacement windows, but I have to install them myself. Crooks all of them. NEVER USE ALLIED. Price was one of the higer quotes but the salesman was professional and they followed up the quote the following day to answer questions. When the old siding was removed, it was discovered there was no plywood or any other form of support on the studs other than the drywall on the inside and the thin siding on the outside, supporting the roof. Welcome to Texas. As well, the windows were floating on nails, supported by insulation and nothing else. They put plywood on the entire second floor and put wood in to attach the windows to along with new insulation. They rebuilt the exterrior of the second floor of my home. And there was never a queston as to how, who or dumping it on me and asking how i wanted to deal with it. They just did it. There was an extra charge for the wood, and they probably spent twice as much time on the job as when it started out, but they did it and did a professional job. If you are looking for the cheapest price, they are probably not who you want. If you want a professional job and not have to worry about pitfalls or other undiscovered problems that pop up, they are the right company. I am planning on hiring them to deal with the rest of the house now after seeing what kind of work they did with the siding. read more

Thursday June 10th 2021 11:20 I am a 66 year old retiree on a fixed income. I engaged Allied Siding and Windows to install windows and new Hardy Plank trim, facia and ventilated eaves on my home. The total bill came to over $10,000. I shrugged off all the cracked brick joints I found after they did the work and repaired them myself. I had to call the company back to have them finish painting the facia on the back of my garage which they did. I don't know how the crew supervisor missed that but they did along with other things as it turns out. A few years after the window installation some of the inert gas seals on the windows they installed leaked and the windows fogged. We called and their response was to tell us it would be an $80 charge just to come out to evaluate the problem. No thanks. We have since had three large picture windows installed by another vendor who has a lifetime guarantee and transferrable warranty. But to the problem at hand. In May 2021 during our heavy rains a large eight by five inch piece of perforated Hardy Plank eave board fell out and revealing it was rotted and that additional water damage had occurred to the wood support structure behind it. I was astonished as Hardy Plank has a guarantee of 30 years. I first contacted Allied Siding and Windows by email on 5/5/2021 I sent photos of and a description of the problem. Melissa Franklin was the contact person. She ensured me she forwarded the email to the warranty team. Nothing. Did not hear back until 6/10/2021 one month a five days later probably because of the pending company bankruptcy and I assume across the board staff reductions. I got a call from the president of the company Darryn Finn around 11:30 AM that day on the 10th. Probably because I mentioned in a second email to Melissa Franklin that I would seek alternative courses of action if I didn't hear back from Allied. No one was sent out to evaluate the problem and Mr. Finn immediately tried to avoid responsibility by saying it was caused by the Leaf Guard gutter installation which was installed immediately after the Hardy Plank fascia and vent eave panels were installed and painted. He informed me that the company, Allied Siding and Windows was in receivership (bankruptcy) as if that might strike a sympathetic chord in me. Wrong. I summed things up as I saw it: he wasn't going to stand behind his companies work. Nor the materials. With regard to the 30 year Hardy Plank warranty Mr. Finn said it was James Hardy and company's problem and not his. I guess the irony of his company failing and his adamant refusal to accept any responsibility for the work his company does was lost on him. I grant him that the work was done ten years ago. But I also pointed out that there were no other problems in other areas that were exactly the same but had been caulked but that the problem area had not been caulked. For the Hardy Plank to fail 20 years before the warranty was up was unacceptble. The conversation ended in a shouting match when I stated that I'd pay for the repairs myself and then I would do everything I could to see that others knew how he conducted business via social media. He responded with screaming threats about how he'd sic his attorneys on me. I still laugh about that. I'm not one to be bullied or have my lunch money stolen. I guess Mr. Finn is used to people rolling over to his verbal abuse. I've gone through the same thing before and having been to law school, I know it isn't liable or defamation if you can document and prove every word of your claims. So I'm not afraid of his attorneys. I think being in receivership will keep them busy. So be warned. I'll let you decide if you want to do business with a company that won't stand behind their work or their products. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Allied Siding! Monte came out to the house, took measurements, and walked us through all of our options. He answered every question that I had, and I felt confident that I knew exactly what would be occuring. The price was very competitive and even though it was slightly higher than another quote, we felt the most comfortable with Allied. Then Jesse came out to again verify what we purchased. The lumber was delivered on Friday. Roberto and his team started right on time and communicated through out the whole process. They worked Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and we did our final walk through on Friday. I felt very safe leaving them to work on home while I was away. Recently had a bid with Allied Window. Salesperson was helpful and bid was inline. Looking forward to our new windows. UPDATE: After I received the bid, a few days later I received an email from John G. Culver (Allied Director of Sales) stating "Consistent with the terms and conditions of our agreement, Allied is canceling the Custom Installed Windows dated January 29, 2019". Of course John wasn't man enough to pick up the phone to deliver this bad news so I had to call him myself. He then explained that they were canceling the order due to my comments on social media (long story short, Years ago I gave them a bad review on yelp, but the past was in the past so I decided to give them another try.). After all, Allied contacted me to bid on my windows based on the information I sent into HomeAdvisor! Unknowing to John, my father lost his job and they were foreclosing on his house. Our family pulled to together and got the house out of foreclosure. We then decide to help our parents buy new windows (as many were cracked or broken) In hindsight John actually did me a favor..... After ALLIED REFUSED TO HONOR THEIR BID.... I then spoke to a builder in the local area and he referred me to a company called Best Investments out of Humble Texas. Allied installed hardiplank and replaced 22 windows for us in 2006. Job went great and we were totally satisfied. Fast forward to June, 2022. Allied installed hardiplank and replaced 6 windows on a different house. Night and day difference. Experience was horrible and we couldn't be more dissatisfied. Little to no communication until it came time for final payment at which time the call was quite prompt. Workers weren't supervised at all. Job site was always filthy; we are still picking up nails, screws, chunks of hardiplank, beer caps and limes. Allied employees were less than truthful. If you want a smooth, stress free job, I don't recommend Allied. If you are looking for stress, bull shit, needless delays and overall dissatisfaction consider Allied. Our job reached the point we just wanted the workers gone and will finish anything that needs to be done ourselves. read more

