Scheduled Labor Muscles for our house move March 11, 2023. They showed up on time with 4 guys in…read morecrew. The (very polite) guys worked hard and were quite efficient loading the rented U-Haul truck. Took them about 6 hours to move the whole house. I'd give them more than 3 stars if it wasn't for some quirks along the way... 1. A rented U-Haul truck is not the sign of a licensed PA mover (see PUC's website) https://www.puc.pa.gov/ 2. All legit movers must have PA license and insurance, if they don't have it, don't use them (they are called "gypsy movers") 3. Don't use anyone who demands money upfront... Another warning flag. Labor Muscles required me to pay 50% down upfront, then charged me the other 50% PLUS $900 extra I didn't agree to! Rather than endure a legal issue we just paid Steve Pentz, the owner... and walked away.

I had Labor Muscles scheduled to help my son move into a 2nd floor apartment this past weekend. I…read morereached out and scheduled with Steve early in the week. I explained that we were moving my son from a bi-level house to a second floor apartment and I am not physically fit enough to really be of any assistance with the heavy furniture that he has. He advised that he would be available for 8 or 9 AM and gave me a verbal proposal for 3 movers, asked for the old address and the new address and an email address. He said he would said an invoice and I would need to give a 50% deposit and the rest would be payable on moving day. No problem, except by Thursday I had never received the invoice. I reached out and he explained that I hadn't provided my email address, but he would send it as soon as I did. My mistake, and I sent it right away. I also asked him for pricing to include a truck, which he verbally provided. I never did get the invoice, so I texted him and advised that at this late date, and with his agreement, I would just pay cash on moving day, which he agreed too. 6AM on moving day I got a text from Steve asking for confirmation that we were still on. I advised that we were. He explained that he was down a truck and with that he would be down a mover, so they would be able to deal with that, but he was dropping his charge accordingly, which I appreciated. 8:30-8:45 rolls around and still no movers. I reach out to Steve and he advises that he won't be there until 10 AM, as he had to get the truck. I accepted this change, but advised that doing the move later would just be hotter (it was unusually hot and humid this past Saturday). He understood, but since I was intent on sticking to the 3 hour window, he did not feel it was going to be a real issue. Then at 8:54 I got a call from Steve cancelling all together as now his second truck broke down. I'm not sure why he wouldn't chose to rent a Uhaul in order to keep his scheduled work, in lieu of cancelling last minute on a customer. I personally find it hard to believe that a mover had trouble with two (2) separate moving trucks in their fleet, and am inclined to think that he decided he didn't want to be bothered. I chose Labor Muscles because of their numerous 5 star reviews, but I am sorry that I did. They were not dependable for me. This could have been an anomoly for this business, but if you absolutely need to know you have a mover that will show, you should keep looking. Luckily, my son had a friend come in from New Jersey (3 hours away) and they were able to get the heavy furniture moved.

The final costs were almost exactly the same as their estimate. Jack and Jennifer provided great administrative support. communicated thoroughly and timely, and answered all our questions promptly. The work crew was led by John, who had decades of experience, and he and his team (Troy, Ron, and Zach) were likeable people who were experienced, strong, methodical, careful, respectful, thoughtful, serving, and a joy to have in our home. They jumped at any chance to help us in every detail. They packed everything with great care, and moved our grand piano and all our goods with total professionalism so that we had no significant damages or losses. It was so nice to watch them work as a seamless team, interacting as a group of friends would do. They were careful to lay out protective carpets and other items to preserve our space. They unloaded the trucks, bringing each item to the rooms in our new home where we wanted it, and spent time to reassemble beds and other items that had been disassembled for shipment. We're very grateful to each member of their team and couldn't recommend Williamsport Moving & Storage more highly.