We hired Allied to install $22,600 of James Hardie ColorPlus siding in 1Q2016. That's the kind with the color built into the siding. A year and a half ago we started seeing white spots at nail holes and butt seams in siding. Now it looks terrible. Too bad we can't post pictures here. Started the complaint process and submitted at the end of June 2018. Two weeks after Melissa from Allied acknowledged the work was unacceptable after seeing my pictures and seeing pictures from their foreman who did the job (didn't trust me). She promised to have Brien Ebert, director of operations and second to John Culver, founder, contact me. Since then Brian Ebert has admitted twice that Allied was at fault for the improper application of the caulk. Two more months of unreturned calls from Brian Ebert. I filed a BBB claim against Allied (#13102378) He said they would fix it by patching the bad spots (dissimilar materials and different aging, really?) and if I didn't like it they'd paint the house. To top that the warranty would be even better than the $22,600 original spend. No documentation and no follow-up to that. They replied to BBB saying they'd patch it. No time schedule, no update on warranty. I feel sorry for the people who work there. They have to protect people who have admitted they screwed up and still won't have the decency to step up and talk to their customers. That's got to be a crappy job. Will be exploring legal action to at least get them to give me the money to paint the house. read more

We hired Allied to replace 2 of our 8 patio windows. They are grey tinted double-pane windows. They measured and saw our existing windows. The first time they came out they couldn't install because they had the wrong size. When they returned a couple of weeks later, they were tinted green, not grey, and told us while installing that they can replace the glass. We called the next day and were told they don't think they make grey tinted windows any longer (never mind that we are building a new home with double-pane grey tinted windows). Now they tell us we have to pay another $1,000 to replace the windows to match our existing windows. Allied said common sense would tell me that they wouldn't match because the existing windows are older. Terrible customer service: They can't measure correctly,they are ill-informed, they lie about replacing the glass and they insult the customer. If Allied had common sense, they would tell the customer that they will replace windows but they won't match. Who in their right mind would think that you have tell specialist that you want your windows to match? After all, they are onsite and recommending the replacement windows. We are pursuing all options against this company. read more

After a god-awful 3 months dealing with Wonderful Windows, I was back to shopping windows and called Allied. I'd actually spoken to them months before and the sales guy, Greg, remembered me. He came over and gave me a quote and was very friendly. I asked for some references of similar type jobs and there was one just a few blocks away that I walked to and checked out. The owner wasn't pleased that his information was shared without his permission, but otherwise he had good things to say about Allied. I wanted some assurances so he had the installer/manager guy Rick came over. Rick really sold me on the company. He knew what he was talking about and he explained how they were going to install the windows (something that Wonderful did not do.) It was a particularly difficult job which I was upfront with, but Rick had experience with it. Rick kept in touch with me and responded when he said he would. He let me know when the windows arrived and then we scheduled the work. I ended up getting them installed 3 weeks early (and on my birthday weekend too! Yay!) because they had an opening. Because of the complexity of the job it took 2 days, so the crew were out on a Sunday which they didn't complain about. They cleaned up after themselves, were very polite, and put up with my questions and additional requests. Really great job. The finished product is amazing. I live on a busy street and the new windows have seriously reduced the noise levels. I'm sure they'll help with the A/C bills in the summer but my main reason to upgrade was noise and they really deliver. My father recommended Allied to me initially (I really, really should have gone with them) and I'm definitely going to recommend them to my neighbors and friends. I'll recommend Wonderful Windows to people I dislike. read more

Unfortunately we did so, and over a year later still trying to get their incredibly awful workmanship made right. It's been one broken promise after the next! From John Culver, to Bryan Ebert and countless contractors. We have had water coming in, through the two sets of french doors they installed, since last November! We have exposed top plates from porch to house! They have absolutely zero concern for these serious issues! Responding to John C's comments: 1. You are correct, we purchased our replacement windows from Allied Siding and Windows 17 years ago. I believe that time period would still be inclusive in a 'Life Time Warranty'. 2. The pictures clearly show where the windows were screwed in through the exterior of the channel, resulting in a breach. The improper placement of the screws resulted in rain leaking down the channels and rotting the wood siding on our home. 3. The pictures also show where the installers screwed into air...no frame, no 2x4, nothing. As I explained to Allied in our efforts to get this matter resolved, yes, our contractor removed the dangling screws as they were preparing our house to install Hardie siding. 4. Since purchasing our windows from Allied we have replaced our rotted wood siding every 5 to 6 years - I welcome you showing me how that is neglect. read more

I have given these guys a number of chances, but they are a total bust. Had a guy come out over 4 weeks ago for a house wide window replacement estimate. 4400 SF house, lots of windows. No word after a week, so I emailed. Said he was sick, would get me something in a few days. A week later, still nothing, and now ignoring emails. Contacted his boss, told him the whole story, and he acted absolutely floored that this could have happened. Would get back to me in a day or two. Now 10 days later, finally got him on the phone after 3 tries, and he still has no answers, just more excuses. Like it is somehow my fault or the fault of my house why they still have no estimates. If it's this hard to get an estimate, can you imagine how hard it would be to get the windows actually installed? Time to move on. Quality work at a fair price. Windows are a big improvement and siding was definitely needed. Crew of 4 or 5 worked through the weekend to complete the job and left the work area clean. After we discovered a problem, the crew foreman came back out on a Sunday to make sure the problem was fixed and everything was back together as new. They stand behind their work. read more