I wanted to support a local business and paid $2500 for the move. It was $2500 too much!!! I was…read moretold 9am, then between 11 and noon. No one showed up until 3:330pm. I was moving to Philadelphia. I was clear when I told them a 2 bedroom apt. and I itemized everything, including 50 boxes. They showed up with 2 guys and the smallest U-haul. Then I was told the boss was showing up with a trailer. Basically, they were unprepared, 6 hours late, my things were treated carefully and my Ethan Allen chest of drawers was seriously damaged with deep gauges and scratches, unrepairable. To top that off, the owner hit on me and asked if I wanted to have drinks with him when he's in Philly!!!!!! No thank you!!! He over promised and under delivered!

HORRENDOUS COMPANY!! We paid a deposit 6 weeks ago for this…read morecompany and the day of the move they DIDN'T HAVE A TRUCK!! My mom confirmed 3 times throughout the week and the day before the move for 10 am and they didn't show up, we call and they say to her "you didn't confirm this morning so we have to get a truck we will be right there" uhmmm how many more confirmations do you need?! So we were waiting and waiting and some lady calls saying they can't get a truck around 12:30 pm and has an attitude with my mom and hangs up on her and lies to her boss Robert the company owner saying we cursed her out which never happened!! They lied and said Uhaul was not open Saturday but what does that matter when you place a deposit 6 weeks in advance for an hour away move and confirm 3 times throughout the week leading up to the move and the day before the move EXCUSES EXCUSES EXCUSES they should have been ready and gotten a truck the day before in advance no ifs, ands, or buts!!! So I Google search Uhaul after hanging up, and they ARE open, so I have to hurry down there and PAY FOR A TRUCK MYSELF!! And all they had was one 15 foot truck available when we paid a deposit with Boss Movers for a 26 foot one, so we then call the owner to send movers please to help atleast and he sends 3 movers to help, by this time it's already 2pm and the people he sent had NO idea what they were doing one had boots on that didn't even have laces in them and were flopping all over, and he kept holding his back like he was in pain after moving ONE TV entertainment stand. WHAT A JOKE!! If my brother and father weren't there to help they would have broken atleast 3 big furniture items of ours because they are not storng enough to handle them even with a hand cart, then when the first truckload was unpacked we tipped the workers each $100 and just tell them to leave so we can do the rest ourselves. They did not even deserve the tip because they were so lost smh, and then the owner has them wait outside our new home at this time around 6pm now and demand money from us, harassing us and then THREATEN TO SHOOT US!! So I had to call the police, and then the owner talked to my mom SO VILE over the phone, threatened to slice her and steal our stuff and a bunch of disgusting language I can't even comprehend, he NEVER apologized for not getting a truck and breaking the contract on his end and he SHOWS UP to our home yelling demanding money! The cops show up and explain we don't have to pay them BECAUSE THEY BROKE THE CONTRACT and then they finally left. I have NEVER in my life dealt with such an unprofessional company and group of people, and they all look like and ACT like drug addicts!!! If you have to threaten people for money and harass and extort them IT'S NOT A GOOD LOOK AND CLEARLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Also one of the girls they sent to drive the movers (because they all don't have licenses) had slippers on and her stomach was hanging out of her stained shirt and her tits were hanging over her bra put of the top of the shirt, how DISGUSTING to have workers present themselves in such a manner!! Then harass and extort people outside of their new home for money when they had just gotten a cash tip and DO NOT get paid because they broke the contract. Whoever Robert the owner is has no idea what he is doing and has traumatized our family and made this whole weekend a nightmare. We have taken 4 trips back and forth now with the uhaul I paid for and still aren't done. DO NOT ever hire this company they DO NOT deserve any business. If I could give them zero stars or a negative amount of stars I would. My whole family still is furious because we hired these people for a reason, we really needed the help my mom and dad are disabled and cannot be moving huge heavy items and Boss Movers COMPLETELY screwed up and did not do their job!!! They aren't a company at all!! They don't even have their own moving trucks then LIE to their customers and say Uhaul is closed so they can't get trucks then try to threaten and endanger your lives for their payments after they don't do the job, probably because they need drug money they all were a mess of a group of people. Just disgusting and horrendous company, customer service, and owner period. DO NOT USE THEM use Roans Movers or do it yourself and save yourself a nightmare. They should all be completely ASHAMED of themselves!!!