Not sure where to start. I have never written a review about a company before but this one just keeps going. I contacted Allied at 713-Windows in March of 2018 about replacing a broken window. They setup an appointment the following week for Monday at 5:30 and charged me $90 to have someone come give me a price! Monday around 4:30 I get a call from Sam claiming he was closing on a house and couldn't make it that day and had to reschedule. (I guess closing on a house is a spur of the moment thing?) So we rescheduled for that Wednesday. The following week in March I called Sam back and told to more forward with replacing the window. He asked me to sign the contract and send it to him so he could order the window. I sent him the contract the same day and he replied thanks. At that point he told me it would be 2-3 weeks for the window to come in. So three weeks later I called to see if the window came in and I was told no but maybe on Thursday's truck. This went on for another 4 weeks. During this time I made calls to Allied's office with no response or call back. Also I was asked by Sam if I still had the contract because he couldn't find it? Then in the last week of May I received a call saying my window was in and they would be out Friday at 10:30 to install it. Great! I took off work and waited at home for the installer. Around 11 I finally got a hold of someone and was told that someone else's window came in and not mine and that it was their mistake. So wasted day at home! Then comes June we sold our house and are closing the 27th! On June 12 I get a call that our window was in and they were going to try to find an installer to come put it in. Great news, well on the 20th still no news on when they were coming out to install the window. Final on the 21st I get a call they will be out on Saturday the 23rd to put the window in at 8:30 am. So Saturday at 6:45am someone is knocking on my door, who cares what time it is they are here! 7:15am bad news the window is 2" to big and wont fit! Monday June 25th we receive a letter from Allied that the replacement window would arrive in 10 business days and be installed immediately. Turn that over to the buyers along with the $1,700 charge from back in April when Allied charged me and we are good to go! Well today is 08/29/2018 and the text I received from my relator this morning reads. The new owners that bought the house still haven't heard from the window company and have stated that Allied won't return their calls. Can you please help. Great two months after they said they would have the window replaced nothing. So this morning Melissa promised me that they will reach out to the new home owners and schedule the replacement this week. But who knows what will happen? So this is what brought me to write my first review not just a bad experience but a nightmare that I can't wakeup from. Please don't use this company for small jobs! Maybe they are better at big ones but $1,700 for a window seems like there is money in it for everyone. I will keep you posted if we ever get the window in! read more

This is one of the worst experiences I have had on remodeling my home. The windows were not installed correctly and were not cleaned as promised. I have to get a factory rep involved to have the issue finally corrected. I will never recommend the company and would advise to find another company to do the installation of the windows. read more

I would not recommend this company to build a patio. Allied built a patio for me in December 2016 and this project was riddled with problems from the beginning. After three days of rain, they arrived while I was at work and poured the concrete. It was a week later than we agreed upon. They cut into our upstairs window border and it looks horrible and very unprofessional. The faux stone work looks amateur. It is now March 2017 and there are cracks in the foundation and both stone posts have cracks from top to bottom. I have emailed and called several times with no response from them. I would not recommend this company to build a patio. Update: As of May 25, 2017 NO ONE has repaired the cracked posts. I have made contact several times with only promises of next week. I would not recommend these folks. I had them replace 26 window and replace siding on my garage. They dropped a door on my new car damaging it. They also ruined my car cover, damage an irreplaceable turntable and damage a wire that shorted out my home security system. Further, they did not tell me about any of it until i discover the damage. Once i contacted them about the damage they did admit it but initially wanted me to work with the subcontractor they hired and his insurance company. They finaly back off that and worked with me on repairing my car and replacing my cover. They still have not repaired my alarm system. After 2 months of them completing windows installation i still have a large pile of trash in my yard, a new door they damage during installation has not been corrected, inspection of the windows have not been performed and various other items need to be complete. read more

I only gave a one because I had to, Pricing is much higher than other companies which is ok if they had better products or services but that is not the case. it took over 3 months to get windows in, and then had to wait on parts. BEWARE OF BUSINESS PRACTICES OF ALLIED SIDING IN TOMBALL TX I choose them to install my entire home with HARDIE PLANK siding. I chose them because they were with BBB of HOUSTON,big mistake. While installing the hardy plank siding they put two nails into my wall that struck my breaker box and blew one of the circuit breaker's that in tern did $1775 of damage to my air-conditioner unit rendering it broken. Greg Sailor the salesman, told us not to worry they would pay for it. (they would change the completion certificate amount( As required by synchrony Bank line of credit to reflect the charge for repairing our air-conditioner,(which we had repaired the day after they burnt it up)they have insurance. Well that didn't happen. So we called Greg Sailor again and he said well they Must have had a problem in the office and that we would receive a credit of $1775. Well that didn't happen either. So I called him back and he told us not to call him anymore. He was out of it. He told us to call the CFO Chriss Bleir. Who told us he would not pay for the damages but he would pay $350 for the broken circuit breaker but not the air-conditioner. Do the math that's 20% of our damages. So we're trying to straighten all this out and I get a letter through SYNCHRONY BANK stating that if I didn't pay that ALLIED would put a lien on my home. Allied did the work, SYNCHRONY paid ALLIED all of the money. 1)damage my home 2) Lie about paying for the damage 3) threaten me with a lien on my house if I don't pay the bank !!!! These people got to be real jokers any questions you have please feel free to contact me. After being contacted by the Allied Windows (hereinafter known as the company) business manager several months ago, I left that phone call feeling completely violated and blindsided. Yes, they did offer to settle with me on my claim of theft by one of their (now former) MIA installers. Yes, I was offered a paltry amount of @ $400. I was also told I would have to sign over my rights to not come back at or make any further legal claims against them. My husband was my thermometer at this point saying put a period at the end. Don't look back or expect anything else from them. I was almost there until I was told I would have to completely remove ALL comments about the company from social media. FINAL STRAW REACHED! I'm not angry and I have awakened from this business nightmare. I will never take back or make my (written, social media, verbal) TRUTH disappear. I forgive the company (and pray) for their being what I call coldhearted, but I will never forget, and will continue to turn off Great Day Houston with Deborah Duncan anytime I see the company or their representatives on there. Never ever use this company for any type of repair work on your Hardiplank!! They did the original job on our home about 10 years ago. There were some separation gaps on the Hardy plank from movement of the house. I was told that they sent their best installer out to do some caulking of the cracks. The man that came out did the sloppiest worst job you could ever imagine with the caulking! It's smeared all over the Hardy plank.. And he used black caulking on a light gray Hardie plank! I told them it was not satisfactory and he painted over it with paint he tried to match by taking something off of my house! It doesn't match at all and stands out like a sore thumb. At one time this was one of the best companies in town, but not anymore. I would not trust them to do anything on this house again..even if it was offered for free. Find a different company for your Hardiplank and windows.. Stay far far away from this company. The installer was extremely rude, and the person I talked to in the office couldn't care less about the work done. We were told we should use another company if we'd like for repairs because our work wasn't under warranty anymore. No backup at all from this company.. So sorry now that I used them. read more

I was supposed to have windows installed today; I was called by the installer last monday and claimed he would start work at 8:00 am...I am a a contract employee if I do not work i do not get paid; I took the morning off to get the windows installed (5). i had to call several times cause 8 came and went and I was assured he was on his way to my house twice by himself...I spoke with tracy and she told me I would get compensated for this and that she has told the installer many times that he needs to contact the customer (ME) Now, 5 hours later after not hearing from anyone and after I went to work since nobody called , I get a call saying he is at my door so I asked him to wait 5 minutes for me to return. and to call to see who is refunding me this time wasted. When I got home he did not call anyone and just wanted to argue with me; He told me that allied gives him all day to complete the job....Nobody told me this! This man lied to me twice and now a third time by telling me that Allied only will refund me $200.00. he never called anyone while he was in my front yard. These guys are contractors; not real allied employees...When I asked the guy for proof that i would get refunded he took off and left. He probably went to do a job for himself and left me hanging ....I am surprised that allied uses these kind of people...I also would like to know why did allied send this man to my house who apparently has issues with customers. I have to assume that they do not care who they send...also I would like to know if they would send this man to deal with their daughter or wife or mom? surely not, but they sent this lier to my house...If a man lies to you before you even get the work done how can you trust him with your children in the house or your wife or your possessions? Allied apparently does not know or care that these contractors are by proxy representatives of the co. If I was the owner i would be pissed that an installer keeps you from getting the other 30k I was going to spend...In fact i cancelled my appt with the salesperson today......I can prove all this with my texts and phone records. So I did not get the windows installed...the installer left at 1:30...have a gotten a call form anyone???? anyone cares???...you guess right....no; hell no..... read more

This is our second experience with Allied siding and windows and we have been 100% happy. they came out and did a great job of installation and clean up. read more

I am not one for reviews but after waiting an entire Saturday for the installers to show up to install my new patio doors I must. They never showed up, they never called, my project manager never called when they were delivering the doors in fact. The delivery guy said he called and left a message to tell the project manager of the delivery but he also said he never calls back. Mind you these doors are the last piece of an over $20K remodel including all new Windows & siding. My project manager has been horrible. The install crews have been great; however there have been cost-cutting measures through out the project and I am told that the crews merely do what the project manager tells them to do. I don't think most people are around during the majority of their home remodel process or else they would notice that the project manager rarely shows and doesn't pay attention to detail. Like the columns I had them add, bill says 6 x 6 what I got was 6 x 4 which is noticeable on the front of a house where you now have rectangular columns instead of square ones. The project manager said yes that is what he expected them to look like even though he didn't write the invoice up that way. In addition, when your contract says 2 coats of paint it is not. They say their spraying process uses 2-equivalent coats of paint. After complaining I was finally called by a woman at corporate to explain the process because I obviously didn't understand it the first 3 times they explained it (yes joke intended, hey you have to find some amusement in situations). It was a no-win situation I did not get my second coat and they merely fell back on the guarantee provided by Sherman Williams. What they don't tell you is that guarantee is only for peeling, chipping and the like. I even went to Sherman Williams and they said application should always be to apply one coat, let it dry and apply the second. The only reason I am even providing 2 stars is because of the crew. I provided the crew & the crew supervisor top marks on their report card. I did hand write in that I had not determined whether I would refer others. The crew supervisor assured me the report card was for the crew only because I told him I did not want to complete in such a positive light if it included the project manager or the company. I am glad others have had good experiences and I wish I had. Too bad because I have two other structures on my property also needing Windows & siding but that business will go to another company. read more

I don't usually write bad review, but this time I have to. I have to give them one on both product and after sales service. I had my window installed less than a year ago, I am seeing problems already. when I called the company the lady said it's close to a year now. I can't believe that they think it's normal that the product I spent thousands of dollars only last less than a year. Also we had some unfinished work, the installation people told us to call any time. Now the company told us that the installation people is their contractor they do NOT responsible for what we reported to them. We did not even know the installation people is not All they care it's getting your money from your pocket, any problem after that it's your problem. read more

You get what you pay for!!! I secured 4 bids to have 16 windows and siding replaced on my home. Allied was the most cost effective therefore I chose them to do the work. First off I they demanded full payment before the repairs even began & it was at this time the light bulb should have gone off. Once the repairs began I had to walk behind them each and every day because the workers were very careless and the foreman was very unprofessional. Finally, two months after the repairs initially started & multiple phone calls had been placed to the foreman, the items that were either not properly completed or damaged were finally resolved. Or so I thought! I have two single garage doors and since one door was not fully functional @ the time the siding was replaced, it had not been used until recently. After repairing the garage door I noticed that the trim placed around it was fully pressing up against the garage door therefore would rub when opened and closed. I contacted Allied to inform them of this issue as it had not been noticed until just recently & when I was finally contacted back I was informed that I would have to pay $75 just to get someone out to inspect it. I was advised that unfortunately the gentlemen who performed the repairs were no longer with the company (no surprise there) therefore there was nothing else they could do as it was company policy that the fee be charged. Allied accepted no responsibility for their workers poor workmanship and up until now I have been quiet about their POOR Customer Service. So buyer beware, you get what you pay for!!! p.s. - I recently hired one of the companies that I originally took a bid from to do some other work on my house & they have agreed to repair Allied's mistake free of charge. read more

BE WARNED BY MY ALLIED EXPERIENCE! I hired Allied to pour a simple 16'x16' concrete slab for a prefabricated shed. Problems began almost immediately. On day one of the job, I was forced to come up with over $1000 cash on the spot to give to the concrete supplier because Allied failed to make sufficient financial arrangements with them in advance. It was pay or have a disaster on my hands which could have resulted in a lien on my property. The slab Allied poured was defective; it was not level and over half of the embedded anchor bolts were unusable. We didn't discover the seriousness of the slab's tilt until finishing out the shed. Allied measured a 2 1/2" drop from one side of the slab to the other and agreed that warranty work was required. They decided a concrete overlay would solve the problem and told me in preparation for the work an electrical outlet in the floor would need to be raised. As there was no electrician with the crew, I was told to get a bid for the work and submit it to Allied; this I did and the bid was approved by the Director of Operations. I paid for this work for future reimbursement. Allied sent a concrete crew with NO experience in this technique to apply the overlay (I was told this by the crew) and the result was a disastrously uneven floor with high areas, low spots and overall way too much applied concrete. This crew also damaged the walls by using duct tape to put up plastic sheeting, creating another repair Allied had to make. Even though I voiced strong concerns about the ability of this crew to do the leveling job properly, Allied sent this same crew back to keep working on the overlay. What they called 'finished' was a irregular surface retaining high and low spots and very obvious unevenness. In fact, my flooring installer refused to install my tile saying that the surface would likely cause the flooring to fail. It was only at this point that Allied finally sent out a concrete sub who was able to finish the job properly. What should have been a very simple slab pour turned into a hellish nightmare that cost me financially and derailed my construction project for two months. In an unbelievable turn, Allied decided to NOT reimburse me for the electrical work done at their direction, approved by them and solely related to the warranty repair because the original contract did not mention a floor outlet. It makes no matter whether an outlet was noted in the contract or not; what matters exclusively is that this cost was directly related to correcting Allied's screw up and was in the scope of warranty work. Only Allied is responsible for this cost, not me and certainly not the guy who originally installed the outlet as they ridiculously suggest. Allied sought further cover from responsibility by claiming that the payment I was forced to make to the concrete company at the onset of my job was in "violation of the terms and conditions of our contract" thus releasing them from obligation. This statement could not be more reprehensible. Allied's failure to make appropriate financial arrangements with their materials contractor put me in an extraordinarily difficult position that no customer should ever have to experience. Allied prides itself on customer service and satisfaction. They did spend more man hours and costs on my job correcting the defects but this was ENTIRELY the result of the choices they made to use an unqualified concrete subcontractor and an inexperienced work crew. Their refusal to now reimburse me speaks volumes about this company. There's a book on Allied's front reception desk that is the authority on honesty and integrity; they would do well to revisit it. read more

The project was scheduled to take about 2 weeks. It took over 4 months to finish the project. The President of the company, Leonard, and Tracy , in charge of operations, were extremely unresponsive and poor communicators. Part of the project was replacing 3 windows. They were Don Young windows. Allied installed faulty defective windows. The installers get paid for the job so they didn't care if they were bad.. 1 window was REORDERED 2 times and another window was REORDERED 5 times. I made calls to them at least 30-40 times (conservative estimate) over the 4+ month period. The siding installers got paint on my grass, trees and plants. They also spilled oil on my driveway. I had to request different people to reinstall the gutters because the siding people were not comfortable putting them back correctly. I could go on about more issues with them but this should be enough warning for you to stay away from this company. read more
